Betty Armstrong
81, Richmond Hill, Ont.
Mrs. Betty Armstrong, 81, of Richmond Hill, Ont., passed on Saturday, April 29, 2000.
She is survived by a son, Charles, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also by sisters, Jennie Brabant, Mady Tobin, Olga Howard and Teresa Powers, all of Ontario. Other family members include, Rita Muise, Sydney, along with Leo, Port Hawkesbury and John, Ontario.
Besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.P. MacDougall, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Wally, brothers, Alex, William, Jim and Eric, and a sister, Mary.

M.W.O. Joseph (Joe) Wayne Parsons
45, Petawawa, Ont.
Joseph Wayne Parsons, 45, of Petawawa, Ont., died Sunday, May 7, 2000, in Holland.
Born in Reserve Mines, N.S., he was the son of Lucy (Chiasson) Carter and the late Willis Parsons.
He was a master warrant officer in the Canadian Military in which he served for 27 years.
Joe is survived by his wife, Kim Parsons; two children, Derrick Parsons and Desiree Parsons; one brother, George Parsons; six sisters, Linda Boudreau, Patricia Roper, Michelle O’Connell, Nancy Beaton, Judy Walker and Rose Lucas, and 15 nieces and nephews.
Visitation and memorial service will be held in Petawawa, Ont. A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph’s Church in Reserve Mines, Tuesday, May 16, at 9 a.m. for his friends and family who will not be able to travel to Ontario.
Joe brought a lot of joy to his family and friends who will miss him dearly.

45, Petawawa, Ont.
Joseph Wayne Parsons, 45, of Petawawa, Ont., died Sunday, May 7, 2000, in Holland.
Joe is survived by his son, Derreck Joseph Parsons.

Jack Lively
70, Hamilton, Ont.
Jack Lively, 70, of Hamilton, Ont., died Monday, May 15, 2000.
Born in Sydney, N.S., he was the son of Mary Jane and John Lively.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer O’Neil; five sons, Robert, Ronald, Raymond, Fred and Wayne; one daughter; Ruby Ann; several grandchildren; and five sisters, Virginia (Mrs. Charles Sudds), Guelph, Ont., Helen (Mrs. Arthur Pettipas), South Bar, Phyllis (Mrs. Tom Sudds), Halifax, Gladys (Mrs. Joseph MacKenzie), South Bar, and a brother, Wayne V. Lively, Ontario.
He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Lively, and a brother, Edward Lively.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Patrick Kieley
58, Kitchener, Ont.
Patrick Kieley, 58, of Kitchener, Ont., passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2000.
Survived by his wife, Beverley, sons, James, Blair, Patrick, daughters, Jane, Natalie, Christina.
Predeceased by two sons, Leonard and Mark, his father, Nicholas Kieley, mother, Ellen Jane McCarthy, brothers, James, Joseph, Roland, and a sister, Catherine.
Also survived by brothers, Michael, Nicholas, William, sisters, Barbara, Catherine, Helen, and his first wife, Patsy MacAulay.

Duncan J. MacNeil
69, Hamilton, Ont.
Duncan Joseph MacNeil, 69, died suddenly at his home in Hamilton, Ont. on Friday, May 19, 2000.
Born in Barra Glen, Iona, Cape Breton, he was a son of the late Francis M. and Margaret MacNeil.
He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church and a 30-year member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a retired employee of Ironworkers Union Local 736.
He is survived by his wife, Mina; sons, Norman and J.J.; sisters, Margaret and Dottie (Mrs. Robert Almon), North Sydney; brother, Neil (Barbara) Hamilton, Ont.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Murdock, Norman and Angus.
Visitation was held at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, Hamilton, Ont. Funeral services will be held today at St. Luke Church, Hamilton, Ont. Interment in the parish cemetery.

On Saturday, May 20, 2000, at the Peel Memorial Hospital, Brampton, Ont., at the age of 63 years.
Beloved husband of Ollie. Loving father of Edward and Corinne. Dear papa of Zachary. Son of Bertha and the late Edward. Dear brother of Marjorie Black, Phyllis MacIntyre, Carol MacDonald, and the late Evelyn Murray. Son-in-law of the late Catherine Mazur of Vancouver (died May 18, 2000).
Friends were received at the Ward Funeral Home, Brampton, Ont., Tuesday, May 23. Funeral mass at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Brampton, Ont. today, Wednesday, May 24. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Brampton, Ont.
