HOLTRUST, Matje
Peacefully at her home in Uxbridge on Monday, December 18, 2006 at 80 years old. Matje, beloved wife of Hendrikus. They had just celebrated their 60th anniversary on December 13, 2006. Greatly missed by her children Harmina (Allan) Yake, Kees (Lynne) Holtrust, Grietje (Randy) Mercer, Berend Jan (Sherry) Holtrust, Hendrikus (Susan) Holtrust, Martin (Patty) Holtrust, Lori Lynn (Chris) Van Kessel, Robert Egbert (Janet) Holtrust. Fondly remembered by 18 grandchildren (Tara Marie deceased) and 6 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brother Kobus (Lena) and sister Jantje (Jan deceased) of the Netherlands, predeceased by Tuenis, Harm (predeceased Koba), Albert (Grietje), and Barend (Jantje). In Matje's memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

MAY, Doris Elizabeth (nee Ruston)
Passed away peacefully at her home in Port Perry on Monday, December 18th, 2006 at the age of 71. Loving and devoted wife of John May. Beloved mother of Lezlie Hamilton (Bob) of Oshawa, Derek May (Karen) of Scarborough, Carey May (Agnes) of Pickering and the late Troy May (Lori). Cherished Nana of Tricia Bentley (Gord), Mike Hamilton, John, Crystal, Kyle, Sean, Samantha, Alex, Jamie and Connor May. Great Nana of Brianna, Nicole, Kiara and Jaeran. Doris will be sadly missed by her sister Winnifred Warren (Frank) of Scarborough and her brother George Ruston (Bonnie) of Sarnia. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and many friends. A heart-felt thank you to our VHA Palliative Care nursing team (Val, Rita, Lauren and Karen) and special thank you to Dr. Robert Paulovic. A Celebration of Doris's life will be held at THORNTON CEMETERY CHAPEL, 1200 Thornton Rd. on Saturday, December 23rd at 12 Noon. Friends will be received for visitation from 11:00 A.M. until time of Service. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. DANFORTH, Harold David
Suddenly on Sunday, December 17, 2006 at his home in Oshawa in his 67th year. Harold, beloved father of Laurrie Danforth, Kent Danforth and his wife Yvonne, and Todd Danforth and his wife Sharon. Loved Grandpa of Kristopher, Nadia, Brandon, Justin, Nathaniel, Grace, and Jacobson. Sadly missed by his brother and sisters, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street east, Oshawa, (905-433-4711) on Thursday, December 21st at 1pm, with visiting from 12 noon. Interment in Brampton Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

FOREMAN, Lesley Ann
Aged 59 years passed away at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on December 17, 2006 after a valiant 5 year battle with cancer. Dearly loved by best friend and husband Guy. She was adored and will be deeply missed by her step children Bradley and Kimberley, and daughters-in-law Andrea Cowling and Stephanie Paraskevopulos. Cherished by her sister-in-law Lynn Foreman, Lynn's son Guy, his wife Nina, and their three children whom she loved like grandchildren, Kenny, Angela and Ashley Lewicki. Survived by her loving father Lewis Overton, sister Lindsay Byrd, niece Amanda, nephews Lance and Nick. Family and friends may call at the MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE & CHAPEL, (21 Garrard Rd., Whitby) 905-665-0600 on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Chapel Service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens. If so desired, donations to the Toronto Ovarian Cancer Research Network or the Hospital for Sick Children would be greatly appreciated.

FERTILE, John Francis
On December 18, 2006 he succumbed to an illness with very little suffering. at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Frankie. Loving father of Ted, Jim and Linda, Gene and Debbie, Dan and Sheilagh, Michael and Maureen. Gramps to 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers Bill, Harvey, Ross and Norman. A celebration of his life will be held at South Meade Park (107 Kawrtha Ave., Oshawa) on December 29, 2006 at 8:00 p.m..

Cherished grandfather of Katie, Robert & Richard. Visitation will take place in our Chapel at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street N. Bowmanville, on Wednesday, December 20th 2006 from 10 - 11 am with service at 11 am. Cremation. LUMMISS, James William
James William of Uxbridge, passed away December 17th, 2006 at Lakeridge Health (Oshawa) at the age of 84, with his family by his side. He is survived by his devoted wife Betty. Sadly missed by sons Dennis (Merna), James (Charmaine), Douglas (Wilma), and brother Charles. He was predeceased by daughter Betty Ann and son Gerry (Carol), brother Frank and sister Lola. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service to be held at Sandford United Church, 405 Sandford Road, Sandford, Ontario on January 20th, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes, Heart and Stroke Foundations, or Charity of choice.

ROWDEN, Eileen (nee McGee)
After a long and full life, Eileen passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Sunday, December 17th, 2006 in her 85th year. Loving mother of Marilyn Pringle (Don) and the late Jim Rowden (Chris). Dear Nana of Lynne Jefferson (Richard), Laurie Kelly, Dianne Pringle, Curt Rowden (Keli) and Adam and Brook Rowden. Great Nana of Alex and Alannah Kelly and Marina, Melanie, Timothy and Tessa Jefferson. Fondly remembered by her sister Doreen and her nephew Bob Duffield (Karen). Eileen is predeceased by her sisters Vergie Weatherbee and Bernice Duffield and her brother Glen McGee. A special thank you to the staff at the Oncology Wing at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa for your caring and kindness. Dear mother of Irene Underhill and her husband Don Fralick of Barrie, and Marlene and her husband Donald Davis of Don Mills. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kathy, Terry, Penny, Debbie and her great- grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother James Lodge of the U.S.A. and her sister Sophie Doxsee of Toronto. After a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Community Nursing Home, Pickering in his 82nd year. Lloyd, beloved husband of Lois. Loving father of Linda Kennedy and her husband Dave, and Pauline Peacocke. Dear grandfather of Lee, Kristiane, Erica, and great- grandfather of Emma and Bethany. Survived by his brothers Emerson Peel, Gordon Peel, and by his sister Leone Kellett. Predeceased by his sister Olive Jackson. Fondly remembered by his many other family members and dear friends. The family will receive friends at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby (905-668- 3410) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Monday.
