Mary Trombley (nee MacAulay)

In her 82nd year, Mary Trombley passed away May 4th, 2000, at the Smith Falls District Hospital, Smith Falls, Ontario.
Born in Glace Bay, Mary was the daughter of John N. and Annie Kerr MacAulay of Cottage Street. She attended schools in Glace Bay and later taught at Central School. Mary also taught school in Saskatchewan before moving to Ontario where she entered the field of social services. She was employed at the Rideau Regional Hospital until her retirement.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Robert J. Trombley of Smith Falls, Ont., step-daughters, Margaret McDonnell (Torrance) of Toledo, Ont., and Shirley (Tom) of Brockville, Ont., sister-in-law, Blanche MacAulay of Glace Bay, NS, brothers, D. Kerr MacAulay (Florence), Taigh Na Mara, Glace Bay, NS, and Reverend Roderick MacAulay (Evelyn) of Pincher Creek, Alberta. Her many nieces and nephews will mourn her loss.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by a sister Phyllis and a brother John, both of Glace Bay, NS.
There was no visitation by request. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Knox United Church, Glace Bay, or to a charity of one’s choice.

Nina Darrow, 92, of Hamilton, Ont. formerly of Sydney and Grand Banks, Nfld., died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at Macassa Lodge, Hamilton.
Dear mother of Violet (and her husband Cam Heathcote), Hamilton and Douglas, Winnipeg.
Predeceased by her husband, Dennis, daughters, Dinah and Marie and son, William.
Survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cremation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Albert Francis MacKeigan, of Cambridge, Ont., passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2000.
Born in Sydney Mines, NS, he was the son of the late Albert and Margaret (MacKinnon) MacKeigan, Guy Street, Sydney Mines.
Survived by his wife, Mary (Gionet) MacKeigan, three sons, two daughters and seven grandchildren, all of Guelph, Ont.
Also survived by sisters, Rodian Moore, Sydney, Florence Landophi, Hyde Park, Mass., Teresa Holic, Antigonish, and a brother, Martin (Jessie) MacKeigan, Sydney Mines, nephews and nieces in Nova Scotia, Ontario and the U.S.
Funeral arrangements under the direction of Wall Custance, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Ont., N1H-4K3.

Theresa (Foster) McDonald, died suddenly Sunday, March 26, 2000, in London, Ont.
She is the daughter of the late David and Sarah (Tobin) Foster.
She is survived by her sister, Hildegarde Cox, Sydney Mines, NS.
She was predeceased by brothers, Cyril, William and Thomas.
A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at St. Pius X Church, Sydney Mines at 9 a.m.
Rose Mary (nee Gromick) Turner
70, Oakville, Ont.
Rose Mary (nee Gromick) Turner, 70, of Oakville, Ont., died on Monday, April 3, 2000, after a lengthy illness, in Oakville Trafalgar Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the beloved daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Gromick.
She was predeceased by husband, Jeremiah (Jerry) Turner and an infant son.
Surviving are daughters, Brenda (Grant) Edmiston, Burlington, Ont., Diane (Ken) Chapman, Victoria, Australia, and grandchildren, Sean, Michael and Stephanie; four brothers, John (Gen), Dominion, NS, Bill (Elinor) Dartmouth, NS, Joe (Rita), Glace Bay, NS, and Archie (Lois), Coxheath, NS; and one sister, Caroline Paruch, Sydney and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place in Oakville, Ont. A memorial mass will be held at a later date.

Kevin Leo Delaney

Kevin Leo Delaney, 51, of Oshawa, Ont., formerly of Sydney, NS, died Friday, March 17, 2000, at the Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital, Oshawa.
Born at Sydney, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mildred (Whalen) Delaney.
He was a former member of St. Theresa’s Parish, Sydney. Kevin had worked with LCBO in Oshawa for the past 14 years.
Surviving are his dear companion, Sharon Tilling; two daughters, Kathy and Donna, both of Sydney, NS; two sons, Bernie and George, both of Sydney; four sisters, Alice, Sydney, Mary Theresa (Tom) Mombourquette, Sydney, NS; Ann Madore, Oshawa, and Barbara Mombourquette, Sydney, NS; two brothers, David (Geri), Hamilton, Ont. and Pat (Diane), Sydney, NS. Also surviving are two grandchildren.
Predeceased by his brothers, James and Bernie.
The late Mr. Delaney will have no visitation. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Redeemer Church with Rev. Errol MacDonald officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
