Mr. Ernest Everard Belnavis
June 6, 1915 - August 25, 2007

BELNAVIS, Ernest Everard passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Humber River Regional Hospital (Finch Ave.). He was 92 years old. Leaving wife Fazia (Janet), children Clive, Carl (U.S.A.), and Sally (U.K.), 4 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren, sister Hazel and brothers Oswald and Eric Stubbs, numerous nieces and nephews, family and many friends - to mourn his passing. A Memorial Service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Chapel (33 Memory Gardens Lane, on Thursday, September 6th, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Humber River Regional Hospital (Finch). Arrangements entrusted to Highland Funeral Home. Rest In Peace

Raymond "Ray" Walker
August 1, 1924 - August 24, 2007

WALKER, Raymond Edward "Ray" passed away peacefully at Henry Ford Hospital on August 24, 2007. Predeceased by Genevieve Walker (2001). Beloved father of Noell, Kent & Carol, Greg & Susan, Grant & Cori and Dianne & Bruce. Cherished grandfather of Denise, Michelle, Jenny, Glen, Peter, Sarah and Heather. Great grandfather of Gage, Ainsley, Austin and Sienna. Dear brother of Irene Wanklin and Freda Wiume. Ray was a retiree from Canada Customs and Excise at Hiram Walker and Windsor Raceway. Ray remained active as an artist, painting portraits and landscapes. He was an athlete who worked out at the University of Windsor regularly and on the road cycling. His true passion was dancing. Departing suddenly and most unexpectedly he will be missed by many: his family, his friends and dance partners in both the Windsor and Detroit Metropolitan areas. Visitation at the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Avenue (519-253-5225) on Thursday from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service Friday August 31, 2007 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. As your expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. A tree will be planted in memory of Raymond Walker in the Janisse Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 30, 2007. All are welcome.

PRIEUR, Janette passed away peacefully on Sunday August 26, 2007 at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus. Predeceased by her husband Norman (1972). Loving mother of Norman (Diana), Sandi Cossarini (Mario 2001), Peter (Susan). Predeceased by Ronald (2005). Mother-in-law of Emily of Florida. Cherished grandmother of Terry (Randy Schering), Debbie Summit, Michael Martin, Ronald, Lee Ann (Larry Adair), Randy Martin (Karen), Brenda (Jeff Schering), Karen (Jim Bozzo), Michael (Anne), Stephen (Stacey), Daniel (Kathie), Nicole, Dana (Lindsay Aitken), Marnie Cossarini and Jocelyn. 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Janette is predeceased by her siblings, Mel Scarr, Nella Primeau, Vina Scott, Corinne Meloche, Joe Bessette, Cecile Cranston, Mabel Brunet, Eva Drouillard, Martha McFarlane, Greta Atkinson, Mary-Louise Rousseau, Edward Bessette and Janette is survived by her sister-in-law Thelma Bessette. Special friend of Ben Uzdello. Special thanks to Darlene and the staff of Iler Retirement Home and Dr. Johnson and the nursing staff of 8th North. Visitation will be held at Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave, on Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9 with Parish Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Visitation on Wednesday from 9:30 until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Roman Catholic Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations to the charity of your choice. A tree will be planted in memory of Janette in the Janisse Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September, 30th 2007. All are welcome.

Glenda Gaffney, R.N. nee Nichols
August 19, 1956 - August 26, 2007

passed away peacefully at her home with her loved ones by her side on Sunday, August 26th, 2007. Beloved wife of Dr. Greg Gaffney and devoted mother of Micheal and Brian. Dear sister of Allison (Vernon) Curtis, Ross (Sheila) Nichols, Paul Nichols and Lois Ann (Vernon) Graham. Sister-in-law of Michael (Marion) Gaffney. Godmother of Rebecca. The family will receive friends at the Best Western Highland Inn, 924 King Street, Midland on Wednesday August 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and at St. Paul's United, 308 King King Street, Midland on Thursday from 10 -11 a.m. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Donations may be made the the Breeat Cancer Society.

Mr. Albert George Murphy
June 4, 1946 - August 25, 2007

Murphy, Albert George (Al) Retired C.S.C. - Al passed away peacefully, at home on the evening of Saturday, August 25, 2007. He died following a long battle with heart failure and a short skirmish with cancer. He approached his illness with humour and determination. He will be missed forever and always by his wife Erin (nee Stockman). He is also survived by his daughter, Kelly Little, and his sons, Matthew and Mason Murphy, and their children. Al will be fondly remembered by Erin's family. He had a special place in the hearts of his nephews, Dustin, Tyler and Kurtis. He will be missed by his friends, Ron and Marianne Boutillier, and Gail, Meagan and Shannon Shkwarek. Friends will be received at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes - Township Chapel 435 Davis Drive (Centennial Drive & Taylor Kidd Blvd.) on Tuesday August 28, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday August 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Mr. John (Jack) Taylor
December 27, 1935 - August 25, 2007

Peacefully passed away at Hamilton General Hospital with his family by his side on August 25, 2007 in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Gladys. Loving father of John (Sherry) and proud grandfather of Michael. Survived by brother Mike (Pauline) and predeceased by sisters Marie, Dorothy and Joan. John will be sadly missed by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. John was a proud and dedicated long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 58 and Colour Party. The family will receive friends at the L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North on Tuesday, August 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, August 29 at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow. Virginia 'Deedie' Grozelle (nee Farris), 81 years, passed away peacefully, on August 27, 2007. Beloved wife of the late John (1975). Loving mother of Russell and wife Jo-Anne; Daphne and husband Doug Fuerth, all of Lakeshore. Dear grandmother of Stephanie Grozelle; Katie Grozelle and fiancee J.P. Bekasiak; Craig and Scott Fuerth. Predeceased by her parents Russell and Alma Farris (nee Hebert) and her sister Shirley Farris. Visiting Tuesday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh . Parish and C.W.L. prayers Tuesdsay at 7:30 p.m. Visiting resumes after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at St. Gregory the Great Church (13789 St. Gregory Rd., St. Clair Beach) until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Daniel Bombardier will be the celebrant. A family interment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Deedie Grozelle in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 30, 2007. Alll are welcome.

Mr. Frank Sumner
April 19, 1921 - August 21, 2007

SUMNER, Frank Leonard - Frank passed away August 21, 2007 at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto. Frank was born in England on April 19, 1921. He is survived by his sisters Audrey Irving, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Dorothy Long, Halifax, NS and brother Kenneth (Kath) Dunford, Spain and several nieces and nephews. Frank served in the RAF during the Second World War. He immigrated to Canada in 1951. He worked at dairies in Montreal and Toronto. A private family service will be held during the interment at Highland Memory Gardens, Toronto, on Wednesday, August 29th.
