Mr. Jacinto do Couto
March 24, 1917 - July 29, 2007

passed away peacefully on July 29, 2007 at Helen Henderson at the age of 90 years. Cherished father to Manuel de Couto, Maria-Connie, Terry, grandchildren Dwayne, Jennifer, Tanya, Christopher, Corey, Kimberley, and great-grandchildren Eric, Cheyenne, Olivia, Kaleb. Survived by his sister Angelina and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Rita (2001) and 2 brother and 2 sisters.

Friends and family will be received at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home - Township Chapel 435 Davis Drive Kingston, (Taylor Kidd Blvd. & Centennial Drive) on Tuesday July 31, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday August 1, 2007 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church 588 Division St. Kingston. Rite of committal with prayers to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

November 27, 1933 - July 25, 2007

passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, July 25, 2007 of cancer with his loving family at his side at 74 years of age. Loving husband of Helen, loving father of Laurel and Tracy (Gordy). Leaving behind 2 Godsons, Robert Panchuk (Kristina) and Ken Antoniuk and his namesake "Little Alex Panchuk". Dear brother of Shirley (Steve) Sherman. Predeceased by his mother Annie Panchuk (Zilkowski) and his half sisters Mary and Helen. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Alex will also be sadly missed by his 4-legged friend Lucy. Visiting at the Morris Sutton Funeral Home, 68 Giles Blvd. E. 519-254-8633 on Friday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. A private service will take place in the chapel at a later date. Donations may be made to the Windsor and Essex County Humane Society.

GARRY, Elizabeth (Betty Anne)

Suddenly on July 26th, 2007 at the age of 68. Betty Anne will be missed by her mother Elizabeth Anderson. Loving mother of Thomas Girard and his wife Sandra and Deborah Carter. Predeceased by her son David Clingan (1999). Survived by her daughter-in-law Carol Clingan. Dear grandmother of Shannon Carter, Monique Clingan, Cole Clingan and Thomas Girard. Cherished great grandmother of Aaron, Kendra and Dante. Sister of Patricia Last and her husband Robert of London. Nieces and great nephew Rebecca and her husband Ernest, Kim and her husband Larry and Jay. Visitation at Morris Sutton Funeral Home, 68 Giles Blvd. E. 519-254-8633, Friday, July 27th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. with a chapel service on Saturday at 1 p.m. Rev. Murray Steacy officiating. Entered into rest at the Villa Care Centre with his family by his side on Wednesday July 25, 2007 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Audrey (nee MacDonald) Dear father of Sharon Snider (Bud), Lynn Hebner (Gary), Barbara Garraway (Bob), Brenda Desroches, Larry LaBrash (Kim), Nancy Williams (Jim), Judy Dibb (Mark), and Susan Crow (Terry). He will be sadly missed by his 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Brother of June Hamelin (Alcime), Betty, the late Dan and Emery LaBrash, and Theresa Wilson. Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Mary LaBrash. Resting at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Avenue, Midland on Friday July 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret's Church, Midland on Saturday July 28th at 11 a.m. Interment at St. Margaret's Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

REID, LOUIS AYLMER "Lou" (Longtime employee of Northern Telecom) Peacefully, at the QHC-Trenton Memorial Hospital on Thursday, July 26, 2007, in his 77th year. Loving father of Sandra (Edward) Golden, Tracee (Lloyd) Brenay, Debbie McHale and Karen (Greg Tucker) Dowdall. Dear brother of Ruth (Bob) Hermer and the late Jim Reid and Marion McAra. Dear Grampa Lou of Janet, Brian, Nathan, Stephanie, Brandon, Ryan, Lisa and Eric and Great Grampa to Matthew. Predeceased by Marion. Sadly missed by his nieces and friends. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Burke Funeral Home (968-6968) 150 Church Street Belleville on Monday, July 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to the War Amps or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

It is with much sadness that we announce that Rod passed away on July 24, 2007, in his 85th year, after a brief illness. Loving husband and cherished companion of Helen Klein (nee Blair). Dear brother of Nadia Mahoney Ashkanase and brother-in-law of Ena Clyne. Very proud father of four children who he admired and loved with all his heart: Leslie (Rick Coates), Steve (Cathy Ryan), Randy (Deborah Grieve) and Robin. Generous and caring Grampa to six grandchildren: Kelly, Richard, Nikki, Alex, Caitlin and Jennifer. Rod joined the Hussars in 1939 and served Canada with distinction until 1945. A Belleville resident since 1978, he was the much respected Operating Superintendent of Sears in Quinte Mall until retirement. Member of the Belleville Bridge Club, Harbour Club, Oak Hills Golf Club and Belleville Sagonaska Club.

Visitation at Burke Funeral Home, 150 Church Street Belleville on Monday, July 30th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Memorial Service celebrating Rod’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 31s at Bridge Street United Church, 60 Bridge Street, Belleville. Special thanks to Dr. Lisowski and the staff on Quinte 5 for their wonderful care. Donations in Rod’s memory can be made to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation-Palliative Care, or to The Juno Beach Centre (www.junobeach.org)

passed away peacefully at the Scarborough Grace Hospital on Saturday, July 21, 2007. Marie will be dearly missed by her loving partner Maitland Browne. Loved sister of June and brother Michael. Dear aunt of Jillian, Allison and Marnie. Cherished niece of Lilly. Marie will also be dearly remembered by her friends, aunts, uncles, and their immediate families. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Toronto Necropolis Cemetery, 200 Winchester Street, Toronto. Interment to follow service. Peacefully, on Monday July 23, 2007, at the Kingston General Hospital, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Lawrence "Lorne, " of 53 years. Loving mother of Brian (Joyce), Kerry (Kelly), Kim (Steve) Dailey, Blair (Lola). Cherished grandmother of Amy (Steve) Kiley, Randy (Julie), Craig, Stefanie, Brandon, Ryan, Jayme, Kyle. Great grandmother of Aidan. Survived by her sister Barbara Ann (Tom) Osborne, predeceased by her parents Pansy and John Kidd and brother John Kidd Jr. and sister Joan Grice. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Central Chapel of Gordon F. Tompkins, 49 Colborne Street (at Clergy Street) on Wednesday July 25, 2007 between the hours of 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.

A Private Service to be held In Our Chapel on Thursday July 26, 2007.

Interment at a later date.
