BAILEY, Robbie “Rob” – Peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, surrounded by family on Sunday, September 29th, 2013 at the age of 56. A resident of Blenheim, Rob is survived by his mother Bernice Filby (Sam) of Northwood, his brothers Ron Bailey (Anna) of Blenheim, and Randy Bailey (Linda) of Kamloops, B.C.; by his step-sisters Charlene Meredith of Keswick and Chrissie Filby (Fred) of Chatham, step-brother Randy Filby of Toronto, his son Ryan Bailey of Blenheim, Erica Gullekson and Trevor Gudmonson of Alberta and several nieces and nephews as well as several great nieces and nephews. Rob is survived by his life long friends Grant Smith, Dean Gordon and Jacob Burk. Rob is predeceased by his father, Frank, and his brother Ric (2012). Rob retired from Navistar after 32 years of service. Cremation has taken place. With great regret and heartfelt sadness we announce the death of Marie Therese Marin, known as Lisette to many, after a brief struggle with cancer. Lisette Marin of Sault Ste. Marie in her 57th year. Loving mother of Mikey, Marty, Billie Jo (Ted) and Ashly all of Sault Ste. Marie. Special Grandma Lu. Dear daughter of the late Willie and Helena Marin and daughter-in-law of Church and Marlene Evans. Sadly missed by her brothers and sisters Ron (Debbie), Jeannine, Aliette, Andre (Lanel), Odette (Andre), Elaine (Larry), Roger, Nicole (Chris), Claire (Garry), Bert (Barb) and the late Claude, Adrien, Arnold, Huguette, Jean Guy and Geiven and sister-in-law of Rose and Darlena. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Lisette’s spirit was legendary and her charity and kindness infinite. Peacefully, after a brief illness, at the Blind River District Health Centre on Thursday September 26, 2013. Alan McLean in his 94th year, beloved husband of Gwen of Blind River for 64 years. Loving father of Susan Rivard (Ray) of Blezard Valley, David McLean (Carol) and John McLean both of Sault Ste. Marie, Keith McLean and Judy Laframboise (Ron) of Blind River, Amy Doussept (Rob) of Chapleau and Jamie McLean (Shelley) of Blind River. Special grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Mary Allen of Iron Bridge, Nancy Collins (Jim) of Blind River and the late Donald McLean and Gertrude Robb. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Alan had a keen interest in the history of Blind River and shared it through his many articles in the Elliot Lake Standard. He was a trustee on the North Shore Board of Education for many years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at St. Andrew’s United Church on Wednesday October 2, 2013 at 11 o’clock with The Reverend Dr. Paul Stemp officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Hamilton, BobRobert (Bob) Hamilton – of Elora, formerly of Elmira, passed away at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus on Tuesday September 24, 2013 at the age of 70.
Remembered by his children Tammy and Chris Campbell and their children Anna and Stephanie, Mike and Marsha Hamilton and their children Cole and Lucy, all of British Columbia. Dear brother of Judy and Bill Dunnell of Trowbridge, Doug Hamilton of Elmira, Marg and Frank Young of Goderich, Gus and Janine Hamilton of Mitchell, David Hamilton of Listowel. Fondly remembered by Carman and Ruth Ruppel, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Dorothy (Tindall) Hamilton, brothers Clifford in infancy and Barry, brother-in-law Bob Mathers and sister-in-law Laurie Hamilton.

It is with sorrow that the family of Blanche announces her passing on Monday September 23, 2013 at Algoma Manor, Thessalon at the age of 90. She was a resident of the Manor for 13 ˝ years. Predeceased by her husband Jim (July 1986) and daughter Lois (August 2011), grandson Don (2008), many brothers and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her daughter Evelyn (Rick) of Richmond Hill and son Wes (Colleen) of Sault Ste. Marie, her sister Rosemary of Bruce Mines, 4 sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law. Barrie retired as an ironworker at Algoma Steel after many years of service. Barrie will be remembered as a master builder and among his accomplishments was building the his sailboat, Karma. After a brief illness, at Health Sciences North, Sudbury on Wednesday September 11, 2013. Diana Seabrook of Iron Bridge in her 78th year, beloved wife of Donald Seabrook for 58 years. Loving mother of Vonnie Eveleigh (friend Kim Moore) of Agnus, Kathy Stevenson (Terry) of Burlington and Judy Lang (Andrew) of Oakville. Special Grandma to Tyler, Devin, Dexter, Lindsay, Christopher and Alicia. Dear daughter of the late William and Cloie Martineau. Dear sister of the late Douglas Martineau, Garnet Martineau, Kenneth Martineau, Wilma Williams and Dorothy Lannigan. Dear sister-in-law Leona Devin and the late Glenn Seabrook. Loving Aunt to 23 nieces and nephews. Diana was born and raised in Thessalon. She married Don at the age of 19 in 1955 and spent three years in France while Don was serving with the Airforce, before returning to Canada in 1960. After spending 25 years in New Liskeard they returned for retirement to Iron Bridge to be closer to friends, family and loved ones. Diana was a people person.
