Mr. Walter Borisko
March 9, 1921 - September 14, 2007

Walter BORISKO passed away in Port Hope, after a lengthy illness. Husband of the late Alice (1992). Father of Dianne (David), Kenneth (Kathy), and Susan (Milton). Grandfather of Lindsey and Jason. Brother of Nick, John (Isla), Donald (Mary), Anne (Len), predeceased by Nellie (Cal), Kathy (Don), and Irene (Greg). Walter joined the Army in 1940 and served for 5 years, including duty in North Africa, Italy, and Holland. After the war, he entered the family Trucking Business where he remained until retirement. He loved spending winters in Florida and playing golf. In recent times, he has had the love and support of his partner Nina Summers. Walter’s family is very thankful to her, for all that she has done for Walter. The family would also like to thank everyone at the Community Nursing Home in Port Hope for their tender care in his final weeks. The family will receive friends at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village (Ajax) for a memorial service on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 3 pm in the chapel. Interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Mrs. Elsie Audrey Edmonds
October 31, 1938 - September 21, 2007

Edmonds, Elsie Audrey (nee Grix) passed away suddenly on Friday September 21, 2007 at Hamilton General Hospital in her 69th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children Barbara (Marcel Paquette), Jean (Gary DeLand), John (DawnMarie McGovern), David Armstrong, Mary Lou (Ken Christopher), Roberta (Rick Cantone) and Robert (Cheryl). Proud Nanny of Kandi, Krystal, Kristopher, Angela, Tom, Ryan, Danielle, Kenny, Joey, Ericka, Cody-James, Cassandra and the late Jessica and great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by her K9 companion "Harold". Dear sister of Tommy Grix and Pat Burns. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday September 24, 2007 at Merciful Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 2775 Erin Centre Blvd., at 10:30am. Cremation. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Mrs. Lorraine Marie Illeen Claire Seeger
February 16, 1943 - September 22, 2007

Lorraine Marie Illeen Claire Seeger, 64 years, passed away suddenly on September 22, 2007 at her home in Essex. Beloved wife of 44 years to Gerald 'Gerry'. Loving mother to Michael and Andrea; Ken; Deborah and Shane Dunnett, of N.B. Dear grandma to Serena, twin girls Jenna and Danika, and Gabrielle. Dear daughter of the late Leo and Leona Gagnier and daughter-in-law of the late Eino and Dorothy Seeger (Benoit). Dear sister of Richard and Mary Jane; and the late Ernie (1994). Sister-in-law of Elaine Gagnier, Dennis and Josie Seeger; Glenn and Wanda Seegar and survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be missed by her beloved cat 'Peanut'. Lorraine was a longtime employee of the National Bank, was an avid golfer, a former member of Beach Grove and spent countless hours on her arts and crafts. Visiting Tuesday, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh . Prayers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Rose de Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Dino Salvador will be the celebrant. Cremation will take place with an interment of the cremated remains at Annunciation Cemetery. In kindness, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimers Society of Windsor would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Lorraine in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held in the fall of 2008.

Mrs. Ellen Evelyn Warren
March 29, 1907 - September 22, 2007

Warren, Ellen Evelyn passed away peacefully on Saturday September 22, 2007 at the age of 100. Loving wife of the late Walter Earle Warren (1977). Dear mother of Madelon Kidd (Allan) and predeceased by 3 daughters; June Reid, Juanita Wade and Geraldine Wright. Ellen will be sadly missed by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Ellen is predeceased by her two sisters Eileen Fennemore and Edythe Grimmer. Visitation Monday from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Morris Sutton Funeral Home (68 Giles Blvd. East at Goyeau, Windsor 519-254-8633). Visitation Tuesday at Highland Funeral Home & Creamtion Centre - Scarborough Chapel (3280 Sheppard Ave. East 416-773-0933) from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. Interment Wednesday, September 26, 2007 Highland Memory Gardens (33 Memory Gardens Lane Willowdale). Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Mr. Stanley R. Marek
July 5, 1918 - September 21, 2007

MAREK, Stanley R. passed away at the Quinte Health Care, Picton Hospital on Friday September 21, 2007 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Natalie Marek (nee Banyra). Loving father of Carol Hagerman (Doug) of Ottawa, Patricia Thornton (Robert) of Ottawa, Marilyn Spencer (Robert) of Keene, and Michael Marek of Victoria, B.C. Loved by his grandchildren Jeffrey, Aaron, Jonathan, Stephanie, Andrea, Nicholas, Victoria and his nephew Andrew Zajac. Predeceased by sister Anelia Zajac. Visitation for family and friends at the BURKE FUNERAL HOME 150 Church St., Belleville on Tuesday from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. followed by light refreshments in the Burke Funeral Home Terrace Room from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday September 26, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery, Toronto (3:00 p.m.). In lieu of flowers memorial donation to the Lennox and Addington Hospital Foundation or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

January 17, 1947 - September 21, 2007

BOYD, Judith Marilyn, formerly Smith (nee Ellis) - After a brief illness, Judith passed away at the Grand River Hospital at the age of 60.
Judith will be greatly missed by her husband John and her daughter Robin. Judith is also survived by her brother Ron (Pat) Ellis.
She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to follow at a later date.
Arrangements entrusted to L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North . Donations to the Breast Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Gary "Hap" Hoover
October 31, 1954 - September 21, 2007

HOOVER, Gary "Hap" passed away suddenly on Friday, September 21, 2007 at Kingston General Hospital. Treasured son of the late Ada Sutton stepfather William Sutton. Loving father of Katina and Libby. Beloved companion of Kim. Dear brother of Wayne, Brian (Foxy), Ron, Rick, Tina, Bill and Gerry. Predeceased by brothers Dave and Terry. Sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. In accordance with family wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 26 at 1 p.m. at the Central Chapel of the GORDON F. TOMPKINS Funeral Home, 49 Colborne St. (at Clergy). Interment to follow at Cataraqui Cemetery. Donations to the Kingston Boys & Girls Club would be appreciated.

CARTY, Catherine Helena "Helen" passed away peacefully at Extendicare Nursing Home on September 21, 2007 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Evaristus "Tom" Carty. Dear mother of Thomas J. Carty (Anne) and mother-in-law of Mary Jean Carty. Fondly remembered by her grandsons Jeff, Paul, and Matthew. Predeceased by her son Patrick V. Carty and daughter Sr. Mary Carty CND. Cherished sister of Sr. Gertrude Hamilton CND. Predeceased by her sisters Mary, Zita, Marguerite and her brothers Everett, Ed and Joe. Sadly missed by her sister-in-law Margaret Hamilton and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Central Chapel of GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 49 Colborne Street (at Clergy) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with the Vigil Service at 1:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Church on Wednesday, September 26th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow the service. Rite of Committal at a later date at St Edward's Cemetery, Westport, ON. Memorial donations to the Kingston Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
