Louis LaCourse
1931-09-26 to 2008-03-29

Peacefully, after a brief illness, LOUIS BARTHOLOMEW LaCOURSE on Saturday, March 29th, 2008, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Doreen, loving father of Barclay LaCourse, Linda Zylstra, Sandy Horan, Shelley Brown, Julie George, Tim LaCourse, Susan Miller, Joel LaCourse, and brother of Doug LaCourse. Predeceased by parents Louis Cyril and Louise Lulu (Date), son Michael and brother Paul. Grandfather to Michelle Rankin, Laurie Seager, Nathan LaCourse, Marcy and Billy Zylstra, Ron Hicks, Dana and Natalie Brown, April and Jason George, Danielle and Wyatt Miller, Jacob, Elijah, and Marley LaCourse, plus several great-grandchildren. A life long resident of Sarnia, Barth was born September 26, 1931. He worked at Imperial Oil, Shell, and was the owner-operator of Century Auto Sales since 1960. Visitation at the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008 at 11:00 am. Internment at Lakeview Cemetery. Donations in memory of Barth may be made to S.O.D.A. (Sarnia Organ Donors Awareness) or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. (Cheques only please).

Kauer, Hans Gunter

Kauer, Hans Gunter passed away on October 4, 2012 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie. Survived by his loving wife of 40 years Maren, son Heiko Gordon (Katrina) and grandchildren Quinne and Eowyn. Always remembered by his brother Eberhart (Hanne), sister Ursula (Heinz), nephews Uwe (Sherri), Mark (Linda), Peter, Tom (Ruth) and grandnieces Cassandra, Kira, Alexandra, Natasha and grandnephew Nathan. Celebration of Hans Gunter’s life to take place on Wednesday October 10, 2012, 4pm at 1064 Sunnidale Road, Barrie. Donations may be made to your local food bank.

Lillian Martin
1937-12-04 to 2008-04-04

It is with great sadness that the family of LILLIAN GERTRUDE MARTIN,of Sarnia announces her passing on Friday, April 4th, 2008 at the age of 70. Sadly missed by her husband Edward. Loving mother to Barry Martin, Geoff Martin, Paul Martin and Paula and her husband Erik Fraser. Grandmother to Erik and Jillian Fraser. Sister of Warren, Sadie and Susie. Many nieces and nephews survive. A celebration of Lillian's life will take place in the chapel of the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, April 9th, 2008 at 11am with interment to follow at resurrection cemetery. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 7-9 pm. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

At his residence on Monday, May 18, 2009, ROBERT JOHN DELDERFIELD, age 89, of Sarnia, beloved husband of the late Olive Elizabeth (Braiden) Delderfield. Dear father of Glenda Kawchak and her husband Peter of Calgary, AB and Sharon Baulch and her husband Bruce of Lansing, MI. Loving grandfather of Mark Kawchak and his wife Jill, Stephanie MacKay and her husband Scott, Chad Baulch and his wife Michelle and Todd Baulch and his wife Meghan. Great-grandfather of Dylan and Devynn Baulch. Dear brother of Howard Delderfield and his wife Pearl, Jeanette Brooks and Betty Gates all of Sarnia. Also survived by a brother-in-law Lyle Corbett. Pre-deceased by his parents John and Annie (Garrod) Delderfield and a sister June Corbett, Mr. Delderfield was born at Belleville and had lived in the Sarnia area since 1933. He was retired from Dow Canada with over 35 years of service. A veteran of World War II, he served overseas with the R. C. A. F. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Friday, May 22nd. at 2:00 p.m. with the Venerable Dr. Gordon J. J. Simmons officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Salvation Army or the Charity of Choice (cheques only please).

Mary Lasenby
1924-06-19 to 2008-03-30

At Bluewater Health -Mitton Site on Sunday, March 30, 2008, MARY MARGARET (DAVISON) LASENBY, age 83, of Sarnia, beloved wife of Norman Peter Lasenby and dear mother of Mary Anne Mathers of Sarnia and Norma Jean Martin in Florida. Loving grandmother of Bonnie MacDougall, Tracy Grant, Scott MacDougall and Janice Scribner. Also survived by four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Mildred Jackson of Trenton, Katherine Foslett of Sarnia and Jack Davison of Florida. A lifelong Sarnia resident, Mrs. Lasenby was pre-deceased by a son James, a daughter Karen, two sisters Annie and Isobel and a brother Thomas. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter # 6, since 1970. Visitation will be held at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, April 1st. in the afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. The Order of the Eastern Star Chapter # 6 will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:45 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society (Cheques only please).

