Joseph (Andy) Harrietha on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000, at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, St. Catharines, Ont., at the age of 70 years.
Beloved husband of the late Rejeanne Harrietha (1999). Dear son of the late Joe and Mary (Waugh) Harrietha. Loving stepfather of Robert Philion and step-grandfather of Gilles and Michael.
He is survived by his sisters, Margaret Harrietha, Irene Rideout, Patricia Carey and brother of Mick and his wife Nettie, all of Bras d’Or.
Predeceased by sisters, Josie O’Shea and Velma Bona and brothers, Dan and Jack.
Joe was born in Bras d’Or and he was employed on the Great Lakes until his retirement in 1995.
The family will receive friends at the Hulse and English Funeral Home and Chapel, 75 Church St., St. Catharines, Ont. (905-684-6346), Thursday 2-4, 7-9 p.m. The vigil for the deceased will take place in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred’s Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines, Ont., Friday, Aug. 25, 2000, at 9:30 a.m. Rite of committal will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

She is survived by loving husband, David and her daughter, Ruth Glos; sisters, Faith (George) Carter and Deborah (Bud) MacIntosh; brother, George (Robin) Williams and many friends and relatives.
Burial under the direction of Windsor Funeral Home will be Thursday, Aug. 31.

Mary Thelma Young, of 73 Johnson St., Guelph Ont., formerly of Alder Point, died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at the Guelph General Hospital.
Born in North Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth (Pacquet) LeBlanc.
She is survived by her children, Joseph, Stevie, Wally, Annie Ethel (Jack) Coventry, Rita (Josie) Laffin, Henry (Janie), Willard (Beverly), Marie (Frank) Mammolite, Josephine (John) Devoe, Noel (Brian) Boutilier, Bernie (Bev), Brian (Donna), and Darlene (Gord) Mathieu. Loved mother-in-law of Trudy and Stella. Loving Nan to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandson. Also surviving are sisters, Lorraine LeBlanc, lsabean Swan, Rita Ferneyhough, Marie Russell, Freda LeBlanc, Theresa McCarthy, Annie Jeanette Grant; brothers, William LeBlanc, Edward, and Winston.
She was predeceased by her husband John Henry Young and a sister Martha Stubbert, daughter-in-law Greta.
Visitation will be held at G.R. Francis & Son Funeral Home, Sydney Mines, Friday, July 7, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass Saturday 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Bras d’Or, Rev. Bedford Doucette officiating. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Bras d’Or.

Peter William (Billy) LeBlanc, 63, of Etobicoke, Ont., passed away Thursday, July 6, 2000, at his residence.
Born in Margaree, he was the son of the late Pierre LeBlanc and Anne Marguerite (nee Muise) LeBlanc.
He is survived by brothers, Patrick and John (Heather), both of Cheticamp, Alex (Marilyn), Waltham, Mass.; sisters, Anna Mae AuCoin, Grant Etang, Inverness County, Marguerite (Mrs. George Richard), Marie (Mrs. Normand Doucet), Helene (Mrs. John Chiasson) and Rita LeBlanc, all of Waltham, Mass.
He was predeceased by one brother, Clarence LeBlanc.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in Cheticamp Funeral Home. Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday from St. Peters Church, Cheticamp, with Fr. Maurice Riberly officiating. Interment in parish cemetery.

Allister Bond, 81, of 51 Fifth Street, New Aberdeen, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2000, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex. Allister had been very ill the past two months.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late John Westley and Francis (Bishop) Bond. He was a member of Warden United Church Glace Bay. Allister worked as a coal miner all his life in No. 20 Colliery until his retirement. He served in the Canadian Army.
Allister is survived by his wife Jean (White) Bond; daughters, Doris (Mrs. Henry Mills), Glace Bay, Sheila (Mrs. Eddie Mulhern, Ont., Diane (Mrs. Laurie Flanders), Alberta, Barbara (Mrs. Keith MacLean), Glace Bay, Carol Bond, (Bill), Glace Bay; sons, Gerald, Edmonton, Alberta, Sheldon, Glace Bay; grandchildren, Henry, Cecil, Lori, Dale, Jason, Lindsay, Troy; great-granddaughter, Amber Rose; sisters, Anna MacKenzie, Glace Bay, Alma De Jeet, Glace Bay, Erma (Mrs. Lauchie MacDonald), Mira.

Marion (Parsons) Gallop

We regret to announce the death of Marion (Parsons) Gallop of Barrie, Ont.
Born in North Sydney, Sept. 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Adelaide (MacKenzie) Parsons.
Mrs. Gallop was employed at the Town Hall, North Sydney, N.S., before moving to Toronto in 1948.
Mrs. Gallop was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by daughters, Kim (Mrs. David Jardine), Barrie, Ont., Gail (Mrs. Brian Day), Mississauga, Ont.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold (Bud) Gallop, sisters, Marjorie A. Nicholson, Bertha Wilkie, brothers, Donnie, Kennie and Horace in infancy.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2000 at 11 a.m., Jennett Funeral Chapel, McLelland and Slessor Funeral Home, 152 Bradford St., Barrie, Ont.
