Peacefully at the John Noble Home, Brantford, Ont., on Wednesday, April 5, 2000, in her 85th year.
Glenda (nee Cooke), beloved wife of the late William Canning. Loving mother of Harry and his wife Edna, Hamilton, Mansell and his wife Sharron Lee, Brantford, Gary and his wife Shirley, Brantford, Grace and her husband Paul Loube, Toronto and the late Bill Canning. Cherished Gramma to eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Glenda was a foster mother for over 60 children while she lived in Cape Breton, NS.
The family will receive friends at the Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home, 96 West St., Brantford, Friday from 2-3 p.m. followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
George William Thomas Delaney

George William Thomas Delaney, passed away, Sunday, March 19, 2000, in Burlington, Ont., at the age of 74.
He was the son of the late Ethel and William Delaney of Sydney Mines, NS.
He is survived by his wife, Pat (Sheilds); three sons and one daughter. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Bessie Hollingsworth, Sydney Mines; one brother, Lou (Marg), Yellowknife.
Private cremation has taken place.
David A. Hollingsworth

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David Alexander Hollingsworth, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 51 years.
Beloved companion of Brenda Leslie (and family), cherished son of Bessie Hollingsworth. Father of Lisa, David, Amanda and Angela. Grandfather of Alysia. He is also survived by 12 brothers and sisters, Johnny, Danny, Bobby (Carolyn), Joey (Marilyn), Bill (Anne), Kay, Ethel (Gord), Donna (Norm), June (George), Lois (James), Patty (Melvin), Debbie (Weldon) and his many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Wayne and Mary Norton (and family), Whitey Engleby, and co-workers at Curwood Packaging.
He will be sadly missed by all those who loved him.
Sandy was a member of the Salvation Army in Sydney Mines, NS.

Friends were received at the J.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home, Georgetown, Ont. (905) 877-3631, Thursday, April 6 from 12-1 p.m. A memorial service was held in the chapel at 1 p.m. Cremation.

George Norman Durdle, 77, of Port Perry, Ont., formerly of New Waterford, NS, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2000.
He was the son of the late George and Melina Durdle.
He is survived by wife, Freda (Altrof); one daughter, Norma (Jim Tower); four grandchildren; brothers, Earl, Allister, Edward, Leonard, Bernard; sisters, Belle Pyke, Winnie Ball.
Predeceased by brother, Chesley, sisters, Hazel, Myrtle MacDonald.
Cremation has taken place.
Ann Marie Landry

Wednesday, Apr. 5, 2000, Ann Marie Landry (nee Pottie) passed away at the Henderson General Hospital, Hamilton, Ont.
She is survived by her loving husband Robert (Bob) Landry, two children, Paula, of Hamilton, and Rob and his wife Sandy, of Grimsby.
Predeceased by her parents Henry and Florence Pottie, of St. Peter’s, N.S., she will be sadly missed by her very special friend Eric Burke of Cape Breton, NS, and by all her family and close friends. Ann Marie was a member of the St. Joseph’s Parish, Grimsby. Funeral mass was held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingstone Ave., Grimsby on April 7.
Rites of committal have taken place at Grimsby Mountain Cemetery.

Terrance Bellefontaine, 70, of Crystal Beach, Ont., passed away on Monday, April 3, 2000.
He was the son of the late Leo and Agnes Bellefontaine of Sydney, NS.
He is survived by beloved wife, Margaret (Murphy), Welland, Ont. and children, Richard, Bradley, Dianne, David, Terri Leigh, Dennis, Deborah, Tom, Mark, Rachelle and Greg, 12 grandchildren and special Goddaughter Kathleen Campbell. Also survived by three sisters, Virginia, Rita and Sr. Teresa CSM, sister-in-laws, Dorothy and Joyce and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers, Dave, Ted, Eugene, a sister, Annie, two brothers in infancy, Joseph and Augustin, nephews, James, Frank, Vincent, niece, Patti and sister-in-law, Evelyn in Nanaimo, B.C. on March 15. Also predeceased by his first wife, Rita MacDonald, mother of Richard and Bradley.
