Mr. Ian Emanuel Munroe
September 2, 2007

passed away peacefully at Toronto General Hospital, Toronto on Sunday, September 2, 2007. Age 63. Dear husband of Berea. Loving father of Jean-Pierre and Monique. Ian will also be missed by several siblings, other family members and friends here in Canada and in Trinidad and Tobago. Family will receive friends at Christie Baptist Church 177 Christie St. Toronto (between Dupont and Bloor) on Saturday September 8, 2007 at 9am. A funeral service will follow in the church at 10am. Interment in Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens 3164 Ninth Line Oakville. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Scott Funeral Home Mississauga Chapel

Joseph "Joe" Horace FITZGERALD
September 12, 1956 - September 2, 2007

Joseph “Joe” Horace Fitzgerald, age 50, of St. Croix, Hants County, passed away on Sunday, September 2nd, 2007, at home.
Born on September 12th, 1956, in Wolfville, Kings County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Francis & Viola (Parker) Fitzgerald.
Joe worked as a carpenter for several years. He was involved in a lot of sports and enjoyed playing crib & other card games. He was a wonderful husband, loving brother, friend, and will be missed by all.
Surviving are his loving wife, the former Kathy (Holm) Fitzgerald; son, Joey Spencer, Medicine Hat, Alberta; step-son, Larry Pulsifer, Coldbrook; step-daughters, Angel Holm, Ohio; Auberta Prehoda, Ohio; step-grandchildren, Shianne, Ian, and Allison Prehoda; brothers, Blaine (Diane) Fitzgerald, Ardoise; Glen (Linda) Fitzgerald, Three Mile Plains; Bruce (Denise) Fitzgerald, Hantsport; Jim (Susan) Fitzgerald, Dartmouth; Bob (Carole) Fitzgerald, Moncton, NB; sisters, Faye Canning, Gays River; Rita Rockwell, Brooklyn; Sherral (Bill) Bowman, Garlands Crossing; Debbie (Reid) Swinamer, Three Mile Plains; many nieces and nephews; his best four legged friend, Blackie.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, September 4th, 2007, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 5th, 2007, in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Burial will be in the Ste. Croix Cemetery, St. Croix.
Donations in Joe's memory, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.

Mr. Roderick Cecil McArthur
November 29, 1919 - September 5, 2007

RODERICK CECIL McARTHUR (aka RORY or MAC) WWII Veteran of the Toronto Scottish Regiment and member of the T.S.R. Association. passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 in his 88th year, at Scarborough Grace Hospital. He is survived by his wife Rosemary, daughters Kate Knox and Gail Dawson, sons Glenn and Ross McArthur, nephew Gordon Lillie and grandchildren Brendan and James Keith, Daniel and Jeremy McArthur, Alex Dawson and Hannah McArthur. The McArthur Family invite friends to a memorial service at Highland Funeral Homes, 3280 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough, on Saturday, September 15th at 11:00 a.m. with one hour visitation prior to the service. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Toronto Scottish Association, and will be greatly appreciated by the family.

April 2, 1926 - September 5, 2007

Suddenly at his home on Wednesday, September 5, 2007. Hans Peter Knudsen of Hamilton, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Doris (nee McCloskey). Loving father of Hans Erik and Sue, Monica and Gary, Vincent and Elena, Michael and Krista and Soren and Cat. Dear grandpa of Laurie and Paul, Erik and Debbie, Carl, David and Stacey, Mark, Rowan and Keira. Dear great-grandpa of Robbie, Haley and Charlotte. Dear father-in-law of Vivian and brother of Soren and Else, Karl and Ruth and Kristine and Neils. Predeceased by parents Peder and Cesilie, brothers Gerluf and Valter and great-grandson Matthew.
Mr. Knudsen is at the DODSWORTH and BROWN Funeral Home "ROBINSON CHAPEL" (King Street East at Wellington), Hamilton where the family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service from the Chapel on Monday, September 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Hamilton. If so desired, remembrances to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

PIPERNI, HAZEL FREDERIKA - Peacefully, at the Kingston General Hospital, on Thursday, September 6th, 2007 at the age of 85. Beloved wife for 63 years of Mickey. Loving mother of Dan (Janice) of Belleville and Linda (Bart) Walsh of Read. Loving Granny of Kim (Dean) Powell, Jeff (Erica) Piperni and Ryan (Keilee) Walsh, and Great Granny of Mikayla and Ethan. Dear sister of Olive Chartres, Frank (Doris) Elkin and the late George and Charles Elkin. Daughter of the late George and Frederika Elkin. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A private family funeral will be held. Cremation, with Rite of Committal at St. James Cemetery with Father Mark Chochrek officiating.

PELTIER, Raymond a resident of Chatham passed away Friday, September 7, 2007 at Copper Terrace Long Term Care Facility in his 80th year. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn (Doreen) Peltier (2004). Father of Gary and wife Rhonda of Chatham, Linda and husband Ed Pratt of Merlin, David and wife Brenda of Bowmanville, Leslie and wife Kathy of Windsor and the late Pat Peltier. Cherished grandfather of 8 and great grandfather of 1. Also survived by several brothers and sisters. The family will receive visitors Monday September 10, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Ave., (519-352-2390). A funeral service will take place Tuesday September 11, 2007 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
