(Veteran W.W.II, 2nd Division Signals, Fourth Infantry Brigade)
At Lakeridge Health Corp., Oshawa, on Saturday, December 2, 2006. Charles, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Joyce Flood (nee Jupp). Dear father of the late Patricia Jarvis and Michael Flood. Survived by his son-in-law George Jarvis. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Jason, David and Michael Jarvis. Dear brother of Lorna Miller, Helen De'Bann, James Flood and his wife Delores, and the late Claude and Frederick Flood. Relatives and friends will be received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Thursday, December 7, 2006, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Carthagh's Cemetery, Tweed, ON. Donations made in memory of Charles to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his family.

At his residence, in Oshawa, on Saturday, December 2, 2006. John O'Neil, at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Vivian. Loved son of Anelia and the late Francis. Loving father of Karry (Dave Carswell) of Kitchener and Phyllis (Bob Lazurko) of Oshawa. Special Poppy to Matthew, Jessica, Rebecca, Rachel and Ariel. Dear brother of Frank, of Oshawa; Errol, Carroll, Gerard, David, Marlene, Joanne and Mary, all of Nova Scotia. Special uncle to Darren. Resting at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice, 905-432-8484 (corner of Sandringham Dr. and Highway #2). A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, December 5 at 12:30 p.m. The family of John will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation would be appreciated.

SAWDON, Charles 'Chuck'
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2nd, 2006 with his devoted wife Annie by his side. Chuck will be fondly remembered by his daughter Heather husband Ian, grandchildren Ian, Meaghan, Kayla, and Owen, as well as his daughter Kim her husband Rob, grandchildren Keifer, Kennedy, Blake, and son Terry and his wife Sylvie. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) for visitation on Monday, December 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH, 903 Gifford St., Whitby on Tuesday, November 5th at 10:00 A.M. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

SMITH, June (nee Randell)
Peacefully at her home at Bay Ridges Long Term Care Center on December 2, 2006. She was born in Milton, Ontario in 1922 but lived much of her life in Toronto, then in Whitby with her husband Mac who preceded her in death in 2001. They were married for almost 60 years. She is survived by her children Susan and Neil (Peter), her son-in-law Peter Wright and her grandchildren Graham and Lindsay. A Memorial Service will be held at Bay Ridges Long Term Care Center 900 Sandy Beach Road in Pickering on December 15, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.. Memorial donations may be made to a Charity of your choice.

SCHOFIELD, Norman
Peacefully passed away on December 2, 2006 in his 100th year. Beloved husband of the late Gertrude. Loving father of Joan (Barrie Glentworth) and Jill (Edward Jervis). Cherished grandfather to Gordon, David, Greg, Michael, Jeffrey and Lisa. Also great-grandfather to Jasmin and Thomas. Dear brother of Irene Dunning. SCHOON, Harmen (Harry)
August 30, 1949 - December 2, 2006; 30 year employee at General Motors)
After a short courageous battle with cancer, Harry passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on December 2, 2006. Loving father of Keith (Jill), David (Sarah) and Steven. He will be missed by Ann, mother of Keith, David and Steven. Dear brother of Jack (Linda), Tena DeWolde (Morris), Richard (Jackie) and Spike (Marina). Beloved partner of Halyna Koba. Predeceased by his daughter Teresa Ann and by his parents Berend and Elisabeth Schoon. Harry was actively involved in the local community and many historical societies, clubs and organizations. Sadly missed by nieces, nephews, family, co-workers and dog Rusty. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with funeral service in the Chapel on Friday, December 8, 2006 at 1 p.m. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Brain Tumour Foundation or the Oshawa Historical Society would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m.

Peacefully on December 2, 2006, after a battle against cancer, Roy, in his 84th year. Lovingly remembered by his adopted family Patricia and Wallace Moore and their family David Moore and his wife Anita, James Moore, Gary Moore, William Moore and his wife Melodie, and Barry Moore and his wife Penny. Special uncle of Ashley and Holly. Remembered by his sister-in-law Audrey and her sons Derek and Brian. Family and friends will be received at the Uxbridge Baptist Church, 231 Brock Street West for visitation on Monday, December 4, 2006 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at the Uxbridge Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment Kendall Cemetery, Utica. In Lucille's memory, memorial donations may be made to the Uxbridge Baptist Church Memorial Fund or the Gideons.

At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Friday, December 1, 2006, in her 64th year. Jean, loving wife of John of Newcastle. Dear mother of Debbie Perron and her husband Alain of Ottawa, John Fuoco of Gatineau, Quebec, Dr. Paul Deneault and his wife Dr. Jasmin Deneault of Denver, Colorado, and the late Michael Deneault. Sadly missed by many grandchildren. Sister of Ruth Patterson and her husband Sam of Newcastle, and Pauline Toms and her husband Bill of Bobcaygeon. Very proud Grandpa of Luke and Kaylah Lewis; Jesse, Rosie and Emmy Dell; Jennifer and Christopher Lewis; Opal, Danny and Sophie Lewis. Great-grandpa of Emily Cohen. NOBLE, Georgina Mae
Peacefully at the Uxbridge cottage Hospital on Friday, December 1, 2006 at the age of 92. Mae, beloved wife of Edwin (Ed) Noble and predeceased by her first husband Arthur Forsyth. Loving mother of Marlene and her husband Doug Bradley, Foster son Bruce McQuarrie and his wife Lynda, predeceased by her son Grant Forsyth, step mother to Betty (Rae) Johnson, Grant Noble, Mary (Neil) Irwin, John (Pamela) Noble. She will be missed by grandchildren Kimberley Jennings, Stephen Bradley and his wife Andrea, great-grandchildren Alex, Cameron, Ian and Mia Jennings also Laura Bradley and her 7 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Kay Whyte of California. Predeceased by her brothers George England, Vincent (Mike) England, and Lou England and sister Mary Everett. In Mae's memory donations may be made to Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.
