Mrs. Norma Alberta McNamee
November 16, 1923 - July 20, 2007

McNamee, Norma Alberta (nee Whitcomb) at the Bridge Street Retirement Residence on Friday July 20, 2007 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late James Vincent McNamee. Loving mother of James W. McNamee (Fran) of Ottawa, Joanne McManus of B.C. Loved by her grandson Zachary of B.C. Daughter of the late Wilfred and Henrietta Whitcomb. Dear sister of Isobel Stewart and husband Stu. Predeceased by brother Kenneth Whitcomb, and sister Frieda Parks. Friends are invited to call at the BURKE FUNERAL HOME (613 968-6968) 150 Church St., Belleville on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday July 23, 2007 at 11:00 a.m at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church 399 Victoria Ave., Belleville. Interment St. Bridget's Catholic Church Cemetery, Stanleyville, Ontario on Tuesday July 24, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.

Mr. Ronald Berdan
February 26, 1930 - July 19, 2007

Peacefully, after a lengthy fight with cancer, surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 19, 2007, Mr. Ronald Berdan of London, in his 78th year. Born February 26, 1930 he is the son of the late Edward and Beatrice Berdan. Beloved husband of Elsie (nee Cabie). Loving father of John (Tina), Nancy Dye (Michael), Judi Groeneweg (Jim) and Lorie Woodfield (Chad). Dear grandfather of Travis, Nicole, Eric, Leah (Stephen), Jamie, Jacob, Julie, Lukas, Ethan, Tracy (Anthony) and Trevor. He will be missed by his great grandchildren Becca, Madilyn and Alissa. Survived by his brothers Fred (Margaret), Wilfred (Margaret), Don (Maizie) and Dick (Jane) and by his sister Alta. Also surviving are his sister-in-law Freda, Ethel, Jean (Ron), and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Phyllis (1997) and Freida (2006). Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 2001 Dundas Street East (at Wavell) on Sunday, July 22, 2007 from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to London Regional Cancer Center greatly appreciated. Ronald's family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to staff of the London Regional Cancer Center and to the staff in the Critical Care Trauma Unit at LHSC. Special thank you to Dr. Muriel Brackstone and attending nurses.

Mr. James Bernard Lachine
April 21, 1916 - July 20, 2007

LACHINE, James Bernard, a lifelong resident of Chatham passed away Friday July 20, 2007 in his 92nd year. Son of the late William and Minnie Lachine. Husband of the late Dorothy Lachine (nee Lozon). Father of Shirley Dick and her husband Homer. Grandfather of James, Dick and Jill, Shaun Dick and Yvonne. Great grandfather of Matthew, Jamie, Shane and Sarah. Also survived by sisters Dorothy O'Rourke and Pat Luyt, brothers Stanley and Karl of Chatham and Harold of London. Predeceased by sisters Betty, Madeline and Ruth, brothers William, Reginald, Donald and Robert. Jim was an owner operator of the CPR Hotel Restaurant, The Green Door Restaurant and Lachine's Billiards on the market. The family will recieve guests Sunday July 22, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Ave., (519-352-2390). A funeral service be held Monday July 23, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment to follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the Alzheimer's Society or the Diabetes Association.

passed away peacefully on July 19, 2007 at the Leamington District Memorial Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Alexander & Parmelia Chapron. Loving sister of Theresa Palmer (Deane) of Leamington & June Trembley (Leonard) of Windsor. Dear aunt of Connie Dresser (Richard), Ronald Taveirne, Christine Clement (Tony), Carol Turner (Bob), Cheryl Taveirne & Ken Neal, Wayne Trembley (Christine), Michelle Kern (Gary), Joe Palmer (Rosemary) & Ron Palmer. Dear great Aunt "Annie" of Jenna & Ashley Dresser, Micheal & Tracy Taveirne, Greg & Brian (Angie) Clement, Stacy Donnelly, Leanne Donnelly, Mark & Elizabeth Turner, Deanna Pimintel, Krystle & Tiffany Trembley, Michael & Adam Thrasher, Jennifer & Kyle Palmer, Harley & Brittany Palmer. Great great aunt of Hunter, Evan, Cody, Dalton, Ciara, Cayden and Aiden. Helen will missed dearly by all her family, friends and travel buddies. She was such a fun loving and proud supporter to all of us. She loved sports and will still give her teams HE-- ! Helen was a proud employee of Hiram Walker & Sons. Visitation at the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830) on Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday July 23, 2007 at the St. John Vianney Church, 385 Dieppe Street, Windsor after 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Tony DelCiancio will be the celebrant. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Donations to the Windsor Regional Cancer Center would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Helen Chapron in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 30, 2007. All are welcome. Y

