STARLING, Earl Robert
Passed away peacefully at his home on December 22, 2006 at the age of 65. Beloved husband to Christine. Faithful companion to Papi. Dear father of Grant and father in law of Alexis. Proud grandfather of Luke and Blake. Fondly remembered by brother William and his wife Shirley, extended family Debbie, Steve, Stephanie and Samantha and employees Ken, Jimmy, Leah, Jay, Martyn and Elaine. Owner of Starling Pools Ltd. of Whitby for over 30 years. A dear friend to all who knew him. Resting at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, (110 Dundas Street East, Whitby 905-668-3410) Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and Thursday 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m.. A celebration in honor of Earl Starling will take place after the funeral at Starling Pools Ltd., 1645 Dundas Street West, Whitby. In memoriam, donations may be made to the Charity of choice. Sadly missed in our hearts Never to be forgotten

STOCKTON, William Edward
Passed away peacefully on December 22, 2006 at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa at the age of 87. Beloved husband of nearly 61 years to Marion. Dear father of Sheila (Siegfried Blum) and Heather. Loving grandfather of Matthew and Kristen Wood. Bill was a flying officer in the RCAF during WWII and was able to enjoy retired life for 26 years after leaving Somerville Industries as controller of their packaging divisions. At Bill's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements entrusted to W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, (110 Dundas Street East, Whitby 905-668-3410) Cremation with interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Brantford. Donations in his memory may be made to the Palliative Care department c/o the Oshawa Hospital Foundation or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. A special thanks from Bill's family goes out to Dr. Laurie Wherrett and the wonderful, caring nurses of CCU and 7M.

WRAGG, Ronald
December 25, 1915 - December 22, 2006
Ronald Wragg was born in Quebec, in 1915. His family settled in Oshawa, soon after he was born. He is a veteran of Canada's R.C.A.F., serving in Saskatchewan, and British Columbia, with the Commonwealth pilot training program. Ronald is predeceased by his wife Helen and his sister, Gladys. He is survived by his brothers, Lawrence, Dave and Gord, his sons, Don and Steve and his grandchildren, Brent and Normandie. He will be remembered as a warm and loving character and a religious man. A Memorial Service for Ronald will be forthcoming.

CATHERWOOD, Delbert Goldwyn
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, December 21, 2006 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy for 70 years. Loving father of Ken and his wife Beth, Neil and his wife Betty; and grandchildren Brian and his wife Tracy, Barry and his wife Tara, Melinda, and Nicole (who predeceased her grandfather) and her husband Antoine. Sadly missed by six great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge, and past master of the David T. Campbell lodge in Whitby. He influenced countless lives as a well respected teacher and principal of 41 years throughout Durham Region. Predeceased by brothers Eldred and Sherwood. Friends and family may call at The ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, (905-433-4711) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Interment Uxbridge Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Ontario and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

CLEMANCE, Cyril Robson "Clem"
Peacefully, on Thursday, December 21, 2006, at his home in the Village of Taunton Mills in Whitby, at age 86. Clem Clemance, beloved husband of the late Ruby (nee Scott). Loved father of Gail Bennett of Brampton, Michael Clemance and his wife Susan of Mississauga, and Jill and her husband Richard Bates of Port Perry. Loving grandfather of Mark, Melanie, Matthew, Michael, Christopher, Melissa, Amanda and Jenny, and great-grandfather of Nicholas, Andrew and James. Survived by his sister Ruth McCallum of Ailsa Craig and predeceased by his brother Robert Clemance. The family of Clem Clemance received friends at the Port Perry United Church, 294 Queen Street (at Simcoe Street) in Port Perry on Saturday, December 23rd from 10 - 11 a.m. A Service to celebrate his life was held in the Church at 11 a.m. with Reverend Nancy Monteith officiating. Private interment Glendale Memorial Gardens, Rexdale. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque through the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Port Perry United Church Memorial Fund.

MALONE, Lorena Anna
Retired School Teacher, Durham Separate School Board.
Peacefully, at her home in Oshawa, on Thursday, December 21, 2006, Lorena (nee Hanley), in her 85th year. Dearly beloved wife of Daniel for 60 years. Loving mother of Theresa and husband David Meier, Kevin Malone, Mary Malone, Danny and wife Valerie Malone. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Scott and Matthew Meier, Alicha, Melissa and John Malone. Survived by her sister Florence Mortimer, brother Gerald Hanley and predeceased by Claude Hanley. Relatives and friends will be received at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral Mass St. Mary of the People Church, 570 Marion Ave., Oshawa, on Saturday, December 23 at 1 p.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Peacefully at Toronto Western Hospital on Thursday, December 21st, 2006 in her 79th year. Survived by her children, son John and his wife Cindy; and her daughter Andrea. Grandmother of Samantha. Dear sister of Edna Logie, Rupert Williams, Desmond Williams, Winston Williams, Earl Williams, Pearl Wiltshire, Roosevelt Williams and the late Sydney Williams. Friends may call at CHRIST MEMORIAL ANGLICAN CHURCH (81 Hillcroft St., Oshawa) for visitation on Friday, December 29th from 12:30 P.M. until time of Funeral Service at 1:30 P.M. PROCTOR, Cynthia Patricia 'Cindy'
Peacefully on Thursday, December 21, 2006 in Oshawa at the age of 49. Cindy, beloved daughter of the late Herbert and Dorothy (nee Petre) Proctor. Loving sister of Betty and her husband Bob Russell, Ronald Proctor and his wife Helen, Doreen and her husband George Hubbard, Marlene and her husband George Hess, Diane and her husband Richard Branton, Lynda and her husband Doug Laverty, Beverly and her husband Walter Copetti, and the late William Proctor and his wife Fern Proctor. Cindy will be deeply missed by her life long best friend Barbara Colquhoun. Lovingly remembered by many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. A private family funeral was held. Suddenly at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Thursday, December 21st, 2006, Milton Thompson in his 51st year. Beloved son of Mrs. Mary Thompson and the late Alfred (Fred) Thompson. Dear father of Andrew, Taylor and Jamieson. Lovingly remembered by his 6 sisters, Elizabeth Henderson, Wendy Fallis, Beverley Byrski, Karen Arscott, Joanne Love and Joyce Parkinson. Peacefully at Ajax-Pickering Hospital on Wednesday, December 20th, 2006. Beloved wife of Dan McPhee. Loving mother of Daniel Prince and his wife Christina; Colleen and her husband Keith Buker and Amy and her husband Chris Saksons. Cherished Gramma of Tiana, Melissa, Michelle and Ethan. She will be sadly missed by her family and her many life-long friends. Memorial Visitation will take place at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Friday, December 22nd, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at ST. JOSEPH'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, Bowmanville on Saturday, December 23rd, 2006 at 11 am.
