STEWART, June (Coward) of Usborne Township

Stewart, June - At the Exeter Villa, on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, of Usborne Township, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Glen Stewart (2002). Dear mother of Sandra Richardson of Surrey BC, Mike and Darlene Stewart of Usborne Township, and Kathie Wraight of Sechelt BC. Dear grandmother of Carly and Kaycee, both of Usborne Township. Dear sister of LaBelle Dixon of Alberta, and sister-in-law of Mary Jane Plamandon of London, Ray and Marian Stewart of Sarnia, and Margaret Stewart of Exeter. Predeceased by her daughter Janice (2010), son-in-law Sean Richardson (2013), and brothers Alan and Melvin.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main), on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Friday, June 12th at 10:30 AM with Rev. Marilyn Carter officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to the Thames Road/Elimville United Church, the South Huron Hospital Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Zink, Kathleen Marie of Sarnia

Peacefully in her sleep at Bluewater Health, KATHLEEN MARIE (George) ZINK on Sunday June 7, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Richard Zink (1983). Loving mother of Julie (Tom) Wolfe and Robin (John) Pritchard. Loving grandma to Steven & Beth of Sarnia, Chris & Evie & Nancy Sahler. Cherished G.G. to Lilli, David, Ben, Emily & the newest great grand baby girl due to make her appearance in October. Loving Sister of Fran Cooke in Penticton, B.C. Very special and loving aunt of Cynthia Dobrindt and Great Aunt to Matthew, Nathan and Bethany. Predeceased by her mother Cynthia (Bennett) and father Thomas Frederick George, sister Ivy May (George) Ladouceur and her brother Frederick (Sonny) George. Family and friends may visit at the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE ON Wednesday, June 10, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Sunset Rebekah Lodge # 185 of Sombra, will hold a memorial service on June 10 at 6:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow with a private committal service of ashes at a later date. The family wishes to thank Lambton EMS, doctors and nurses at B.W.H. Emergency Department, and Dr. Syan and the nurses on 4th. Floor Medical A for the care and compassion that mom received while in their care. It is Kathleen’s wishes that no flowers be sent, memorial donations can be made to the Sarnia District Humane Society or the Huron House Boys Home.

GALLIVAN, Pat of Wyoming

passed away at C.E.E. Hospital in Petrolia on Friday, May 29, 2015. Patricia “Pat” Gallivan, 80 years, of Wyoming. Pat was the loving wife of the late Jack Gallivan (2003). She will be missed by her children Mary Pat (Ian) Washington of Sarnia, Dan (Jessica) Gallivan of Toronto, Maureen (Doug) McGregor of London, and Kevin (Suzy) Gallivan of Vancouver. She was a loved grandmother of Craig Washington, Meghan (Paul) and their son Jacob Andrusiak, Kevin and Kalyn McGregor, and Simon Gallivan. Pat is also survived by her sisters Nancy McGee of Ottawa, Mary Kennedy of Toronto, Rose Ryan of Blue Sea, Quebec, and her brother Tim Hogan of Ottawa. Pat retired in 2000 as librarian from St. Philips School after many years of service. Pat was also active in the community with the Margaret Stokes Chapter of IODE and enjoyed spending time in her Book Club. In her free time Pat enjoyed reading, gardening, antiquing and following her favorite teams the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Pistons. Visitors will be received on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia. A mass celebrating Pat’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Philip’s Church, King St., Petrolia. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Petrolia Community Fund (Petrolia Library) or the C.E.E. Hospital Foundation.

PRANCE, Mrs. Luanne (nee Price), of St. Thomas, Ontario

PRANCE, Mrs. Luanne (nee Price), of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, May 25, 2015, in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of Ron Prance, and dearly loved mother of Dale Broderick (Joanne Burton) of St. Thomas, and Andrew Broderick (Heather Baker) of Wallacetown. Step-mother of Sandra Prance (Dale Thomson) of Surrey, BC, and Steven Prance (Jennifer) of St. Thomas. Also fondly remembered by her step-father, Jack Harper of St. Thomas, a number of grandchildren, as well as several in-laws, nieces and nephews. Born in St. Thomas, ON, December 9, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Murray Price and the late Luella “Lou” (nee King) Harper. Luanne was an independent insurance broker. She was a member of Central United Church, St. Thomas. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Wednesday evening, May 27th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Luanne’s life will be held at Central United Church, 135 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Thursday, May 28th at 11:00 a.m. Flowers respectfully declined. If so desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice will be gratefully acknowledged.

