Marcia was born to Charles Dufferin Roblin and Sophia May (Murdoch) on March 1, 1923 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Marcia was predeceased by her brother, former Manitoba Premier Duff (Mary) Roblin and her sister Cynthia (Stanley) Brown. She was also predeceased by her beloved husband Bryce Cousens (RAF – ret.), OBE and her beloved son, John Rhys Sale. Bryce passed away from a long illness in 1976. Marcia stayed in England for a few more years, and then decided to return to Canada. She travelled across the country, reacquainting herself with family and friends she hadn’t seen in twenty years. Eventually she and her daughter Andrea bought a house together and settled in Barrie, Ontario.
Her great passions were her children, her husband Bryce, English literature and European art and history.
Marcia will always be remembered for her intelligence, her spirit and her dignity. Service and interment will be held in Winnipeg at the end of August. The date will be posted later.