passed away peacefully at Peel Memorial Hospital on July 19, 2007 at the age of 72. Son of the late Richard and Edith McComb of Owen Sound. Predeceased by his partner Norma Fraser. Dear father of Brian and his wife Harriet, Barbara and Bradley. Grandfather of Brandon and Rachel. Private family services will be held at a later date in his memory. CAROL, Laura Edith (nee Fraser) - Suddenly on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at N.H.S. General site in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her husband Phillip (1956). Loving mother of Priscilla Heus (the late Gerrit Heus). Loving grandmother of Debbie Shelley (Kevin), Jeannie Heus, Stephen Heus (Kitty), Philip Heus, and Brian Heus (Roxy). Laura will be missed by her 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Survived by her brother Bob Fraser (Marge) and predeceased by many siblings. Laura was a life-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #24 and was a former employee of Abitibi Paper Mill, Thorold. Friends will be received at the PATRICK J. DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL (39 Court St., St. Catharines 905-685-6584) on Sunday, July 22, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place on Monday, July 23, 2007 at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Victoria lawn Cemetery (Queenston St.). SHINER, NORMA IRENE EDITH: passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at the NHS - St. Catharines General Site in her 82nd year. Born in Wales on May 8, 1926. Beloved wife of the late George Shiner (April 2006). Loving mother of Tay (Eric), Teri (John) Haeni and the late Richard (1990). Adoptive mother to Jill (Bill) Wolchuk. Cherished grandmother to Rhianna, Jessica, Sarah, and Alex. Loved sister to Florence, Betty, Dilys, Pat (Dennis), sister-in-law to Gwyneth (Dick) and many nieces and nephews all in South Wales. Dear aunt to Deb (Matt), Clair, Mark (Shirley), Gareth and Lee, all of Fort Erie. Special thanks to Dr. S. Pallie, Laurie (APN for the NHS), ER, ICU and Palliative Staff for all their care and compassion. Norma was a member of St. Columba Church for 40 years and a recipient of the Order of Niagara for her charitable work in the church and in the community.

A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Norma Shiner will take place on at Ina Grafton Gage Village, 413 Linwell Road, St. Catharines on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place and a private family inurnment will take place on Monday. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Catharines General Hospital Future Regional Cancer Centre or the Hotel Dieu-Shaver Hospital Healing Garden would be appreciated by the family.

Jerry Uhrig formerly of Armour Rd., Peterborough in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Grace (Aiton). Dear father of Harry (Beverley) of Burlington and David Uhrig of Peterborough. Loving grandfather of Leslie and Kelly. Brother of Elizabeth Band of Loretto, Ontario. Private family arrangements have been entrusted to the NISBETT FUNERAL HOME, 600 Monaghan Rd. S. Cherished grandfather of Laura, Lisa, Colin, Ben, Cole, Jessica, Emily, Griffin, Caë leb, Maya Grace, Kianna, Will, and great-grandfather of Sean, Eric, Gabriella, and Wyatt. Norm will be sadly missed by brother Murray Rankin and his wife Wanda, his many, many friends, neighbors, and extended family. passed away peacefully on Sunday August 12, 2007 in her 90th year. Beloved wife to Wesley. Caring mother to Stephen and his wife April, Susan, Richard and his wife Rulla. Will be missed by her grandchildren Wesley, Melissa, Aynslie, and Layton.
