Jack McClure
John Edward (Jack) McClure died at Stratford General Hospital on February 13, 2003 in his 67th year. Born in Troy, New York he was the son of the late Ralph Burns McClure and Hazel (Brownell) McClure. Survived by his brother Ralph McClure (MaryAnne); nephew Ralph Jr. and niece Gilda McClure. Jack was recognized by many as a kind soul. He found great pleasure in tennis, badminton and painting. Kay Strathdee
Mrs. Mary Kathleen Strathdee, age 78, of 90 Greenwood Drive, Stratford and formerly of Devon Street, died peacefully at the University Hospital, London on Thursday, July 3, 2003. Born in Hibbert Township, daughter of the late Lloyd and Elsie (Parsons) Colquhoun. Kay and her husband farmed in Downie Township until 1979 when they came to Stratford. Kay had been employed at the K-Mart Pharmacy for 15 years and she was a long standing, active member at Parkview United Church, Stratford. Kay and her husband enjoyed many bus tours together, meeting many new friends on their travels. Beloved wife of 59 years of Elwood Strathdee. Loving mother of Gordon and wife Linda Strathdee of St. Marys, Glenn and wife Lynda Strathdee of Georgetown, Paul Strathdee and wife Teresa Coulthard of Stratford. Dear grand- mother of Lisa and husband Dennis Kane of Stratford, Charlotte and fiance Shahn Skanes, Philip Strathdee and Ashley Garton, all of Georgetown. Also survived by brothers-in- law and sisters-in-law Marion Colquhoun of Mitchell, Betty Strathdee of Mitchell, Alden and Mary Strathdee, Ron and Wilhelmina Strathdee, Joyce and John McKay, Earl and Helen Strathdee, all of Stratford and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by a brother Hugh (Fred) Colquhoun, a sister Doris Colquhoun, brothers-in- law Bill and his wife Alice Strathdee and Lionel Strathdee. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Sunday, July 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. Judith Ritchie will officiate. Norma Flach
Mrs. Norma Emily Flach, 82, a resident of Hillside Manor and formerly of RR 5 Stratford passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, December 4, 2003. Beloved wife for 63 years of Kenneth Flach of RR 5 Stratford. Dear mother of David Flach and wife Joan of Houston, Texas and William Flach and wife Ruth Ann of RR 5 Stratford; loving grandmother of Ron Flach (Jennifer), Lorne Flach (Lorena) and Marty Flach and of step-grandchildren Heather Burge, Jim Brennan and Jennifer Willis. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren. Dear sister of Doreen Yarrow of Winnipeg, Mae Mogk and husband Harvey of Milverton, Laura Ferch and husband Jack of Alberta, Ken Illman and wife Anna Mae of Williamsford, Ted Illman and wife Ellen of Mitchell and Morley Illman and wife Betty of Sundridge; dear sister-in-law of Russell Flach and wife Celone of Mitchell. Norma was a member of First St. John s Lutheran Church, Seebach s Hill and the Ladies Guild of the church. Doris O Hara
Mrs. Doris Evelyn O Hara, age 77, a resident of People Care, Stratford and formerly of Mowat Street passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, June 14, 2001. She was born in Blanchard Township, daughter of the late David Kemp and the former Amelia Ross. She had been involved in the Girl Guides of Canada for many years and she will always be remembered as an avid bingo player. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick Donald O Hara who predeceased her in 1972. Loving mother of Evelyn (Evy Lou) and husband Alexander Bell of Burlington and Edward O Hara of Stratford. Dear grandmother of Bryant, Valerie and Michael Bell. Also survived by her sister Edna Murray of St. Marys. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her son Rick O Hara in 1976 and her brother Ross Kemp. Cremation. Visitation will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Monday, June 18 from 12:30 until the time of the memorial service at 1:30 p.m. Interment in St. Marys cemetery.
