passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital, with his loving family by his side, on Sunday, September 2, 2007. Best friend, loving companion and devoted husband of over 61 years to Sheina. Deeply loved and respected by his children Glory Goldman (Joe) and Larry (Beth). A kind and generous mentor to his adoring grandchildren Brandi and Ryan, Amy, Rachel, and Joshua. Considerate and caring brother of Benny and Bertha Karakowsky of Toronto, Seddie Spronger of Kingston and special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service was held at Beth Israel Congregation, 116 Centre Street, on Monday September 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Beth Israel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Beth Israel Congregation. Shiva will be observed at 8 Pembroke Street, Kingston. In the care of Gordon F. Loving grampa of Tanya & Fola, Laurie & Martin, Tre (Ray) & Julie, Sara, Shannon & Kevin, Michael, Teanna, J.C. (John 4th), Dakota, Mitchell, Danielle, Kelly, Chantell and Kristy. John was the longest member of the Cherry Hill Hunting Club and a past member of the Riverside Sportsmen Club. Loving son of Clarence and the late Helen Munroe. Cherished brother of Heather (Wayne Burns) of Calgary, Alta., Gail (Nick Negri) of Aurora and Gary of Peterborough. Adored uncle of Alexander, Andrew and the late Stephen Negri. Predeceased by Viola Munroe. Will be dearly missed by Jane Fletcher, Avis & David Brown and their families.
