Mr. George Ambrose Dineley
July 13, 1920 - September 12, 2007
George Dineley passed away Peacefully, after a brief illness, at the Kingston General Hospital with his wife Isabelle at his side, on Wednesday, September 12, 2007. Beloved husband for 65 years of Isabelle (Kelly). Loving father of James (Bonnie), the late Michael (1983), Patsy, Tony, Joe, Mary Ann and the late Gerard (1985).
Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 435 Davis Drive (Centennial Dr at Taylor Kidd Blvd) on Friday, September 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, Palace Road, on Saturday, September 15 at 1:30 p.m. Rite of Committal with prayers in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Mr. Franklin "Keith" Nevills
September 7, 1920 - September 12, 2007
NEVILLS, Franklin "Keith" - Son of Franklin and Mildred Nevills, passed away on September 12, 2007, at age 87. Keith was born in Dunnville, Ont., and lived there until the Second World War. He joined the R.C.A.F. before the war started, and served until it ended. He graduated as an Observer; this position was later known as Navigator-Bombardier. He flew 50 missions with 53 Squadron, R.A.F., and 37 with 407 Squadron, the Demons, R.C.A.F. He survived three crashes and discovered a fire aboard a B25 Mitchell as it was taking off. He was able to alert the pilot, who made one circle and landed. He and the crew escaped by dropping out the hatch onto the tarmac, as the burning plane sped along. Many flyers will remember all B25 Mitchells being grounded and having their exhaust systems altered. He was a graduate of the Ontario College of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto and spent his working life as a pharmacist. He married Anna Lane of Rhode Island, with whom he had two sons, Daniel (Joanne) and Douglas (Eva). Anna died just before their 50th anniversary. He later married Ruth Humphrey Doleman, his high school sweetheart. They had 12 happy years together. He leaves his wife; his two sons; stepdaughter, Joyce Carley-Skidd; grandchildren, Michael Nevills, Corinne McMullen, Vicki Barran, Barbara Nevills, Anna Owen, and 13 great-grandchildren. At Keith's request, cremation has taken place. Burial will be in Dunnville, Ont., at a later date.

McGILLIS, Gerald Eugene (Former owner of the McGillis Hotel, Peterborough) passed away at Northumberland Hills Health Centre, Cobourg, on Thursday September 13, 2007. Gerry McGillis of Gore's Landing, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Donna (Bristow). Dear father of Leslie of Gore's Landing and Ian (Janet) of Peterborough. Loving grandfather of Heather and Holly. Brother of the late Donald E. McGillis, and uncle to 9 nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law to Joan McGillis of Peterborough. Norman Langdon passed away peacefully in his 93rd year, at St. Joseph's Health Centre, on Thursday, September 13, 2007. We mourn and celebrate the passing of a remarkable husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A beloved husband and lifelong partner of his childhood sweetheart, the late Isabel (Chillman). Father to Scott and the late Tommy (Else) and Donna (Bob). Brother to Thersa, Margerite, Lorraine, Shirley, June, and brothers Willard and Earl. Grandfather to Lori, Jason, Kris, Michael and Katherine. Great-grandfather to Michelle, Sean, Ethan, Jayde, and Jewyl.
A pilot instructor in the Royal Canadian Air Force, and past Superintendent (Roncesvalles) of his beloved TTC, Tom will be missed, and celebrated, by family and friends for the many laughs and lessons we shared throughout his truly incredible life.