BESWICK: KIMBERLY (Clark) of Ingersoll

BESWICK, Kimberly – passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the age of 46. Dear daughter of Joan Clark and the late William. Beloved wife of Brian Beswick of Ingersoll. Loving mother of Clark and Lindsay Beswick, both at home. Dear sister of Bradley Clark (Lynn) of Sault Ste. Marie. Sister-in-law of Sylvia Warnke of Vancouver, Doug Beswick (Jodi) of Ilderton and Sue Helm (Mike) of Aylmer. Sadly missed by her mother-in-law Betty Beswick of St. Thomas. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. The family will receive friends at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME 69 Wellington St. N., Woodstock on Thursday, May 28 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Friday, May 29, 2015, 11 am at Faithway Baptist Church, 439 Athlone Ave., Woodstock with Pastor Zad Tomberlin and Pastor Ken Ingram to officiate. A reception will follow the service at the church. Private family interment will take place at the Ingersoll Rural Cemetery. DUKESHIRE, Diane Evelyn of Belleville

Dukeshire, Diane – it is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Diane Dukeshire at Moira Place, Tweed on Thursday, May 21st, 2015 in her 76th year. Diane was born on May 8th, 1940 in Timmins, ON, the second child of the late Henry and Leila Welin. She has lived in Belleville with her husband Ken Dukeshire since 1970. Diane is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Brad) Rush of Oakville. She is the proud grandmother of Rachel Rush, currently studying at Queen’s in Kingston and Cooper Rush, currently studying at Sir Wilfred Laurier in Waterloo. Diane is also survived by her sister, Marlaine (Stanley) Burke of Kingston, NS and her brothers Eric (Margaret) Welin, also of Kingston, NS and Brian Welin of Comox, BC. She is predeceased by her brother Dwight Welin.
The family is planning a service to be held in mid June.
Arrangements in the care of the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel (613-968-2273).
If desired, Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.

TIN HLA, LUCIA

LUCIA TIN HLA passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday May 24th, 2015 at Bluewater Health Palliative Medicine. Lucia (Khin Than Win) was born in Burma / Myanmar on July 12th 1959. She was the wife of Myo Win, loving mother of Dominic, sister of James (Janis) Myint Swe, Pascal (Jucinta), Michaela and Juliana of Sarnia, John and Andrew (Rose) of Vancouver, Felicitas and Maria of Burma, Aunt of Joycelyn (Jason) Jon (Val), Jackie (Milad), Pius and Olivia. Grand Aunt of Nicholis and Mya, Jasmine and Xavier also survived by many relatives in Burma. She was predeceased by parents Michael and Agnes Tin Hla. Funeral service will be held at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church 1011 Oak Ave, Sarnia, ON on Thursday May 28th at 11:00am. Friends and family may visit at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Wednesday May 27th between the hours of 7:00pm-9:00pm. The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Cheong, Dr. Pandu Shetty, Dr. Naidu and Dr. Crombeen of Bluewater Health and also Dr. MacDonald of LHSC. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of Bluewater Health Palliative Medicine and 4th Floor Telemetry and all those who had cared for Lucia during her brief illness. Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Liver Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.

KNOX, VERNA JEAN of Stayner

Died peacefully on Thursday May 21, 2015 at the Stayner Nursing Home in her 92nd year. Verna of Stayner, beloved wife of the late Bill Knox. Loving mother of Susan Groves, the late Doug (Shelley), the late Garry and the late Elaine. Cherished grandmother of David (Kim) Groves, Dennis Groves, Greg Knox and Stacey (Brad Kahn) and great grandmother of Jack, Ben and Samantha Groves, Troy and Rhett Knox and Ethan and Griffin Kahn. Dear sister of the late Keith Harvey and the late Ivan (Marj) Harvey. Verna will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a long time member of Jubilee Presbyterian Church. She will be missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel on Sunday May 24, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday May 25, 2015 at 1 o’clock. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Jubilee Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by Verna’s family.
