DUPUIS, Willmer Lloyd
(Former General Motors Employee for 34 years, Veteran of W.W.II)
Passed away peacefully at Extendicare, Oshawa on Sunday, August 28th, 2005 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Marnien). Loving father of Cathy Peyton and her husband Dave and Steven Dupuis. Sadly missed by his grandson Ken. Fondly remembered by his sister Jean Jackson. Predeceased by his brothers George, Henry, Walter, Sam and Delbert and his sisters Etta and Edna. Willmer is predeceased by his parents Oliver and Ruth (nee Cowan) Dupuis. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel" 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Wednesday, August 31st from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, September 1st at 11:00 A.M. Interment Thornton Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated.

FRASER (Cousins), Freda
At Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Sunday August 28th, 2005, Freda Cousins Fraser in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Benjamin Cousins. Loving mother of John Cousins, Joyce Elliott and her husband the late David Elliott, Bruce Cousins and his wife Shirlee and Al Cousins. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Bryan, Graham, Kendra and Erinn Cousins, Amanda Huber, Brandi, Bob, Belinda Cousins and Aleesha Cousins and by her great grandchildren Samantha, Matthew, Christopher and Jazin Huber, Ryely Knapp, and Nathanael and Aidan Cousins. Visitation will be held at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Thursday September 1, 2005 form 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Durham Lung Association or the Canadian Corps would be appreciated.

GAGNE, Alberta "Birdie"
Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Sunday, August 28, 2005 in her 78th year. Loving wife of the late Donald Gagne and predeceased by her dear daughters, Sharon, Donna and Helen (Tana). Sadly missed by grandchildren Rebecca and her husband Jim Alessio of Orono, Jeremia Johnson of Napanee, Lisa and her husband Howard Burton of Cobourg and their children Jeff, Natasha, Jessica and Eric, as well as other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Birdie will also be missed by her close friends Sharon and Ed Neva and family of Napanee. Respecting Birdie's wishes, cremation will take place with no funeral service. Donations made to the Canadian Red Cross or to The Salvation Army would be appreciated by her family and may be made through NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME at 1-877-987-3964 with whom arrangements have been entrusted.

MONK, Laura Shirlin (nee Maughan)
Born September 28th, 1947 - died August 28th, 2005 at home with family by her side after a lengthy battle with cancer at the age of 57. Predeceased by her mother Annie Maughan, father Thomas Maughan, brothers Lolly "Loral" Coumbs, Thomas Maughan, William Maughan, James Maughan, John Maughan and Charles Maughan. Survived by sister Anne Billings of Blackstock. Loving wife of 38 years to Leonard Monk. Cherished mother to three children Wanda MacCrandles (Tim), Colleen Monk, Brenton Monk (Colleen). Loving grandmother to eight grandchildren Michael Bailey (Kathy), Amy Bailey, Ryan Bailey, Zachary Monk, Doulton Monk, Logan (Monk) Collins, Dillon Davies, Jayd Monk and one great- granddaughter Sierra McLeod. She fought a long, hard battle against cancer, and is finally with her parents and free of pain. She will be forever loved and missed. Friends were received at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel", 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Tuesday, August 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 at the ESSONVILLE LINE CHURCH in Essonville at 12:00 P.M. Interment at Essonville Line Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hearth Place or The Canadian Cancer Society.

YORKE, Michael Andrew
After a tragic accident on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2005, it is with great sadness to announce the death of Michael Yorke at The Ross Tilley Burn Centre at Sunnybrook Health Centre on Sunday, August 28th, 2005 at the age of 45. Deeply loved and always to be remembered by wife Cathie. Loving father of Andrea, Kevin, Adam and Emily. Dear son of Ken and Velma Yorke and son-in-law of Bob Tomlin and Joan. Cherished twin of Michele. Sadly missed brother of Steve and Sandy Yorke, Sherry and Dan Shaw, David and Denise Yorke. Lovingly remembered by many extended family and friends. Many heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful nurses and staff, especially Dr. Joel Fish and Dr. Alexis Armour at the RTBC, who worked tirelessly caring for Michael. WILSON, Eunice
On August 28, 2005, at the BonAire Nursing Home in Cannington, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Norman (1987). Dear mother of David (Louise), June, and Darrell. Loving grandmother of Kevin, Julie (David) Hunter, Rebecca (Ryan) Robinson, and Rachel Greene. Proud great-grandmother of Shelby, Katie, Dallis, Holly and Claire. A celebration of Eunice's life will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at 2p.m. from David's home in Enniskillen. In Eunice's memory, donations may be made to the Port Perry Hospital or the Canadian Diabetes Association.

ULLMANN, Josef
Peacefully after a lengthy illness, at his daughter's home in Orono on Sunday, August 28, 2005, in his 84th year. Josef, beloved husband for 58 years of Hilda of Toronto. Loving father of Vera Palko and her husband Josef of Florida, and Marie Smail and her husband Cam of Orono. Missed by grandchildren Monica and Nathaniel. Survived by his sister Anna Bogoczova and sister-in-law Zynka Szoltysova and their families, all of the Czech Republic. A funeral mass will be held in St. Wenceslaus Roman Catholic Church, 496 Gladstone Avenue, Toronto, on Saturday, September 3, at 11:00 a.m., with visiting in the church for a half hour prior to the service. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family, at the Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Saturday, August 27th, 2005 at the age of 39. Karin, beloved daughter of Donald and Hazel. GSCHWIND, Robert
(Former employee of Oshawa Garden Service, 33 years of service) At Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday August 27, 2005. Robert in his 80th year. Robert is survived by his sister Maria Gschwind of Switzerland. Dear friend of Marc & Cheryl Thiebaud, John & Pat Thiebaud, Rene & Cathy Thiebaud, Jackie & Fred Woods, and Annette & Alec Cowan, and their families. Fondly remembered by the staff at OGS. Robert came from Switzerland in 1957 and began working at OGS. He worked for the Thiebaud family until 1990, achieving 33 years of dedicated service. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday September 1, 2005 at 8 p.m. Memorial donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated. Peacefully, at the Port Perry Hospital, on Saturday, August 27, 2005, in his 104th year. Beloved husband of Ella May Holmes. Dear father of John (Florence) "Mike", Harry (Marilyn). Step-father to Arthur Thompson (Gertude) and family. Loving grandfather to Brian (Brigitte), Brent (Rhonda), Bridget (Scott Dewyze). Great-grandfather to Natalie, Spencer, Sabrina, Lindsay, Courtney, Brooklyn, and Cadence. Funeral Service on Thursday, September 1 at 2p.m. at the Erskine Cemetery Chapel. Loved grandmother of Christopher Martin (Donna), Florida, Kris Knight (Mary), Toronto, Tiffany Martin, Mississauga, Michelle Johnston (Brian), MaryLynn Holmes (Shawn), and Misty Knight (Tyrone), James, Michael, and David, and great grandmother of Brittany, Courtney, Christopher, Aliyah, Dion, Mikayla, Isaiah and Jamila, Dear sister of Ronald Myles, and the late Albert Myles, and sister-in-law of Carmel Hamlyn, Mary Johansen (Ejgil), Nora MacInally, and Patrick McCaffrey (Norma). Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and friends. Daughter-in-law of Jaraslava and Andy Pankiw, sister of Oleh and Sylvia, Bill and Walter, Paul and Jan Sadiwnyk and spiritual sister and best friend of Lynn Ruetz.
