Mr. Carl John Hopkins
January 15, 1962 - August 19, 2007

Suddenly at his home in Brampton on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at the age of 45 years. Carl, beloved son of John Hopkins and his wife Evelyn and of his late mother Doreen (nee Rae). Loving husband of Suzanne (nee Abel) and father of Lauren and Matthew. Dear brother of Donna (Gary), Brenda (Kirk), and Heather, all of Brampton and Shane of Calgary. Carl will be greatly missed by many relatives and friends. Visitation at the SCOTT FUNERAL HOME 289 Main St. North "Brampton Chapel" on Friday August 24, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, in the Chapel at 10 a.m. Cremation. In memory of Carl, donations to the Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated.

Mrs. Linda Anne Jackson (nee Symons)
May 13, 1954 - August 21, 2007

Aged 53 years. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Linda has passed away into eternity peacefully on August 21, 2007. Beloved wife of 35 years to Terence. Cherished mother of Jennifer and husband Jason Durocher and Heather and precious granddaughter Madelyne. Dearly loved daughter of Anne and the late Earl Symons. Sister of Brenda Symons and Jeff and Nancy Symons. Sister-in-law of Sandra (Jackson) and John Barker. Linda has a large extended family and many, many friends. Visitation will be held at LIGHTHOUSE BAPTIST CHURCH, 266 King St., Amherstburg beginning Thursday, August 23 from 7-9 p.m.; Friday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m., and on Saturday, August 25, 2007 from 9 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Pastor Tim Jupp officiating. A tree will be planted in memory of Linda in the Sutton Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on Sept. 30, 2007. All are welcome. Arrangements entrusted to the James H. Sutton Funeral Home.

Matthew Henry William Bates
July 8, 2007 - August 21, 2007

In Loving memory of our little Bright Eyes who will shine in our hearts forever till we meet again.
BATES, Matthew Henry William passed away Tuesday August 21, 2007 at 6 weeks of age. Son of Felicia Verkaik and Ross Bates. Baby brother of Shawn and John. Grandson of Richard and Louella Wellington, John and Jennifer Verkaik, Joyce and Daniel Mattheus and Tasha Verkaik, Jim Chalcraft and the late Donald Bates. Nephew of Kenneth and Crystal Verkaik-Wellington, Natasha Verkaik-Wellington, Justin Druer, Carissa Verkaik, Melissa Verkaik, David Bates, Richard Mattheus and the late Nathan Mattheus. Also survived by many great aunts, uncles, cousins and great grandparents. The family will receive visitors Friday August 24, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Ave., (519-352-2390). A funeral service will take place Saturday August 25, 2007 at 11:00 am from Praise Fellowship Church (165 Park Ave East). Interment to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery.

(1 block W. of Cawthra Rd.), Mississauga. Funeral Mass will be on Thurday August 23rd at 11am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2340 Hurontario St., Mississauga. Burial to take place in St. John's Dixie Cemetery, 737 Dundas St. E., Mississauga.

Mr. Hen Wah Chang
July 20, 1923 - August 19, 2007

CHANG, Hen-Wah – passed away peacefully on August 19, 2007, in his 84th year, surrounded by his family at Scarborough Grace Hospital. Beloved husband of Shew Lan (nee Wong). Dear father of the late Peter Chang & Christina Law, late daughter-in-law Cherry Chang, Carol & Richard Hoo, June & Phillip Ngui, Shirley & Barry Chung, Janet & Ian Chin. Loving grandfather of Kevin, Alison, Perry (Joan), Doris (Dave), Maurice (Leigh), Charmaine, Jonathan, Alex, Andrea, Nicholas, Greg, Amanda, Bradley, Karina and 6 great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Family & friends may call at the Highland Funeral Home, Markham Chapel, 10 Cachet Woods Court (16th Ave, east of Hwy 404) . Visitation will be held at 6-9 pm on Friday, August 24th and Funeral Mass will be held at Epiphany of Our Lord Parish 3200 Pharmacy Ave (North of Finch Ave), Scarborough on Saturday, August 25th, 2007 at 10:00 am followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Scarborough Grace Hospital or Tsung Tsin Association.The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Finkelstein and the ICU staff at Scarborough Grace Hospital.

Graham Charles RAFUSE
August 7, 1932 - August 21, 2007

Graham Charles Rafuse, age 75, of Brooklyn, Hants County, passed away on Tuesday, August 21st, 2007, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor.
Born on August 7th, 1932, in Upper Vaughan, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was the youngest son of the late Charles and Ethel (Reece) Rafuse.
Graham graduated from Kay Anslow's School of Business, Windsor. He was employed as an accountant at R. D. Holmes, Windsor, for 25 years, and then at the Canadian Tire Store, Bedford, for 17 years. He enjoyed his cats, and kept active with square dancing and gardening. He was a member of the Upper Vaughan Baptist Church.
Graham is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Helen Sweet "Honey" Watson; also surviving are his brothers, Herman (Doris) Rafuse, Lower Vaughan; James "Jim" (Marion) Rafuse, Chester Basin; sisters, Frances (Armstrong) Manzer, Windsor; Jennie Rafuse, Upper Vaughan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Marguerite "Marg" Church (1994); and a sister in infancy, Myrna Ellen Mary Rafuse (1945); brother, Elmer "Bud" Rafuse (1987); sister-in-law, Lillian Rafuse (1993); brothers-in-law, Donald Armstrong (1966); Samuel Rafuse (1993); Lawson Church (2004); Bernard Manzer (2004); and several nieces and nephews.
Visitations will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, August 23rd, in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 24th, 2007, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Darryl Dykens and the Rev. E. E. Hill officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Upper Vaughan.
Donations in memory of Graham, may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Mrs. Dorothy Mabel Purdey (nee: GRAHAM)
March 9, 1920 - August 19, 2007

passed away at the Belleville General Hospital on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at age 87.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas Purdey. Loving mother of Coleen Purdey-Morrison (Dave) of Belleville and Ted Hutton (Joan) of Lindsay. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jeff, Steve, Lisa, Leticia, Tavis and Tara, her many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Memorial Service will be held in the Mackey Funeral Home, Lindsay on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
