McKINLEY, Alfred Allison
(Retired employee of General Motors Canada)
Died peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Centre with family by his side on Monday, October 30th, 2006 in his 67th year.
Beloved husband of Lynn McKinley.
Loving father of Tony, Tracey and Audra.
Cherished Grandfather of Leah, Ryan, Meagan, Ryan and Chelsea.
Stepfather of Annette, Mark and Jamie Smith.
Dear son of Annie McKinley and the late Rolston McKinley.
Brother of Bobby and his wife Glenda, Carl and his wife Audrey, Ardith McKinley and predeceased by his brother Ralph.
Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE, 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Friday, November 3rd from 12 Noon until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1:00 P.M.
Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

McQUINN, Chester Henry
Age 92 years.
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather on Sunday October 29th, 2006 at home surrounded by the love and prayers of his family.
He will be sorely missed by his wife of 70 years, Violet Ruth and his 4 children, sons James & Gloria, Al & Marg, daughter Bonita Walter and son Brian McQuinn.
Cherished grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 24, who will miss him greatly.
He was predeceased by one grandchild.
Dear brother of Edith Rumble and predeceased by his brother and 2 sisters.
He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville from 7-9 pm on Wednesday November 1st, 2006.
Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 11 am on Thursday, November 2nd, 2006.
Cremation.
Memorial Donations may be made to The Diabetic Association.

STAINTON, M. Katherine (nee Hain)
Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Sunday, October 29th, 2006 at the age of 77.
Daughter of the late John and Jessie Hain.
Beloved wife of Douglas for 57 years.
Dear mother of Marci Stainton, Dianne Nielsen (Bjorn), Joan Homewood (Craig) and John Stainton (Dawn).
Loving Grandma of Serina and Caitlin Nielsen, Michael and Thomas Homewood and Adrienne Stainton.
Sister of Norman and the late John Hain. Sister-in-law of Beverly Hain, Jessie, Stewart (Marion) and Bob (Mary) Stainton.

Peacefully on Saturday, October 28th, 2006 at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa in his 93rd year.
Dearly beloved husband of the late Sadie (Babe) for 61 years.
Loving father of Phyllis Catalano and her husband Joseph of Oshawa and Eleanor Clouter and her husband Maynard of St. John's, Newfoundland.
Dear grandpa of Alan Catalano and his wife Penny, Deanna Swift and her husband Peter, Matthew Catalano, Jennifer Newhook and her husband Barry, and Jonathan Clouter.
Great-grandpa of Brenna and Shannon Swift, Emily and Amy Catalano and Max Newhook.
Jim will be fondly remembered by his sister Jean Weir and her husband John.

DEMOOR, Brenda Joanne
Suddenly, on Saturday, October 28, 2006.
Brenda, in her 40th year.
Mother of Calvin, Christine, and Daniel Terpstra, all of Wellington, ON, and Samantha Keeble of Brockville, ON.
Sister to Rick DeMoor of Trenton, Jenny and husband Jimi Hooper of Pontypool, Sabrina DeMoor of Oshawa and Patricia and her husband Joseph Issa of Tulsa, OK.
Daughter of the late Dick and Trudy DeMoor.
Remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will be received at the ZION CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 409 Adelaide Ave. E., (at Central Park Blvd. N.) Oshawa, on Friday, November 3, 2006 from
1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
Arrangements entrusted to McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558).

HARVEY, Peter Andrew Thomas
Died October 28, 2006 at Rouge Valley Health Centre in Ajax at the age of 78.
Many thanks for the gentle and caring treatment he received from the nurses and the amazing Dr. Carmen Price.
His family bids a loving goodbye - Beryl, his wife of 56 years; his daughter, Kay Pritchard and her husband Ray of South Carolina and their boys Lee and Kirt; his daughter Jill Smith and her husband John and her kids Jennifer, Sean, and Cassandra; his sister Connie and family in St. Petersburg, Florida and Hamilton Ontario; his brother Jack and family in Workingham, England.
He will be sorely missed by all the friends in the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Ajax, Pickering, Scarborough and Griffin, Georgia whom he loved so well.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 4, at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at the corner of Finch and Liverpool in Pickering.
All are welcome.

Aged 82 years.
Peacefully at Sunnycrest Nursing Home, Whitby on Saturday, October 28th, 2006.
Beloved wife of the late Bob Mitchell.

SOSNA, Alexander
Passed away peacefully at Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre, Toronto on Saturday, October 28, 2006.
Alexander at the age of 92 years.
Beloved husband of the late Wanda Sosna.
Dear father of Alexander Sosna and his wife Arlene and Irene Palmay and her husband Frank.
He will be truly missed by his grandchildren, Christine Palmay, Daniel Sosna, Lesley Palmay, Ryan Sosna, Andrea Palmay and Andrew Sosna.
Alexander was born in the south of Ukraine in Aksani Nova region, September 12, 1914 to his parents Trochim and Maria Sosna.
He studied in Kiev, and worked as an Agronomist in the Poltava area of Ukraine.
He married his loving wife Wanda Rieling in Germany, in May of 1947.
He was very actively involved in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Oshawa as well as many Ukrainian organizations.
Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, with funeral service in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 10 a.m.
Interment Thornton Cemetery.
Panachyda will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial donations to the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre, Toronto would be appreciated.
Visitation Monday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m.
