After a lengthy illness at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, August 8, 2006, at the age of 68 years. Archie, beloved husband of Helen (Parrinder). Loving father of Carolyn, Larry, Mary, David, Thomas, Robert and Kevin. Dear grandfather of Sara, Michael, Andrew, Aymie, Danielle, Mitchell, Owen, Kyle, Chris, Tim and great-grandson, Anthony. Loved brother of Stanley Aldsworth. Friends may pay their respects at the MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4 Division Street, Bowmanville, on Friday, August 11, 2006 from 10 - 11 a.m. Funeral service to follow in the MORRIS CHAPEL at 11 a.m. Cremation at Bowmanville Crematorium. Donations to the Lung Association would be gratefully appreciated.

BLIZZARD, Dianne Linda
Died suddenly at home on Tuesday, August, 8, 2006 in her 54th year. Dearly loved wife of Frank. Loving mother of Tammy (Bruce Halle), Michael and Timothy. Eldest daughter of the late Gilbert and Margaret (nee Secord) Lamondin, Byng Inlet, ON. Sister of Warren and Glenna Lomondin, Wayne and Marilyn Lamondin, Donald and Susan Lamondin, Marlene and Danny Blizzard and Darlene Lamonday. Sister-in-Law of Reginald Blizzard, Doug and Dorothy Blizzard, and Pamela Bowles (Mark McElhinney). Always remembered by her many nieces and nephews and their children. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church (1001 Ravenscroft Rd. Ajax) at 10am. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Charity of choice would be appreciated.

Suddenly at home on Tuesday, August 8th, 2006, in his 45th year. Dearly beloved son of Charles and Shirley Durocher. Brother of Charles and his wife, Kim, Darryl and his wife, Lucia, Victoria and David and his wife, Carol. Uncle of Cindy (Forrest), Debbie, Darren, Jonathan, Gavin, Claire and Hope. Suddenly at home on Tuesday, August 8, 2006, at the age of 54. Will be lovingly remembered by wife, Lil Randell and family; Millie, Rick and Miranda Noseworthy, Darren and Jacob Randell, Tracy, Randy, Cassidy and Ethan Waterman. Also by brother and sisters, Loretta Boyle, Geneva Murray, Patricia Mah, Claudette Shannon, Sandy LeBlanc, Joanne Belliveau and the late Jeanette Wilson. Relatives and friends were received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558), on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. A service was held in the chapel on Friday, August 11, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Ocean View Cemetery, New Brunswick. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Christopher, Adam, Courtney and Peter. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Hedwig's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, August 11, 2006 at 10 a.m. Interment, Thornton Cemetery. RINES, Gloria Ruthine
Honorary Member of The Canadian Corp Unit #42; Member of The Navy Club, Oshawa. Peacefully after an ongoing illness, surrounded by her loving family at home on August 8, 2006. Gloria, in her 75th feisty and independent year, succumbed to her illness. Loving mother of Donald (Bev), Donna (John Harding), Dolly, Daniel John Cox-predeceased, and David Walter Cox-predeceased. Truly missed by all of her brothers and sisters, and by all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by her friends at the Canadian Corps. Friends and family will be received at The ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Thursday from 7-9pm. A service will be held in the chapel on Friday, August 11th at 1pm. Memorial donations in Gloria's memory to The Canadian Cancer Society or St. Elizabeth Health Care would be greatly appreciated by the family.

KISSNER, John William 'Jack'
Passed away peacefully on August 7, 2006 at Markham Stouffville Hospital in his 69th year. Loving husband of Sherley for 38 years. Cherished father of Mark of Vancouver, B.C., and Michelle of Mississauga. Brother of Marguerite, Molenda of Lakeland, Florida, and Joan (George Hric) of Kingsville. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 20th, 2006 at 1:30 pm at St. Timothy's Presbyterian Church (97 Burcher Ave., Ajax) with visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Reception to follow at the church. A service of committal will be held on August 22, 2006 at 2 pm at Grant Cemetery in Sombra Township in Lambton County, Ontario. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Timothy's Memorial Fund would be greatly appreciated.

