Annie Michele Hackstetter (nee Philip) - Born September 29, 1925, Madnapalli, Madras (Chennai) India. Albyn School Aberdeen, University of Edinburgh, M.A., Force Naval Francais Libre Official #1. Teacher, Le Caron School. Died, Huronia District Hospital Midland Ontario September 2, 2007, after a short battle with cancer accompanied by a stroke, age 81. Michele was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Karl Hackstetter in 2005 and her sister Mado Vigne (Jean) of Chateau-Thierry, France. Michele is survived by her sister Mary Philip of Midland Ontario and her brother Hugh Philip (Evelyn) of Aldergrove B.C. Also survived by her loving children Ricarda Beutler (Arthur), Denman Island B.C., Rene Hackstetter (Anne) Midland, Karl-Philip Hacksteller, North Bay and Ian Hackstetter of Balm Beach Ontario. Also survived by her loving grandchildren, Kirsten, Eric, Madeleine and William. Also lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Cecile Ouhmani, Marie Francoise, Wendy, Brenda and Neil. Michele will be missed by countless friends from North America, Europe, South Africa and Australia. A special thanks to Dr. Gardiner and Reverend Ruth Knapp for their kindness and assistance to Mum and the family. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark's Anglican Church in Midland on Saturday September 22nd at 2 p.m.
Mrs. Ila May "Eileen" Babcock (nee Houston)

passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Mom left us to rejoin Dad (Jim, the love of her life), who passed away in 1974. Mom will always be loved and missed by son Tim and Donna of Winnipeg, daughter Vicky and Bill Moreton of Ancaster and son Doug and Elizabeth, also of Ancaster. She also leaves behind seven wonderful grandchildren, Jennifer, Evan, Jordan, Jeremy, Jim, Hilary and Christie, that she dearly loved. Mom is also survived by brothers Jim and Doris Houston of Thamesville, Ralph and Donna Houston of Chatham and sister-in-law Helen Houston, also of Chatham. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law Andrew and Lita Houston, Boyd and Gladys Houston, Charlie Houston and sister Beatrice and husband Bernie Fleetham. Special thanks to all the nurses and home care providers from C.C.A.C. Bayshore and Paramed. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at DODSWORTH and BROWN Funeral Home, ANCASTER CHAPEL, 378 Wilson Street East on Thursday, September 6 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel Friday, September 7 at 1 p.m. Interment of cremated remains will be held at Greenhill Cemetery, Kingsville, Ontario on Saturday, September 8 at 11 a.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or C.C.A.C. would be appreciated by the family.

THOMAS, VINCENT - At the Port Colborne General Hospital on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of the late Muriel (July, 2007) for 56 years. Loving father of Michael (Betty Ann). He is predeceased by his son Brian (1968) and two sisters. Mr. Thomas was retired from the Board of Education with over 30 years service.

MacGILLIVRAY, FRANCIS EARL "Frank" - Suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, Frank died peacefully in his 84th year. He will be sorely missed by his beloved wife Vivian (Kelsey) of more than 65 years. He was the loving father of Francine (Richard) Arsenault of Perth Road Village and Father Jim MacGillivray of Ottawa, predeceased by his son Earl (1968). Cherished by his grandchildren David Arsenault, Kathleen Arsenault (Marc Lewis) and Jamie Arsenault (Heather Manoll). His loving great grandchildren Nathaniel, Allesha and Dawson Arsenault and Georgia Lewis will greatly miss Grandpa Mac. Dearest brother of June Emmons-Church of Kingston and Bruce MacGillivray (Eleanor) of Victoria B.C. and brother in law of Mary (Hutchison) MacGillivray and Joyce Kelsey (Art Ley), Lorne (Marjorie) Kelsey, Garry Kelsey (Debbie Baird ) and Murray (Linda) Kelsey. He was the sixth child of the late George and Jessie (Guthrie) MacGillivray and predeceased by Arden (Helen Connors), Ronald (Ella Church), Karl, John (Mary Hutchison), Florence (Clarence Lees), Helen (Jack Ritchie), Margaret (Raymond Nicholson) and Reita (Ray Quinlan) . Uncle Frank will be missed by 36 nieces and nephews and their families.
