Bonnie Richardson
Mrs. Bonnie Lee Richardson, age 60, of RR 1 St. Pauls passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, February 10, 2004. Born in Stratford, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Ehgoetz and the former Lottie Densmore. In her earlier years she had worked at Perth Insurance and Standard Products and has always worked with her husband Ron on the family farm in the Gore of Downie since their marriage on November 20, 1964. She was a member of Central United Church, the Downie Community Club, a member and past president of the Stratford Horticultural Society, an associate director of the ladies division of the Stratford and District Agricultural Society and she was the first lady president of the Stratford and District Agricultural Society in 152 years. Beloved wife of W. Ronald Richardson. Loving mother of Kimberly (Kim) Richardson (Dave Johns), Stratford and Lisa McClelland (John), RR 1 St. Pauls. Cherished grandmother of Tanner Addison Johns and Scott Andrew McClelland. Twin sister of William Ehgoetz and wife Irene, RR 4 Stratford. Also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Bob and Cathy Richardson, Ross and Karolyn Richardson, Reta and Ken Huether, Raymond and Barb Richardson and Reg and Carol Richardson and many nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters-in- law Judy Richardson, Delphine Richardson and Gayle Richardson. Friends and relatives may call at Central United Church on Wednesday, February 11, 2004 from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Central United Church on Friday at 1 p.m. Rev. Cheryl-Ann Stadelbauer-Sampa will officiate. Interment will follow in Avondale cemetery. James Farnell Lawson, of 66 Princess Street, Stratford passed away at the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, December 28, 2000, in his 81st year. Robert (Bob) Gropp
Robert (Bob) Brian Gropp, age 54, passed away in Stratford on Monday June 11, 2001. He was born in Milverton, son of Lenore (Schauber) Meyers of Stratford and the late Elmer Gropp. He lived in Milverton until 1979 when he moved to Stratford. He was a former employee at Electrohome Industries, Milverton and Allied Signal (Honeywell), Stratford. He had been an active member of the Milverton 4 Wheel Drive hockey team. He is survived by his mother Lenore Meyers, his wife Donna Gropp, sister Cathy Thuell and husband Bill, Stratford, brothers Jim Gropp and friend Lucy, Mildmay, Ken Gropp and friend Lynn, Milverton, Doug Gropp and friend Penny, Stratford, Ron Gropp and wife Phyllis, Wellesley. Also surviving are several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their families. He was predeceased by his daughter Tabitha, his father Elmer and a sister Marilyn. Florence Diehl
Florence Juliana Marie Diehl, 95, of Tavistock and formerly of Hamilton passed away in the People Care Health Care Centre, Tavistock on Thursday, November 8, 2001. She was born in Tavistock on July 30, 1906 a daughter of the late Adam and Annie (Yausie) Diehl. Florence was a receptionist at Tait-Gibson Optometrists in Hamilton for 29 years. She is survived by her nephew, Donald Diehl, of Woodstock; greatnephews, Douglas, Jim and David Diehl and several cousins. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Clarence and Martha Diehl; her niece, Jean Finch in 1974 and by her great-nephew Robert Diehl in 1980. James McCaffery
James McCaffery, a resident of Spruce Lodge, 643 West Gore Street, Stratford and formerly of 136 Douro Street, Stratford, passed away at the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, January 3, 2002 in his 90th year. Born at Hamilton, Scotland he was a son of the late John Thomas McCaffery and Agnes (Potter) McCaffery. He had been a resident of Stratford since 1941 and was a car inspector with CNR for 25 years and was later employed with the Stratford General Hospital until retiring in 1977. James was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Kilroy Council. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Peggy) Harrison on December 3, 1991. She was born in Stratford, November 20, 1917, a daughter of the late Walter Reinhart and the former Anna Dopp. She was a member of St. Joseph s Roman Catholic Church, Stratford. Douglas Fischer
Mr. Douglas Louis Fischer, 75, of Spruce Lodge, Stratford passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, December 12, 2002. He was born at Lot 19, Concession 8 of Ellice Township and lived on the home farm where he worked in small engine repairs and maintenance until coming to Stratford in 1982. While living in Stratford Doug learned the art of weaving and his work can be seen across Canada. He was a member of 2nd St. John s Lutheran Church, Wartburg.
