WILSON, Cecil
Peacefully passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on August 26, 2006 at the Oshawa General Hospital in his 78th year with loved ones present. Beloved and devoted husband of Lillian for 52 years. Loving father of Haley and her husband Kevin Wilson, Blake and Craig. Cherished tappy of Jessica and Ryan. Dear brother of Vincent and Raymond of Hillsborough, N.B. Cecil will be sadly missed by Jack, Ripper and Bear. He is up jamming with the country music greats. The family would like to extend their utmost thanks to the nursing staff on 3F. Funeral service has taken place at Mount Lawn Reception Centre, (905) 665-0600 on August 28, 2006. Interment: Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

HENDERSON, Wilson Vernon
(retired employee of Ontario Hydro)
At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, August 25, 2006, in his 57th year. Wilson, loving son of Carmel and the late Vernon Henderson of Newcastle, N.B. Father of Stacey Leigh and her husband Mike Dupont of Calgary and Derek of Port Perry. Grandfather of Hailey. Brother of Brent and his wife Ellen of Lower Queensbury, N.B., Bernadette and her husband Ken Lamont of Calgary, Alberta, Shawn and his wife Nancy of Surrey, B.C., and the late Robert and Connie. Uncle of Cinda. Wilson will also be sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbours. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. (just north of 401 at the lights) on Monday, August 28, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with prayers at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held in ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, Newcastle, on Tuesday, August 29, at 11:00 a.m. Cremation. Donations in Wilson's memory to St. Francis of Assisi Church, Children's Liturgy Fund, would be greatly appreciated.

MILLSON, John Edward "Ted"
At Strathaven Lifecare Centre on Friday, August 25, 2006 in his 67th year. Ted, dear son of the late Alfred "Spec" and Mary (Lyle) Millson and stepson of Margaret (Peggy). Loved brother of Gordon and Barbara, Donald and Brenda, Thomas and Gail, Lyle and Patricia, Marie and Leslie (Goble), Gary and Patti, Steven and Cindy, Karen and Brian (Terry), and the late Marylou Wolfe. Step-brother of Delores Stubbs and the late Wayne Marchant. Loving Uncle of 30 nieces and nephews and 44 great nieces and nephews. Friends may pay their respect at the MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4 Division St., Bowmanville on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service in the MORRIS CHAPEL on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Donations in Ted's memory to the Strathaven Lifecare Centre would be gratefully appreciated.

PANKHURST, Benjamin Edward
After a long and determined battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, Ben, 83, died peacefully at Hillsdale Manor on August 25, 2006. Devoted husband of Barbara (Moore) and first-born son of the late Edward and Dora Pankhurst, Ben was also the loving father of seven, grandfather of 12, and is a veteran of World War II having served in the Royal Canadian Navy. Ben will be greatly missed by his children: Susan and Gary Dodsley; Ben and Deborah (Micheli); Janet Weatherbe and husband, Richard (deceased); Joan and Michael Atkins; MaryAnne and John Donnet; Robert and Robin (Reed); and Patti-Rose and Richard Hopff; as well as by his grandchildren: David, Lisa, Abraam, Matthew, Georgia Lynne, Michael James, Alan, Reed, William, Philip and Brittany. Ben joins his grandson, Daniel Dodsley, in heaven. Ben is survived by his brother, Michael (and Linda), his sister, Theresa (and Bill Coder), and sister-in-law, Mary-Ann Pankhurst. Visitation was held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel", 847 King Street West (905-721- 1234), on Monday, August 28th from 2 - 4 P.M. and 7 - 9 P.M. Funeral Mass was held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH (570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa) on Tuesday, August 29th at 10:30 A.M. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Society or Charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.

Peacefully at Hillsdale Terraces, Oshawa, on Thursday, August 24, 2006. Mabel Anderson in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Anderson. Dear mother of Carol, Glenn & Susan, Dale (predeceased) & Gail, and Larry & Louise. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Mackenzie, John, Colleen, Devon, Shayline, Danielle, Tracy, Dawn and great-grandchildren Joey and Josh. A memorial service will take place at a later date. On Thursday, August 24, 2006 at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, in his 79th year. Lost his long battle with cancer. Dear husband of Marjorie (nee Brown) of 56 years. Beloved father of Diane England and husband, Arlie Brayman of Garden Hill, and Wayne Bolton of Sunderland, Ontario. Loving grandfather of Cindy England and companion, Johan Osterstrom of Sweden. Garner is survived by brothers and sisters Earl, Tressie, Norris, Albert, Blanche and Clifford.

Loving grandmother of Barbara, Perry, Cheryl, Danny and Linda all of Picton, Cindy of Seagrave, Karen of Oshawa, Dianne of Cobourg, John (deceased), and Dan and Jim of Oshawa. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren. Survived by Gordon Smith of Toronto.
