Past member of the Kingston Musician's Union. passed away on October 18, 2007 at the Kingston General Hospital in his 78th year. He will be sadly missed by his daughters Linda Patterson of Oromocto N.B., Laurie (Brett) Lockerbie of Kingston and Susan Purdy of Bowmanville. Cherished grandpa to Chris, Kate, Jason, Jordan, Joel, Joshua, Kyle, Krystin and Nick. Beloved great-grandpa to Gregory, Grayce and Zander. Survived by his brother Jim Taylor of Kingston. Predeceased by his sister Marg Sutherland and his parents Bert and Theressa Taylor. Friends and family will be received from 1-2 p.m. on Monday October 22, 2007 at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home - Township Chapel 435 Davis Drive Kingston, (Taylor Kidd Blvd. & Centennial Drive). A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Kelly, Dorothy (nee Wright) passed away peacefully on October 17, 2007 at the Helen Henderson Care Centre in her 92nd year. She is predeceased by her husband Jack Kelly (1991). She will be sadly missed by her children James Charles Kelly and Maureen (Ron) Day. Cherished grandma to John (Andrea) Cooke and Christine Cooke (Mike). Beloved great-grandmother to Brittany and Matthew Cooke. At Dorothy's request there will be no visitation held. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Chapel of St. Mary's Cathedral. Loving father of Diane Taylor and her husband Mike, and Lori Kent and Pedro. Pops of David, Matthew, Sean, Kim, Daniel and Scott. Brother of George and his wife Marilyn.
