Norman was a RCAF veteran of the Second World War. A graduate of McGilli University B. Comm., 1950, and a life member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
His passion for the game of baseball, automobiles, dogs and his family will always be remembered.

Beatrice Nicholson, peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, in her 90th year, at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, Ont.
Beloved wife of the late George, loving mother of Al (Eileen), Evelyn, Bill (Liz), Madeline, Jim (Elaine), Dorothy, Kathleen, Joan, Thelma (Vaughan), Ritchie (Helen), Gloria (Gordie), Kenny (Aleida) and Danny (Ann).
Predeceased by her children, Tom, John Arthur and Clara.
Grandmother of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Nicholson is at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines, Ont. Visitation was Sunday and Monday 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel today (Tuesday) at 11 a.m. Interment Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines, Ont.
Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
Alice (nee Merner) Chisholm
84, London, Ont.
Alice (nee Merner) Chisholm, 84, of London, Ont., formerly of Leitches Creek, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at the Grace Villa Nursing Home, London, Ont.
Born at Whitney Pier, she was the daughter of Dennis J. and Alice (Cuddihy) Merner.
She is survived by her son, Dennis and daughter-in-law, Debbie and two grandchildren, Dennis Jr. and Shelby. Also surviving is a sister, Margaret Gloster, Halifax and a brother, Cyril, Sydney.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gus Chisholm, brothers, John, Dennis, Martin, Leo, Tom and Walter and a sister, Molly.
Cremation took place. A memorial service was held Monday, Feb. 7 at Holy Redeemer Church, Sydney at 8:30 a.m.
Jack MacIntyre
71, Brampton, Ont.
A retired long-time employee of A.T. Plastics, Brampton, Ont., peacefully at his home in Brampton, on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at the age of 71.
Beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Alexander). Loving father of Sharon and Allan and his wife Tammy. Cherished grandfather of six. Survived by his brothers, Jerry and Albert and his sisters, Marion and Hazel.
Jack will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main St. South, Brampton, Ont., Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at the Assumption Cemetery, Brampton.

William Joseph Scott
78, Cambridge, Ont.
William Joseph Scott, 78, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Ontario.
Beloved husband of Von Scott (nee Hinchey), formerly of New Waterford.
Loving father of Catherine Finley and her husband, John, Ingersoll, Carol Scott, Toronto and Joanne Sears and her husband, Vaughan, Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Joseph, Sherry, Julie, Melissa, Meagan, Bill and great-grandchildren, Jennifer and John.
Bill was a veteran of the Second World War, having been involved with the Normandy D-Day invasion. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 121 Galt, Cambridge.
Bill retired from the Toronto Transit Commission after 31 years of service.
Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where the family will receive friends today (Saturday) from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, Monday, Feb. 14, 2000 at 10 a.m. Interment in Memory Gardens, Breslau.

A legion service under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 121 will be held Sunday evening at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Peacefully, with his family by his side, on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, Arthur Hubert of London at the age of 65.
Loving husband of Shirley for 43 years. Dearest dad to Floyd and wife Karen, George, Arthur, Raymond and wife Debbie, Gary and wife Heather. Brother to Vivian (Calgary), Beulah (Windsor), Carol (Windsor), Willard (Cape Breton), Del (Cape Breton) and Frances (Cape Breton). Grandpa to Wanda, Cassandra, Chad, Cory, Jesse, Cody and Darren. Great-grandpa to Ryan and Dakota. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his mother and father, George and Maude and his brothers, Percy and Melvin.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Peggy Brown beloved wife and dance partner for 57 years of Gordon C. (Dutch) Brown. Dear mother of Barbara and her husband Bruce Coleman and Ron and his wife Arlene. Proud grandmother of Gwen and Ian Coleman and Kelsey and Evan Brown. Also survived by sister, Mary Martinello, Sydney, N.S. and the late Sr. Marion Power, the Congregation of Notre Dame, Antigonish, N.S. and the late Donald.
Mrs. Brown was born at Sydney, Cape Breton Island, the daughter of the late Sarah and George Vincent Power. She was a life member of the Port Hope and District Hospital Auxiliary, the Catholic’s Women’s League of Our Lady of Mercy Church and the Merry Wives Friendship Club.
