JOHNSON, Dr. Albert Edward (Ted)
(Born in Hamilton) 1912 - 2005 After a full and rewarding life in Oshawa, Ted passed away at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late May Regan. Dearly loved father of Carolyn and her husband Bob Crowson (Kingston) and Bob and his wife Jane Johnson (Oshawa). Devoted Papa to Geoff, Marney and Shelley Crowson and Damien and Bretton Johnson. Papa will be sadly missed by great granddaughters Holly and Emily Crowson and the whole Johnson family (77 club). By his example, Ted taught our family to love life, take a keen interest in history and to value friendships old and new. He was a wonderful artist, an enthusiastic supporter and life member of the Durham Rowing Club, and a staunch member of St. George's Anglican Church, Scottish Rite and Lebanon Lodge. He was a lifetime member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Oshawa (65 years), member of the Oshawa Golf Club for over 50 years and proud volunteer of Camp X, the Wedgewood Club and the Lung Association. Above all, Ted will be remembered for his dedication to optometry where he cared for families in Oshawa for over 60 years. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel" 847 King St. West (905-721- 1234) to celebrate Ted's life on Wednesday, August 10th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. Lebanon Masonic Lodge #139 will hold a Masonic Service at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Service will be held at ST. GEORGE'S MEMORIAL ANGLICAN CHURCH (Corner of Centre and Bagot) on Thursday, August 11th at 3:00 P.M. Interment Oshawa Union Cemetery. Expressions of Sympathy may be made to the Youth Program of Durham Rowing Club, the Diabetes Association or St. George's Memorial Anglican Church-Memorial Fund.

SPRATT, Mabel Lewis
At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Sunday August 7, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Albert (Steve) Thomas Spratt. Dear sister of Audrey Irene McNeill. Cherished friend and neighbour of Carole & Phil Gilmer of Newcastle and Beatrice Robinson also of Newcastle. She will be sadly missed by Patricia Boyd of Orono. Visitation will take place at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Wednesday August 10th, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday August 11th, 2005 at 11 am. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to Durham Regional Cancer Centre or Memorial Hospital Foundation.

ZAHRABELNY, Eva
Peacefully on Sunday August 7, 2005 at The Village of Taunton Mills, Whitby, in her 99th year. Eva, beloved wife of the late Paul Zahrybelny (1991). Loved mother of Eugene Zahrabelny and his wife Linda of Whitby. Loved Baba of James Zahrabelny and his wife Sherry, Lisa Zahrabelny and her husband Simeon St. John, Paul Zahrabelny, Graeme Zahrabelny, Morgan Zahrabelny, and David Zahrabelny. Sadly missed by her great grandchildren Brandee, Joshua, Rebekkah, Syrraiah, and Kahdejiah. Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, on Monday August 29th from 9:30 am. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home at 10:30 am. Memorial donations in Eva's memory to a Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Peacefully, passed away at home on Saturday August 6, 2005, at the age of 66. George, beloved husband of Maureen. Loving father of Lisa and Paul. Brother of Ken and his wife Lillian.

Cherished grandmother of Karen and Brian, Paula and Richard, Scott, Lisa and Terry, Jason and Kim, and Joshua. Great-grandmother of Jean and Benjamin Kilpatrick, Tilley, Hannah and Olivia Wolfram, and Nora Shaw. Loving nephew Brant Willis. A Memorial Service will take place at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOM, 53 Division St. N., Bowmanville on Thursday, September 1, 2005 at 1 p.m.

CZOCHRA, Marion (Mike)
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Whitby on Saturday August 6, 2005 at the age of 75. Dear father of Sharon (Jim), Wanda (Stan), Linda (Earle), Larry (Irene) and the late Clayton. Son of the late Jan and Marcella. Brother of the late Hedwiga. Uncle of Helen, Margaret, Michael, Christina and Diane. Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Tenderly cared for by Aileen Thistle. Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Thursday August 11th at 2 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 3 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Loving father of Robert Prentice and his wife Margaret of Port Perry, William Prentice and his wife Mary Helen of Scugog Island, Barrie Prentice and his wife Mary of Winnipeg, Penny and her husband Don Pettypiece of Scugog Island and Everett Bruce Prentice and his wife Genny of Woodville. Loved grandfather of Jeanette, Leigh, Bradley, Nicole, Yvonne, Ross, Ian, Carla, Andrew, Charlotte, Kris, Karl, Vince, and Charlie, and great grandfather of Sarah, Chris, Tiffany, Chantal and Alyssa. Dear brother of Edna Brekke of Port Perry. The family of Everett Prentice received friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Tuesday, August 9th from 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life was held in the Chapel on Wednesday, August 10th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Frazer Lacey officiating. Dear father of Christopher, Nicole and Tori (and their mother Kim) and Bryan. Son of Eleanor Lewin and John Baxtrom. Devoted grandson to Edna and Philip Simms. Dear brother of Barry Baxtrom and his wife Joanne and Seana DePaepe and her husband Richard. Fondly remembered by Philip and Sandy Simms, Diane and Norm Wright, Walter and Lol Simms, Pamela and Steve Schutz and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Son-in-law to Eileen and Joseph Wade and brother-in-law of Joanne and Glen Barrett, Michael Wade and Reg Wade. Relatives and friends will be received at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Monday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service in the chapel on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow. Loving father of Dave Willoughby of Oshawa, Ross Ward of Little Britain, Rob Willoughby and his wife Debbie of Bobcaygeon, Doug Ward and his wife Sandy of Oshawa, Peter Willoughby of Highlevel, Alberta, Christopher Willoughby of Edmonton, Alberta, Gary Ward and his wife Kim of Oshawa, David Ward and his wife Amanda of Oshawa, the late Cathy Allin and Harry Willoughby. Special friend of Richard Bromell of Bobcaygeon and Norm and Marie Alford of Oshawa. Lovingly remembered by 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Donations to the Children s Wish Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.

CHURCHER, Kenneth Charles
(World War II Veteran) In his 83rd year at Hillsdale Manor. Husband of June (Preston) for 32 years. Loving father of Linda Lapard (Bruce), Ken, Diane, stepson Ron, and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survived by brother Norm (Molly), Lindsay, sister Elsie of Toronto. Predeceased by brothers Jim, Frank and Ted. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Many thanks to the nurses and staff at 2nd floor Hillsdale for their support, kindness and loving care. To follow Ken's wishes cremation has taken place. Burial will be held at Thornton Cemetery in the Veteran's Section. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Passed away suddenly at Weslemkoon Lake on Friday, August 5th, 2005 in his 66th year. Sadly missed by Donna Dion. Dear father of Darrell of Whitby and Denise of Brampton. Grandfather of Devon. Brother of Marlene Clark of Listowel, Ron Dion of Grimsby, Allan Dion of Moonstone, and the late Charles Dion of Victoria Harbour and Wayne Dion of Orangeville. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. DAGLEY-WEAVER, Nathan George Allen
Born on August 4, 2005 and passed away August 4, 2005 at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa. He will be deeply missed by his parents Stacey Dagley and Drew Weaver and by his extended family. A private family service was held on Monday August 8, 2005 at 11a.m. at Thornton Cemetery Chapel. Interment was held at Thornton Cemetery. Memorial donations to Lakeridge Health Oshawa Neonatal Intensive Care Unit would be appreciated by the family and may be made through the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME 124 King Street East, Oshawa.
