Peacefully at the F.J. Davey on Sunday, October 19, 2008; Maria Mammone in her 89th year. Dear wife of the late Giuseppe. Loving mother of John (Connie), Antonio (Eda), Vincenzina Spagnolo (Domenic) and Natalina Bruni (Mario). Beloved grandmother of Joe, Mary Lou (Derek Croissant), Bruno, Tony, Joe, Michael, Mary Ann, Joe, Floralynn Nott (Kevin) and Marc. Great grandmother of Tyler and Alyson. Sister and sister-in-law to many. Maria will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Gregory's Church on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Monsignor Victor Amadio officiating. Beloved father of John (Gaetanne) of Kitchener, Carol (Steven Smith) of Lively and Terri (Tom Kewley) of Chatham. Cherished grandfather of Emilie Sorrentino, Jessica and Calvin Smith, Taylor and Josh Kewley. Brother of Agatha Fera (late Hector) and predeceased by Pauline Tagliabracci (Elvino), Julie Shiels and Tony. Dear brother-in-law of Yola Dovigi (late Gino), Ann DeLuca (Mario), Margaret Bennett (John) and the late Alexander and Nick Mandatori. Loved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Close friend of Joe and Edesse Verdone. A special thank you to the caring family, friends and health professionals who assisted John throughout his long courageous journey. Cherished brother of Carmen (late Caterina) and pre-deceased by Giuseppe (late Serafina), Eugenio (late Marianna), Marianna Bozzo (late Gnhiazio) and Luigina Felice (late Giuseppe). Brother-in-law of Ernesto Mirabelli (Maria), Anna Bozzo (Eugenio) and Nina Brunione (late Silvio). Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Beloved wife and best friend of Steve. Devoted mother and mentor of Ryan and the late Eric. Loving daughter and best friend of Muriel and Keith Studman. Loving sister to Kevin Studman (Maria) and Andrew Studman (Mary). Daughter-in-law of the late Juraj and Anna Namespetra. Sister-in-law to Josef Namespetra (Zofia), Tomas Namespetra (Anna), Helena Matejova (Josef), Anna Ulicna, Karol Namespetra (Milka) all of Slovakia. Lynne will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Lynne's kindness and gentle spirit will be remembered by her many friends. Her dedication as a lab technologist at the Sault Area Hospital for the last 27 years will be deeply missed by the many co-workers. Loving father of Leonard Jr., Frank of Windsor, Fred (Rochelle), Dave (Velma), Druanne Boyer (Ron), Darrell (Maryanne), Sherri Lynne Faubert (Paul) and the late Brenda Lee. Loving stepfather to Fred Goertzen (Linda) of Brockville and Karen Innocente (James) of Barrie. Grandfather to Shawn, Stephanie, Charlene, Paul, Adam, Shanna, Chantal, Krista Lee, Tracy, Justin, Natasha, Alicia, Michael, Karen, Jason, Christopher, Natasha, Ryan, Erin, April, Jason, David, Terry, Jason, Katrina, Janelle, Monika and special friend of Aaron Carson. Great grandfather of 35. Loving brother of Joe (Irma), John (Lee), Delena Brennan of Calgary, Sister Madeliene Poliquin of Azilda, Pat (late Louis), the late Jeanette (Harry) and the late Daniel (late Helen). Brother-in-law of Ron Pigeon (Dianne), Al Pigeon (Diane), Terry Pigeon, Jean Marc Pigeon and JoAnn Houle (Gary). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Mary, on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Virginio (Gino) Rosso. Cherished mother of Reno (late Lynn), Harvey (Sharon) and Doreen. Proud Nonna of Anthony, David (Tracey), Sherri (Sam) and Harvey Jr. Proud Great Nonna of Amanda, Nicholas, Kieran, Connor and Cheyenne. Daughter of the late Irma and Clemente Giovanatti. Sister of the late Noemi Pagnucco (late Louis), late Hugo Giovanatti (late Carmela) and the late Harvey Giovanatti (Mary) all of Sault Ste. Marie. Daughter-in-law of the late Victoria and Attilio Rosso of Italy. Sister-in-law of the late Peter Rosso (late Gina) and the late Maria Sartoretto (late Vittorio) of Sault Ste. Marie and the late Duardo & Angelina of Italy. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A private funeral service as held at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758). Memorial donations made to the Sault Search & Rescue, St. Gregory's Church or Van Daele Residents' Council would be appreciated by the family. Thank you to Dr. Cziffer, Dr. Ianni and Dr. Fratesi for looking after our Mom over the years. A special thank you to the nursing staff, caregivers on 2nd floor and the kitchen staff at Van Daele.

In keeping with Marie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
