LANA, Carlos "Chuck"
1969-2006
"Be wise my son, and make my heart rejoice, that I may make a reply to him that is taunting me". (Prov 27:11)
The above Bible verse was not only your favourite but it also served as an inspiration and guide as you put your complete trust in our Almighty Father Jehovah God, thereby living this life in harmony with His will. Upon learning the truth from the Bible, you wasted no time in zealously sharing such precious truth with friends, relatives, co-workers and other people on how God's Kingdom (Mat. 6:10) will soon bring about the wonderful, blessings to mankind - "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain anymore. The former things have passed away". (Rev. 21:4). Three days before you died, we learned that you had even discussed with some of your friends what the Bible says about the condition of the dead, telling them that the dead "they are conscious of nothing at all" and death is likened to sleep. (Eccl. 9:5, Ps. 13:3). Yes Chuck, you were right - you are just sleeping now in death and one day we will see you waking up (resurrection) from your deep sleep (John 5:28-29) to tightly hug you again and welcome you back in the new Paradise on earth. (2 Pet 3:13). We are all saddened and heartbroken by your sudden death but we take great hope and comfort in the knowledge that Jehovah God will resurrect all his loyal servants in due time. We will always miss you Chuck, and remember your loving ways "how could I ever forget that last moment we shared when, you wouldn't even want me to get out of bed so I could see you off, fearing that might disturb my sleep." - Maureen (wife). He is survived by his wife Maureen, parents Rogelio and Ofelia Lana, brothers Robert and Miguel, and sister Michelle. The Memorial Service will be held at Kingdom Hall (Jehovah's Witnesses) 1302 Finch Ave., Pickering (N.E. corner of Finch and Liverpool) on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.