Phyllis Scott
October 24, 1925 to May 24, 2009

SCOTT, PHYLLIS MARION (JENKEN) â€" Phyllis, age 83, passed away peacefully on May 24th, 2009 at Bluewater Health Palliative Care from complications of a stroke. She is the beloved wife of the late Norman Scott (Nov.20th, 2008) and the dear mother of Carol Kennedy and her husband Robert and Brian Scott and his wife Candace all of Sarnia. Loving grandmother of Andrew Knowles and his girlfriend, Nicole Paquette, Ryan Knowles, Kyle Scott and his wife Jennifer and Lindsay Scott. Step-grandmother of Anne and Jeannette Kennedy. Phyllis was an only child, but was happy when surrounded by the large Scott family. She is survived by sisters-in-law Dorothy Baines and Margaret Scott, brothers-in-law Robert Scott, Bruce Barry and David Kilbreath, and several nieces and nephews. She is also loved by her cousins in the Jenken family. Phyllis is predeceased by sisters-in-law Anne Barry, Margaret Kilbreath and Patricia Knight and brothers-in-law John Scott, Ross Baines and James Knight. For more than 80 years Phyllis lived in Point Edward and was an active participant in the village community. The Point Edward United Church has always been an important part of Phyllis's life and she will be missed by her many friends there. She was a devoted wife to Norm who was her sweetheart since elementary school. Since Norm's passing, Phyllis has done her best to continue an active life at the Residence On the St.Clair and her church. She will be remembered for her strength of character, her generous spirit and her devotion to her family. Funeral service will be held at POINT EDWARD UNITED CHURCH, 213 Michigan Ave., Point Edward on Thursday, May 28th. at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday afternoon and evening, May 27th. from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Point Edward United Church (cheques only please). The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Bluewater Health 4 North B and the Palliative Care Unit for their care of Phyllis during her final days.

January 19th, 1929 to February 5th, 2008

Peacefully at Bluewater Health-Mitton Site, on Tuesday February 5th, 2008, LEE WILLIAM SHAW, age 79 , of Sarnia. Predeceased by his loving wife Geraldine nee Scarrow Shaw (2002) and the mother of his children, Rose Shaw and Ken Campbell.
Dear father of Gary Shaw of Alberta, Joanne Dunn of Sarnia, Kevin Shaw (Peggy) of Sarnia, and his predeceased son Randy Shaw (2002). Loving Grandfather of Renee, Trevor, Laura, John, Alisha and Robert, and great grandfather of Ashley. Brother of Irene Beck, Hester Glover, Dora North and Betty Ellis (Don). Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Gladys Shaw. Lee was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Point Edward Service Club. Funeral Services will be held from the Chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Friday, February 8th , 2008 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. At Bluewater Health - Norman Site on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, JANET JEAN (MILLER) TOWELL, age 68, of Sarnia, beloved wife of the late Raymond Francis Towell and dear mother of Bonita Rae Towell and her husband Shawn Trotter of Hamilton , Robert Wayne Towell and his wife Angela of the Cayman Islands and Gregory John Towell of Sarnia. Loving grandmother of Marissa and Bryce Towell. Dear sister of Gail Moran and her husband George of Port Lambton, Craig Miller and his wife Shirley of Brigden and Bruce Miller and his wife Joyce of Sombra. Visitation will be held at the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Friday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Monday April 7th at 11:00 am from the Sombra United Church. ALEXANDER "MURRAY" CLARK

Peacefully passed away in his 81st year on October 4, 2012 at Southlake Health Centre surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 55 years to Mary Jane "Minnie". Cherished father to Lynne. Friend and devoted father-in-law to Mike. Loving brother to Mabel (Eric) and the late Iain. Dear brother-in-law to Sam (Judy) of Tasmania and Davey (Anne) of Australia. Beloved nephew of Amy of Scotland. Murray will be missed by his in-laws and his many friends, neighbours, cousins, nieces and nephews, especially by nephew Johnny and niece Irene of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Murray was born in Alyth, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1948. Proud member of Local 46 for 60+ years. At Murray's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Thanks to the nurses and staff of the palliative care unit at Southlake, Dr. Mona Ma and Nurse Moodie.
