Loving mother of Chris and his wife Cathy, Tim and his wife Kimberly, Phillip and his wife Dorie-Anna and Sheri and her husband Bob. Dear grandmother of Erica, Lindsay, Jesse, Sherry, Tommy, Donald, Brandon and great-grandmother to Taylin, Emma, Ben and William. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. Memorial service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, November 30th, 2006 at 11am. Inurnment to follow service at Thornton Cemetery. JAMES, Terry
Terry James, the greatest husband and father one could ever wish for, died peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2006, surrounded in love from his family and friends, in his 69th year. Terry was a devoted and loving husband to Marie for 24 years, an exceptional father to Brian, Theresa, and Joy, and fun-loving grandfather to Erin, Katelyn, and Stephanie. Terry was predeceased by his parents Jessica and Albert, sisters Gladys and Karen, and brother Raymond. He is survived by his brothers Albert, Roy, George, Gord, and Reggie. Terry was also blessed with a number of terrific nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and watched grow up with great pride. An avid volunteer, Terry belonged to and assisted many community organizations, with Civitan International and the Durham Senior Games, his two greatest passions. Terry's zest for life, sense of humour, and endless energy in organizing special projects amazed all who knew him and this is what we will remember most about him. The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors at Centenary Hospital and love to the nurses, physio, and support staff who took care of Terry during his time there, especially Lois, Wanda, Scott, and Pam West. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church (1148 Finch Ave., Pickering).
