GROSS, Julie Emma
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday August 4, 2005. Julie in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Karl Gross. Dear mother of Ellen & her husband Gerhard Buchstatter. Grandmother to Karen & Monica. Great grandmother of Matthew & Nathan. Beloved sister of Anna Bene of Germany. Truly missed by her nieces & nephews James & Christena Gross of Port Perry, Erika Wolper & her husband of Germany, and Rudy Bene & his wife of Germany. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East Oshawa with a memorial service in the Chapel on Thursday August 11, 2005 at 1 p.m. followed by interment at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to Lakeridge Health Palliative Care would be appreciated. Visitation one hour prior to service time.

HOOD, Thomas
Peacefully taken into rest following a brief illness on August 4, 2005 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in his 99th year. Beloved husband of the late Frances (nee Simmons). Loving father of Wendy and her late husband Dale Short, Wilfred and his wife Marion, Anita and her husband Gilles Rossignol. Pre-deceased by six brothers and sisters in England. Proud grandfather of Richard, Ray, Craig, Darren and his wife Angela, Patricia and her husband Dan. Great grandfather of Samantha, Courtney, Amber, Nicole and Connor. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to save the Children.

Passed away at Lakeridge Health Corp. - Oshawa on Thursday, August 4, 2005. Predeceased by his wife Zofia. He will be sadly missed by his daughters Valinka, Krystina and Yolanda. At Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday, May 1, 2005 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Caroline. Father of Walter and Lorrie Harvie, Susan and Alan Luscombe, Heather and Carvell Carde, Patricia Harvie, Peter and Mary-Kate Harvie, Paul and Belinda Harvie. Fondly remembered by 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. In memoriam, donations may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Suddenly at her residence on Sunday, May 1, 2005, in her 74th year. Loving and cherished wife of Doug. Dear mother of Lucretia and her husband John Ryder of Alberta, Jack and his wife Karen of Courtice, and Angela of Oshawa. Caring Grandma of Cain, Logan and Samantha Ryder, and James Krissa and Marshall Johnson. Margaret is survived by her brother John Lloyd and his wife Joyce of Scarborough and sister Edith Hamilton of Orono; sister-in-law Lynne Frasier and her husband Robert; and father-in-law William Krisa and his wife Bertie. She will be sadly missed by her friend Jean Jardine, her nieces, nephews, extended family, and other friends. Following cremation, a private family service will take place at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Asthma Society of Canada would be appreciated by her family and may be made through NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, (905) 987-3964, with whom arrangements have been entrusted.

Allan, beloved husband of the late Violet. Missed by Carolyn Gannon, Darlene Chevrier, Michael and Patrick and Todd Cochrane. Brother of Norman, Gordon, Irene Poudrier, and Jack (all deceased). A graveside service was held at the GROVESIDE Cemetery Friday 2pm. In memoriam donation may be made to the Charity of choice.

Beloved wife of Garry. In her 88th year. Passed away at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Wednesday August 3, 2005, surrounded by her loving family, including her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Predeceased by her husband Jack in 2000. Elsie is survived by her children Carol and Brian and their families. Visitation will take place at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Friday August 5, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday August 6, 2005 at 10 am. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery.
