It is with great sadness of heart that we announce the passing of Irene on Thursday, May 1, 2008. At the age of 73, Irene has lost her courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Reg, her children Danny, Debbie, Reg Jr., Deanna (Steve), Roxanne (Denis) and her brother Stan (Doreen). Loving grandmother of 5. Irene will always be remembered for her love of life, her special care of animals, her energy and courage. The family will receive friends at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, May 5, 2008 from 6 - 9 pm. Funeral service will be from the chapel on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 11 am. Rev. Tom Gurnick officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Humane Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated. Passed peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2008 in her 89th year at the Tendercare Nursing Home to be reunited with her husband the late Harry Blades (1991). Cherished mother of Ken (Franca), Nancy Grant, Sue Key (Bob), Norman (Liz) and Bev Burlington (Garry). Loving grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 17. Sister of Grace McConachie (late Harold) and the late Helen Gamble (late John). Sister-in-law to the late Vi Edwards, Lil McDonald, (late) Irene Thompson, Betty Baker, Margaret Jackson. A memorial service to be held at Delmoro Funeral Home in Toronto on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Peacefully, surrounded by his family at Algoma Manor, Thessalon on Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Ted Clinton, formerly of Wharncliffe, in his 89th year, husband of the late Edith Clinton. Loving father of Debbie Dunn (Kevin) of Thunder Bay, Ted Jr. (Lisa), Linda Berry (Randy and the late Jim) and Rick (Connie) all of Wharncliffe. Special grandfather to Curtis, Christopher, Craig, Brittany, Carli, Jay, Rob, Matt, Zeb and Luke and great grandfather to 10 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Ed of Thessalon, Fred of Wharncliffe and the late Arthur, Kip, Jim and Roy. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
