Bonnie Richardson
Mrs. Bonnie Lee Richardson, age 60, of RR 1 St. Pauls passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, February 10, 2004. Born in Stratford, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Ehgoetz and the former Lottie Densmore. In her earlier years she had worked at Perth Insurance and Standard Products and has always worked with her husband Ron on the family farm in the Gore of Downie since their marriage on November 20, 1964. She was a member of Central United Church, the Downie Community Club, a member and past president of the Stratford Horticultural Society, an associate director of the ladies division of the Stratford and District Agricultural Society and she was the first lady president of the Stratford and District Agricultural Society in 152 years. Beloved wife of W. Ronald Richardson. Loving mother of Kimberly (Kim) Richardson (Dave Johns), Stratford and Lisa McClelland (John), RR 1 St. Pauls. Cherished grandmother of Tanner Addison Johns and Scott Andrew McClelland. Twin sister of William Ehgoetz and wife Irene, RR 4 Stratford. Also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Bob and Cathy Richardson, Ross and Karolyn Richardson, Reta and Ken Huether, Raymond and Barb Richardson and Reg and Carol Richardson and many nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters-in- law Judy Richardson, Delphine Richardson and Gayle Richardson. Friends and relatives may call at Central United Church on Wednesday, February 11, 2004 from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Central United Church on Friday at 1 p.m. Rev. Cheryl-Ann Stadelbauer-Sampa will officiate. Interment will follow in Avondale cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Stratford Horticultural Society (Bonnie Richardson Memorial Garden), to Ovarian Cancer or to the Palliative Care Unit of the Stratford General Hospital through the W.G. James Lawson
James Farnell Lawson, of 66 Princess Street, Stratford passed away at the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, December 28, 2000, in his 81st year. A public memorial service will be held at the Heinbuck Funeral Home, 156 Albert Street, Stratford on Saturday, January 6, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Cheryl-Ann Stadelbauer-Sampa of Central United Church will officiate. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one s choice through the funeral home. Robert (Bob) Gropp
Robert (Bob) Brian Gropp, age 54, passed away in Stratford on Monday June 11, 2001. He was born in Milverton, son of Lenore (Schauber) Meyers of Stratford and the late Elmer Gropp. He lived in Milverton until 1979 when he moved to Stratford. He was a former employee at Electrohome Industries, Milverton and Allied Signal (Honeywell), Stratford. He had been an active member of the Milverton 4 Wheel Drive hockey team. He is survived by his mother Lenore Meyers, his wife Donna Gropp, sister Cathy Thuell and husband Bill, Stratford, brothers Jim Gropp and friend Lucy, Mildmay, Ken Gropp and friend Lynn, Milverton, Doug Gropp and friend Penny, Stratford, Ron Gropp and wife Phyllis, Wellesley. Also surviving are several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their families. He was predeceased by his daughter Tabitha, his father Elmer and a sister Marilyn. Services and burial for Bob are private. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Mental Health Association and can be made through the W.G. Florence Diehl
Florence Juliana Marie Diehl, 95, of Tavistock and formerly of Hamilton passed away in the People Care Health Care Centre, Tavistock on Thursday, November 8, 2001. She was born in Tavistock on July 30, 1906 a daughter of the late Adam and Annie (Yausie) Diehl. Florence was a receptionist at Tait-Gibson Optometrists in Hamilton for 29 years. She is survived by her nephew, Donald Diehl, of Woodstock; greatnephews, Douglas, Jim and David Diehl and several cousins. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Clarence and Martha Diehl; her niece, Jean Finch in 1974 and by her great-nephew Robert Diehl in 1980. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street, North, Tavistock on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Trinity Lutheran Church, Sebastopol-Tavistock on Saturday, November 10, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Trinity Lutheran cemetery. James McCaffery
James McCaffery, a resident of Spruce Lodge, 643 West Gore Street, Stratford and formerly of 136 Douro Street, Stratford, passed away at the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, January 3, 2002 in his 90th year. Born at Hamilton, Scotland he was a son of the late John Thomas McCaffery and Agnes (Potter) McCaffery. He had been a resident of Stratford since 1941 and was a car inspector with CNR for 25 years and was later employed with the Stratford General Hospital until retiring in 1977. James was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Kilroy Council. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Peggy) Harrison on December 3, 1991. Dear father of John and wife Pat of 136 Douro Street, Hugh and wife Mary of 118 Waddell Street, Michael of 90 Gordon Street, Jim of 230 Albert Street, Mary Ellen McKone and husband Keith of 37 Abbey Court, Monica Kropf and husband Stephen of 129 Elizabeth Street and Agnes McCaffery of London. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one brother Alex McCaffery and wife Joan of Etobicoke, three sisters Agnes Hasted of Toronto, Betty Boshier and husband Stan of Aurora and Mary Gillis of Newmarket, and several nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by two daughters in infancy and sisters Kate Anderson and Ellen Murphy. Mrs. Bernice Marguerite Hopf, age 84, of Greenwood Court, Stratford and formerly of 622 Ontario Street, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, May 30, 2002. She was born in Stratford, November 20, 1917, a daughter of the late Walter Reinhart and the former Anna Dopp. She was a member of St. Joseph s Roman Catholic Church, Stratford. Predeceased by her husband Gerald Hopf on May 14, 1982. Loving mother of Joan and husband John Vollmer, Patricia Martin, all of Windsor and Judith Hopf and companion David Bradshaw, Stratford. Loving grandmother of Diane and husband Dean Doster, Steven Vollmer and wife Nori, Brad Vollmer and wife Darlene, Cathy Martin-Cardinal and husband Jeff, David Martin and wife Ana, all of Windsor and Eric Hopf, Stratford. Helen Jean Hall-Wood (nee Mackey) in her 94th year passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Mitchell Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 23, 2002. Formerly of Toronto, she was an Elder at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Hartley Hall-Wood (1959). Dear mother of Susan and her husband Barry Monasmith of Cowley, Alberta and Jay Hall-Wood and her husband Robb Beavis of Mitchell; loving grand- mother of Jordan Pratt and his wife Nobuko of Calgary, Tracy Pratt of Calgary and Nick Hall-Wood of Mitchell; great grandmother of Maisy Pratt of Calgary. Douglas Fischer
Mr. Douglas Louis Fischer, 75, of Spruce Lodge, Stratford passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, December 12, 2002. He was born at Lot 19, Concession 8 of Ellice Township and lived on the home farm where he worked in small engine repairs and maintenance until coming to Stratford in 1982. While living in Stratford Doug learned the art of weaving and his work can be seen across Canada. He was a member of 2nd St. John s Lutheran Church, Wartburg. Loving brother of Irene Wilker and Myrtle Judge and her husband Robert, all of Stratford. Dear uncle of Fred and Carol Judge, Bill and Marg Fischer, Ross and Joan Wilker, Dianne and Wayne Lindner, Wendy and Wayne Wharran, Sandy Fischer and their families. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Earl Fischer and his wife Peg, by a brother in infancy, by a nephew and god son Norman Fischer and a brother-in-law Victor Wilker.
