Mr. Leon Francis DeCaire
April 26, 1942 - September 14, 2007

DeCaire, Leon F. - It is with great sadness that the family of Leon Francis DeCaire announce his sudden passing, on Friday, September 14, 2007. Leon is lovingly remembered by his wife Lorraine, his children Mark, Troy (Debbie) and Yvonne. Cherished grandfather of Megan. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and many dear friends. Leon was a celebrated member of the CPGA, and where he will be fondly remembered for his passion for the game of Golf. Family and friends may call at the HIGHLAND FUNERAL HOME - MARKHAM CHAPEL, 10 Cachet Woods Court (northeast corner of 16th Ave. and Hwy. 404), on Monday, September 17 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, September 18, from 2-4 and 6-7 p.m. with Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Private cremation. Memorial donations in Leon's name can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Mr. Trevor Maurice Acanne
April 15, 1944 - September 13, 2007

Trevor Maurice Acanne, 63 years, passed away on September 13, 2007 surrounded by his family at his home in Russell Woods. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Lally). Devoted and proud father of Drs. David and Steven and wife Dr. Suzanne. Loving grandfather to Lia Elizabeth. Dear brother of Maurice and wife Joan, of London; Dr. Jeanne Fistein (the late Dr. Boris). Dear brother-in-law of Kathleen and Chris Edwards; Theresa Lally and Simon Marche; Judy and Robert White; Janet and Steve Smith; Vincent and Tracy Lally and Jasmine James. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Visiting Sunday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh . Prayers Sunday at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral will be held on Monday, September 17, 2007 at 9:15 a.m, from the funeral home to St. Gregory the Great Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Daniel Bombardier will be the celebrant. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness, a donation to the Hospice of Windsor or to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Trevor in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held in the fall of 2008.

Mr. Gary Jerome St. Pierre
November 25, 1950 - September 15, 2007

passed away peacefully at W.R.H.C. Met Campus on September 15, 2007 at the age of 56. Beloved son of Gordon & Marcella St. Pierre (nee Regnier). Loving brother of Simone (Dan) Geiger, Janine (Mike) Breschuk, Don, Laurie (Wayne) Campbell. Dear uncle of Kevin, Keith, Sheri, Jeff, Paul, Matthew and Kristi. Gary was a longtime employee of Hotel Dieu Hospital until he retired in 1991. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to all the staff at Heron Terrace Nursing Home for their kind and gentle care given to Gary. Visiting Monday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh . Prayers Monday at 7:30 p.m. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Anne Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Robert Couture will be the celebrant. Cremation. In kindness, a donation may be made to the charity of your choice. A tree will be planted in memory of Gary in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held in the fall of 2008.

Mrs. Dorothy Stanton (nee Moir)
January 22, 1926 - September 15, 2007

passed away peacefully, with her loving family at her side on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital at the age of 81 years. Beloved wife of the late Charles "Charlie" Stanton (February 18, 2000). Dear mother of Jody Cecile and husband John, Chuck Stanton and wife Monica, Bob Stanton and wife Denise, Jenny McCloskey and husband Pat. Cherished grandmother of Michael and wife Sarah, David, Bobby, Caitlin, Bradley, Julia, Emily, Maddie and great-grandmother of Gavin. Dorothy is survived by brother Don Moir and wife Margaret and predeceased by brothers Bud Moir and wife Charlotte and Robert Moir. Sister-in-law to Jack Rockett and his wife the late Bev Rockett. Aunt of Wendy Hillman (daughter of the late Teddy and Sinclair Hillman). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the CCAC Care Givers, especially Teresa Garcia and friend Mary-Jane Beuglet. Dorothy's family also wish to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses in emergency and ICU at H.D.G.H. for the excellent care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh . Rev Sharon Willis-Whitwell officiating. A private family interment service will follow at a later time at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In kindness memorial donations to the C.N.I.B. or to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Dorothy Stanton in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held in the fall of 2008.

George William NEWPORT

It is with great sadness that the family of George Newport announce the passing of husband to Jenny, father to Patricia, grandfather to 5 and great grandfather to 14 on September 16, 2007 at the age of 90 at Ballycliffe Nursing Home in Ajax. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Ballycliffe Nursing Home and Dr. Weber for their attention and care over the last 5 years. The family will receive friends at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village (Ajax) from 11-1:00 p.m. on Friday September 21, 2007. Funeral Service to follow in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated.

Mrs. Grace Margaret Dovey
December 25, 1926 - September 13, 2007

Died September 13, 2007 of Pulmonary Fibrosis at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto at age 80. Daughter of the late William and Sarah May Devine. Grace is survived by her brother of William Devine and by her former husband Jack, son Christopher and wife Morgan, grandchildren Zoey and Raphael, nephew William and wife Kathleen and their son, Christopher and niece Denise. Born and raised in Hamilton, Grace was a long-term employee of Beacon Hill Lodge. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Service will be held at the Chapel of White Chapel Memorial Gardens 1895 Main St. W., Hamilton, on Wednesday, September 19 at 2:30 p.m. With Inurnment to follow.
