Joseph “Joe” Horace Fitzgerald, age 50, of St. Croix, Hants County, passed away on Sunday, September 2nd, 2007, at home.
Born on September 12th, 1956, in Wolfville, Kings County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Francis & Viola (Parker) Fitzgerald.
Joe worked as a carpenter for several years. He was involved in a lot of sports and enjoyed playing crib & other card games. He was a wonderful husband, loving brother, friend, and will be missed by all.
Surviving are his loving wife, the former Kathy (Holm) Fitzgerald; son, Joey Spencer, Medicine Hat, Alberta; step-son, Larry Pulsifer, Coldbrook; step-daughters, Angel Holm, Ohio; Auberta Prehoda, Ohio; step-grandchildren, Shianne, Ian, and Allison Prehoda; brothers, Blaine (Diane) Fitzgerald, Ardoise; Glen (Linda) Fitzgerald, Three Mile Plains; Bruce (Denise) Fitzgerald, Hantsport; Jim (Susan) Fitzgerald, Dartmouth; Bob (Carole) Fitzgerald, Moncton, NB; sisters, Faye Canning, Gays River; Rita Rockwell, Brooklyn; Sherral (Bill) Bowman, Garlands Crossing; Debbie (Reid) Swinamer, Three Mile Plains; many nieces and nephews; his best four legged friend, Blackie.

RODERICK CECIL McARTHUR (aka RORY or MAC) WWII Veteran of the Toronto Scottish Regiment and member of the T.S.R. Association. passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 in his 88th year, at Scarborough Grace Hospital. He is survived by his wife Rosemary, daughters Kate Knox and Gail Dawson, sons Glenn and Ross McArthur, nephew Gordon Lillie and grandchildren Brendan and James Keith, Daniel and Jeremy McArthur, Alex Dawson and Hannah McArthur. The McArthur Family invite friends to a memorial service at Highland Funeral Homes, 3280 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough, on Saturday, September 15th at 11:00 a.m. with one hour visitation prior to the service.
