Passed away after a lengthy illness with cancer at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa, on December 4th, 2006 in his 69th year. Loving husband to Jackie. Fondly remembered by his daughter Kim (Peter) Falk. Big Grandpa to Daniel and Derek. Devoted step son Darryl (Shelley) Taylor. Grandpa Lenny to Corey, Meghan and Brandon. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for a Memorial Visitation on Wednesday, December 6th from 6 - 8 P.M. Family service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Charity of your choice.

It is with deep sadness that our family announces Doug's passing on December 4th, 2006. Doug was born in Chatham, Ontario on October 25th, 1935; the only child of Harold and Madeline Ronson. Beloved and devoted husband of Linda (nee Clark). Proud and loving father of David and his wife Karen of Peterborough, Bruce of Oshawa and Donna of Courtice. Fun-loving Grandpa of Sarah, Mackenzie, Melody and Timothy. Special foster dad to Priscilla Balint. Doug will be missed by his many relatives, friends and business associates. Beloved wife of the late Leo J. Burnett. Loving sister of Sophie Van Allen and her late husband Mack, the late John Porayko and his wife Eileen, Irene Ross and her husband Doug, Paul and Robert Porayko and the late Gary Porayko and his wife Sandra. Olga is predeceased by her parents Peter and Mary Porayko. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. KUHN, Bernold (Veteran: RCAF)
Peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at Hamilton General Hospital in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Edeltraud for 42 years. Loving father of Markus (Tammy) and Caroline (Scott). Cherished "Opa" to Brendan, Glen and Simon. Bernold is survived by his brothers; Herman and Dietmar (Darlene); his sister Gertrud; brothers-in-law Manfred (Marliese), Ralf (Beatrixe), Harald (Jenny); sister-in-law Melitta (Rene). He will be sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends both here in Canada and Germany. Bernold served in the RCAF with immense pride from 1958 until the time of his honourable discharge in 1973. Upon leaving the military, Bernold joined Ontario Hydro where he remained until his retirement in 2005. Guests will be received at MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby (just north of Hwy 2) on Friday, December 8th from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, December 9th at 10 am. Interment Fairview Cemetery in Acton, ON. In lieu of flowers donations in Bernold's memory may be directed to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

MALACHOWSKI, Helen Theresa (Rudka)
Peacefully on December 3, 2006 after a courageous battle at Lakeridge - Oshawa with her dear family keeping vigil. Predeceased by the love of her life Jacob, her devoted husband of over 62 years. Loving mother, mother-in-law, 'Bobbi' and great-grandmother to Jacqueline and Ross Peers; Christopher, Brent and Tyler; to Edward and Eva; Lori and Diego Najera; Rob and Cindy Stuart, Jayden and Sydney; to Reginald and Sandra; Karen Hope, Taylor and Regan; Ron, Jake and Sarah; Nancy; Sheila and Mike Carey, Jordan and Dana; Jo-Ann and Charles Long, Brianna and Carlyn. Born in Oshawa, December 24, 1919, Helen was a life-long member of St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church. She contributed to the continuation of Ukrainian culture in Oshawa through various civil-minded endeavours. She was an astute business woman from the 1940's to the time of her passing. Helen received an Ontario Volunteer Service Award and the Queen's Golden Jubilee Award in recognition of outstanding service in the community. She dearly loved her family, her travels with Jake, their friends, her hobbies and living life to the fullest. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors on 4th Main - your caring professionalism was invaluable. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St. W., for visitation Tuesday, December 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Divine Liturgy of Burial at the Chapel on Wednesday, December 6, 11:00 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. SANDERSON, Mary Jane
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Jane Sanderson on December 3rd, 2006 in Destin, Florida. Born in London, Ontario on July 21st, 1938. Predeceased by her parents Gladys and Jack Sanderson. She enjoyed a successful career for many years teaching in the Public Elementary Schools in Oshawa. She will be missed by many friends and colleagues. A gathering to celebrate Mary Jane's life will be held in the Heritage Room at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) on Saturday, January 13th from 2 - 4 P.M. Memorial donations to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
