Melvin Earl Brown

Peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2000, at the Tillium Health Center, Mississauga in his 67th year.
Mel will be sadly missed by his sons, Ken, Mick, and his wife Teddie and their mother, Celia Lyons. He was the loving grandfather of Melissa, Tanya, Andrew, Michael and Nicole.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Will come home to rest Tuesday, May 9.
Margaret Dasiy Mooney (Wadden)

Margaret Daisy Mooney (Wadden), formerly of Port Morien, passed away suddenly on July 16, 2000, in Windsor, Ont.
Born May 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Philomena Wadden. She was a veteran of the Second World War serving in Holland, a former member of Branch 55 Legion, Port Morien, and a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 578, Windsor, Ont.
She is survived by one daughter Claudia (Rupert) Dulvenboorden, New Brunswick; one son Patrick, Windsor, Ont.; sisters, Eunice (Robert) Cann, Betty (Bessie) Buott, Janet (John) Walke, Wilena (Harry) Oster and one brother Frankie, all residing in Ontario.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Barney, brothers, Herald and Raymond.
Burial took place on July 21, 2000, in Windsor, Ont.
Karen Ann Peach
39, Brampton, Ont.
Karen Ann Peach, 157 Balmoral Dr., Brampton, Ont., and formerly of Donkin, Cape Breton, died Monday, August 7, 2000, at the Toronto Western Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of Willie and Edie (Brown) Matheson. Karen was a member of St. Luke’s United Church, Donkin.
Karen is survived by her husband, Ken Peach; daughters, Ann Marie, Kendra and Edith, all of Ontario, (who are presently on their way home to Donkin); sister, Joan Marie (Dan) Jessome, Edmonton, Alta.; brother, Clarence (Debbie) Peach, Brampton, Ont. Also survived by her grandmother, Nomie Brown, Birch Grove, and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by a brother in infancy, Ronnie; her grandparents, Willie and Georgie Matheson and Jim Brown.
Visitation and funeral services will be announced at a later date.
Family flowers only, by request.

Fred Scott
90, Toronto, Ont.
Fred Scott, a member of the Quarter Century Club of the L.C.B.O. and long-time Mason, passed away peacefully in Toronto on Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, in his 90th year.
Predeceased by his first wife, Bonnie and his second wife, Eloise Jean.
Survived by Hazen, Freddie, Kate, Carol, Ian and their families and his sister, Leona and brother, Dean.
Predeceased by his son, Barry, daughter, Heather, granddaughter, Darlene, brothers, Cantley and Lloyd and sisters, Muriel, Marjory, and Katie.
Friends may call at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. West (2 lights west of Yonge) today (Tuesday) from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held from the chapel Wednesday at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Robert Richard Jason
46, St. Catherine's, Ont.
Robert Richard Jason, died suddenly at his cottage on Lake of Bays, Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, at the age of 46.
Beloved husband of Paula McPherson, 51 Hillcrest, St. Catharines, Ont., L2R 4Y3. Devoted father of Michael. Dear son of Beatrice (nee Sekora) and Richard Jasinski and brother of John Jason (Sarah). Dear son-in-law of Irene McPherson, New Waterford, N.S. and the late Dan H. McPherson. Brother-in-law of Shauna (John Purdy) and uncle of Janet, Robert and Jamie Purdy.
Born in Montreal, Quebec, he was a graduate of Concordia University and then obtained his CA. He received a law degree from McGill University and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1982. He also obtained an MBA from York University in 1985, and a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall in 1997.
Robert was a partner of Fogler, Rubinoff in Toronto, where he practiced tax law. He was an active member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and authored numerous books and articles on taxation related matters. One of his greatest joys was spending time at his cottage with his family, and coaching little league baseball on the weekends in Dwight.
Robert is resting at the George Darte North Chapel, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Julia’s Church at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 7-9 p.m.
Memorial remembrances to Breast Cancer Research and Education Fund, 366 St. Paul St., St. Catharines, L2R 3N2, (905) 687-3333 or Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
George Raymond Rossiter
72, St. Thomas, Ont.
George Raymond Rossiter, a resident of Elgin Manor, St. Thomas, Ont., died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, in St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital.
Born in Sydney, N.S., May 28, 1928, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Gertrude (Moore) Rossiter.
He was a retired operating engineer with Central Rigging in Milford, Conn., where he had been employed for 25 years and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 478.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Norma Janice (Greer) Rossiter; daughter, Sharon Nicli and her husband Paul, St. Thomas; son, Robert Rossiter and his wife Aline, Bethlehem, Conn.; grandchildren, Trevor Montefalcon, Hawaii and Colette Rossiter, Connecticut.
Mr. Rossiter was predeceased by his grandson, Tyler Montefalcon.
Brother of Sylvia Pearce, St. Thomas, Harold Rossiter, Sunridge, Carl Rossiter, Orangeville, Marjorie Hastings, Orangeville and the late Wilfred Rossiter, Lydia Dalton, Syd Rossiter and Herbert Rossiter.
There will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service. Cremation took place at Woodland Crematorium, London.
There will be a private family graveside service held at Elmdale Memorial Park, St. Thomas.
The R.E. Allen Funeral Chapel, St.. Thomas, Ont., is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
