Dear mother of Stephen Dixon and his wife Sherry, Mark Dixon and his wife Dori and the late Caroll Anne. Dear sister of James Pearce and his wife Betty and John Pearce and his wife Marguerite. She will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends. Mary was a volunteer at Oshawa General Hospital for 9 years and Hillsdale Manor for many years. Devoted usher of St. Hedwig's, proud member of the Knights of Columbus and retired General Motors employee after 18 years of service. Beloved husband of Helena for 47 years. Devoted father of Krystyna and her husband Joe Lia, Elizabeth and her husband David Roy and proud grandfather (dzia dzia) of Alexander, Katherine and Joseph. Dear brother of Krystyna (Edward) Maciejewski, Pelagia (Ted) Wysocki and the late Czeslawa Dobrolecki. He will be truly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends in Canada and Poland. THOMPSON, W. Clayton
Wilfred Clayton Thompson (Clay) passed away on Tuesday, September 19th, 2006 at Centennial Place, Millbrook, Ontario. Clay was born November 8, 1922 in Prince Edward County. He was the son of Perry Thompson and Myrtle Carson. Clay was the beloved husband and best friend to his wife, Audrey Zelma Jean (Wannamaker); father to Diann (Trevor)Butt, of Ennismore, Gail (Gordon) Moorhouse, Cambridge, Roger Thompson, Edmonton, AB and Meribeth (Neno Cappadocio) Thompson. Clay is predeceased by his beautiful daughter Meribeth, January 2006. Grandfather to Rachel, Darren, Jillian, Douglas, Scott, Melanie, Alicia, Kelly and Vanessa. Brother to Ralph (Betty) Thompson and Jean Ashman, both of Belleville. He is predeceased by his brothers, Freeman, Roy and Ken. Clay's greatest stories centered around the time he was a Spitfire Pilot in the RCAF and his career as a State Farm Insurance Agent. He loved his job, especially the relationships he built with his clients while carrying out his work. His children say that the greatest gift their father gave them was to be thankful and to see the Glass as being Half Full. Clay is resting at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King Street East, Oshawa, (905-433-5558). Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m.and Thursday, September 21, 2006 from 10:00 a.m.until the time of service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Clay's final resting place will be with his family at the family grave site in Sterling Ontario. Donations made in memory of Clay to the Alzheimer Society or Trinity Pentecostal Mission Fund would be appreciated by his family.