MCCRACKEN, Edward Daniel "Ted"
Director of the Ontario Real Estate Board, Past President of the Durham Region Real Estate Board. Peacefully following a short, but courageous fight with cancer on Monday, August 7, 2006 at his home in Oshawa, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 63. Ted, beloved husband and best friend of Vickie McCracken (nee Hughes). Most loved father of Cathie Simpson and her husband, Jim, Kelly McCracken-Hoggan and her husband, Everton, and Sean McCracken and his wife, Susan. Cherished Grampa of Nicole, Alyssa, Kenda, Timothy, Bria, Tyler, Samantha, William, and Liam. Dear brother of Kathleen Dopp and her husband, Paul, and Ann Wolochatiuk and her husband, Walter. Son of the late Edward and Alice McCracken. Dear uncle of his loved nieces and nephews. Ted will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his beloved family, business associates and many special friends. PECK, Joan Marie
With deep sadness, we mourn the loss of Joan Marie Peck who passed away at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, on Monday, August 7, 2006. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Lillian (Cooper) Peck. Joan entered the Congregation of Notre Dame in 1949, and made Religious Profession in 1951 after which she taught in several schools throughout Cape Breton, and Oshawa, Ont. She was a graduate of St. F.X. in 1964 (BA -B. Ed) Joan also obtained her Master of Arts in Mathematics from Villanova University, Pa. Joan was fun-loving as many of her friends will remember - but Joan's special milieu was the classroom with students who loved her. She excelled in teaching Math and her patient kindness in explaining it made her students understand it, love it - and the one who taught it as well. Many former pupils will remember her strong passion for teaching, her carefree spirit and above all her loyalty to each of her students. Upon retiring after several years as an outstanding teacher, Joan continued to live in Oshawa, Ont. She is survived by her sister, Loretta (Don) Morrison, Oshawa, her brother, Danny California; Aunt Audrey (Cooper) Stephen, Vancouver; Aunt Betty Cooper, Cleveland, N.S. Also surviving is her niece, Marie (Eric) Lamers; nephews: Donald (Denise) Morrison, Jimmy (Pauline) Morrison, her grandnieces, Crystal, Meagan, Mallory, Michelle and Abbey, her grandnephews, Jason and Graham and her cousins who were always a very dominant part of Joan's life. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Mass of Christian Burial from St. Gertrude's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, August11, 2006 at 10:30a.m. Cremation. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations to St. Gertrude's Church Building Fund or the C.C.U. or the I.C.U. at Lakeridge Health Oshawa would be appreciated. SHAW, Angus
Of Oshawa passed away August 7th, 2006 at Rouge Valley Hospital in Ajax at the age of 86. Angus was born in Windsor, New Brunswick on October 5th, 1919. He was the son of the late Loreson & Beulah (Clark) Shaw. Oldest brother of Elva Brown, Velma Michaud both of Hartland, N.B., Claude Shaw of Juniper N.B., Floyd Shaw of Oakland N.B. and Jerry Shaw. And predeceased by his younger brothers Otis, Lorne, Elery, Paul and Clayton. Angus lived most of his life in Woodstock N.B. where he worked for the Government Garage for over 35 yrs. He was the devoted husband of the late Rosaline (Hansen) Shaw for 62 yrs. Loving Father of Keith (Jackie) Shaw of Alberta, Dorothy Saunders, Dalton (Shelley) Shaw and Dale (Duska) Shaw all of Oshawa, ON. And predeceased by his daughter Gail Shaw. Cherished Grandfather of Gail, Melanie, Grant, Dana, Marnie, Nathan, Nadine, Corey, Marcia, Camden, John and Jessica. Great-Grandfather of Alexandra, Bryce, Dylan, Mathew, Mason, Joshua and Preston. A private family service has taken place. One should die proudly when it's no longer possible to live proudly.
