Ghaney, William passed away peacefully at Huronia District Hospital (Midland) on September 20, 2007 at the age of 59.
William, beloved husband of Pauline (nee Hayes). Dearest father of Staci Lea and her husband Geoff Rae and grandfather to Chloe. Son of the late Elizabeth and William. Brother of Thomas, Herbert (Beth), Bridget, Mary, Anne (Felix), Elizabeth (Eugene), Pauline (James) and the late Samuel. Son in law of Gertrude Hayes. Uncle of the late Bradley Park. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and fellow cottagers of Christian Island. Mr. Ghaney is resting at Scott Funeral Home, Mississauga Chapel, 420 Dundas St. East (one block west of Cawthra Rd.) for visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 5 - 9pm. A funeral mass will be held on Monday morning September 24, 2007 in Holy Angels Church (502 Talbot St., St. Thomas, Ontario) at 10am. Burial Holy Angels Cemetery St. Thomas, Ontario. After a courageous battle with cancer, Karen passed away, with family by her side, at Peel Memorial Hospital on September 19, 2007 at the age of 55. Dearly beloved wife of Blair for 34 years. Loving mother of Scott (Alyssa), David (Tanya), Blair and Anne Marie. Nana to Diamond, Jeffrey and Leia. Daughter of Anna Burke and niece of Georgie Gallant and Margaret MacLeod. Karen will be sadly missed by her three brothers and sister, extended family and many friends. Family and friends will be received at the SCOTT FUNERAL HOME "Brampton Chapel, " 289 Main St. N., Brampton on Sunday, September 23 from 2 - 4 p.m. for a celebration of Karen's life. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church in Sydney, Nova Scotia on Saturday, September 29 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Chandra passed away peacefully from complications due to Leukemia on Thursday, September 20, 2007 surrounded by his family and friends. Chandra was a loving husband to Uma, and a doting and proud father to Shalini and Sheila. He is survived by his dear brother and sisters Nagaraj, Jayalakshmi, Saroja and their families. Chandra had a genuine appreciation for all that life had to offer and brought joy and happiness to all he met. He lived everyday to its fullest and will always be remembered for his gentle smile and big heart. He will be deeply missed by all of those he touched, but his light will continue to shine as he watches over us from above.

THOMAS, Helen Angeline, a resident of Chatham passed peacefully Thursday, September 20, 2007 at Riverview Gardens in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert Thomas (1983). Mother of Frances Fairley (Arthur) of Hamilton, James Thomas (Brenda) of Chatham John Thomas of Chatham and Gail Unsworth (Larry) of Tupperville. Grandmother of seven. Mrs. Thomas came to Chatham from Saskatchewan in 1948 and has been a member of Evangel Community Church since that time. Together with her husband Robert owned and operated "The Guest House" on Thames Street in Chatham. The family will receive visitors Sunday September 23, 2007 from 1-4 pm at the Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Ave., Chatham . A service of celebration will take place Monday, September 24, 2007 at 10:00 am at Evangel Community Church (76 Sandy's St., Chatham). Interment to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Dear brother of Shirley Alm and the late Albert (2007) and wife Helen of St. John's, also survived by sister-in-law Helen McQuarrie. Smitty served in the RCNA 1951-1957. A former employee of Electrozad Supply of Windsor, and resident of Wildwood Golf Resort (McGregor). Member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 594. Dear grandmother to Colleen & husband Jim Reimneitz, Ronald Robinson & wife Cyndi, Greg & wife Karen Gardin, Glenn & wife Colleen Gardin, Guy & wife Andrea Gardin. Great grandmother to Danny, Matthew, Paul, Scott, Alison, Ian, Nicolas and Elyse. Beloved sister to Veronica Bratt & the late Veril, Beatrice Gibb & the late Frank, George Deneau & wife Yolanda, James Deneau & wife Virginia. Predeceased by her brothers Thomas (1990) and Richard (1969) and baby sister Betty Jean (1928). Sister-in-law of Irene Deneau and Wilfred Robinson.
