Beloved husband of Helen (nee MacDonald), formerly of New Waterford. Dear father of Dave and his wife Lisa. Lovingly remembered by his grandson, Paul.
He was predeceased by his parents, Pat and Helen Chiasson, Cheticamp and his brother, Cyril.
Cremation took place. Interment in Oshawa, Ont.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Michael G. MacKinnon

Michael G. MacKinnon, formerly of 410-8th St., New Waterford, passed away suddenly Friday, March 24, 2000, in Port Credit, Ont.
Michael was the son of Mary C. MacKinnon and the late Michael MacKinnon.
He is survived by two children, Michelle and Robert; one sister, Ann Marie; brothers, Bernard and Roderick; granddaughter, Khristle; also nieces and nephews.
Michael ran his own transfer and trucking business. He was well liked and will be missed.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held in Port Credit. Burial will be held in July at Mount Carmel Cemetery, New Waterford.
John Angus MacNeil
71, Rideway, Ont.
John Angus MacNeil, 71, of Ridgeway, Ont., died Sunday, March 19, 2000.
Born in Benacadie Pond, he was the son of Dan X. and Annie (Gillis) MacNeil.
Angus spent most of his life working in Ontario and retired from General Motors in St. Catharines, Ont. in 1994. He will be deeply missed by family and many friends in both Ontario and Cape Breton.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie (MacDonald); stepchildren, Donna MacAllister, Jacqueline, Bill, Brian and Richard Woolsay and Peter, Freddie and Herman Lang. He is also survived by sisters, Mary MacDonald, Bessie Coombs, Margie MacKinnon, Rita Madore and one brother, Murdock (Flo) MacNeil.
He was predeceased by brothers, Hughie, Jimmy, and Patty and one sister, Agnes MacDonald.
Funeral mass was held at St. Georges Catholic Church, Wednesday, March 22, with Fr. Ben Vanco officiating. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Williams Funeral Home, Ridgeway, Ont.
Douglas Perley Jeans

Douglas Perley Jeans, Fort Erie, Ont., passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, in Douglas Memorial Hospital.
Born in Sydney, N.S., he was the son of Irene (Gallop) Jeans, Sydney and the late Perley Jeans.
Doug was a sign painter by trade. He operated a business in Halifax and in recent years, Toronto and Fort Erie.
He is survived by one daughter, Carla and two sons, Kevin and Michael, Toronto; companion, Lynda Wagg, Fort Erie and several grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Bill, Alan and Dwight, Halifax, Ralph and Harvey, Sydney and one sister, Deborah, Toronto.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sydney Memorial Chapel with burial to be held a later date.

On Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000. Henry, loving husband of Freda. Beloved father of Heather Hanna, Michael Nesbitt, and Yvonne FriedI, loving grandfather of Jennifer, Bradley, Kristi, Tyler, Scott, Cody and Elysia. Remembered by his sister, Jean.
Friends will be received at the Accettone Funeral Home, 384 Finley Ave., Ajax (9O5-428-9090), Sunday, Jan. 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass will be held at St. Bernadette’s Church (21 Bayly St. E., Ajax) on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
Alice (Allie) Chisholm
84, London, Ont.
Alice Chisholm, passed away peacefully at Grace Villa Nursing Home, London, Ont., Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000.
Alice was a long time resident of Leitches Creek.
Dear mother of Dennis and his wife, Debbie of London. Loving grandmother of Dennis Jr. and Shelby. Also survived by her sister, Margaret Gloster, Halifax, N.S.; brother, Cyril Merner, Sydney, N.S.; and by several nieces, nephews, grandnephews and grandnieces in Sydney, Truro and New Glasgow.
A memorial service for the late Mrs. Chisholm was held. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks, N.S. at a later date.

In loving memory of our dear beloved adopted son, Maxwell Durnford of 60 years, who passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at Belleville General Hospital, Ontario.
He leaves behind his dear beloved wife, Dianah; three daughters, Donna, Frances and Kathy; two sons, Maxwell and Joshua and four grandchildren. Also his adoptive mother and father Catherine Marsden of Sydney, and Joshua.
He was predeceased by one 11-year-old daughter, Juanita, sister, Flora Burutski, Orillia, Ont., brother, John R., Corner Brook, Nfld. and two sons in infancy.
