BYERS, Robert Charles
At his residence on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the age of 73. Robert Byers, beloved husband of Lina. Loving father of Al Byers and his wife Kim, Dave Byers and his wife Pearl, Lisa Kapuscinski, Marie Goudey and her husband Darrell, and Mark Byers and his wife Judy. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Joel, Jordon and Jamie Byers; Kendra and Connor Goudey; Clayton and Kelena Kapuscinski; Colin Byers; and his great-grandchild Jaxon Byers. Dear brother of Charlie and Darlene Byers, and Ann and the late Lino Pantalleresco. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary Byers. Robert will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Resting at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484) where the family will receive friends on Friday, July 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 8:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, 3800 Courtice Road North, on Saturday, July 4th at 11 a.m. followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Oshawa Hospital Foundation-Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family.

MALLAIS, Aurelle "Red"
Peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the Ajax-Pickering Hospital. Beloved husband of Judy for 40 years. Loving father of Cheryl and her husband Don; Lisa and her husband Scott and his son Glen. Cherished Papa of Sarah, Jacob and Hannah. Red will also be sadly missed by his extended family and friends.

SMITH, Adam Michael (Squirt)
Passed away at Port Perry Hospital on Tuesday, June 30th, 2009 at age 29 after a valiant fight and now is at peace. Loving only son of Mike and Carole Smith of Scugog Island. Dear grandson of Donald and Eleanor Smith of Collingwood, and the late Don and Shirley Campbell of Oshawa as well as the late Molly MacRae. Much loved nephew of Doug and Alice, Debbie, Robbie and Jim, Sally and Robert, Andy and Lindis, Dave and Barb and Steve. Adam will be missed by his special Aunt Donna Huitema who provided constant love and support. Adam will also be remembered by his many friends and staff at Community Living Durham North. The family extend our heartfelt thanks to Community Living and their staff for their support over the years, as well as the Doctors and Nurses at Port Perry Hospital for their compassion and care extended to Squirt. Adam passed peacefully in the arms of Debbie and Donna, he now rests. Family and friends will be received at MEMORIAL CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby from 1;00 p.m. Monday (July 6th) until time of memorial service to follow in the chapel at 2 p.m. In memory of Adam, memorial donations to the Community Living Durham North would be appreciated by the family.

WOOLRIDGE, Roy Jr.
At Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Tuesday, June 30th, 2009 in his 35th year. Dearly beloved son of Roy and Roma Woolridge; brother, Tim and sister, Jen Sparks (Mike). Special uncle of Lila and Seth. Cherished grandson of Leonard and Melba Woolridge and Fred and Minnie Moores. Roy will be fondly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family from Participation House. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Sunday, July 5th from 2- 4 P.M. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, July 6th at 1:00 P.M. Interment to follow at Oshawa Union Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations to Participation House-Durham Region would be greatly appreciated.

ADAMSON, Thomas Dorman
Suddenly at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday, June 29th, 2009 in his 67th year. Tom, beloved husband of Viki Adamson. Dear father of Karen (James), Jen and Scott (Ashlee). Dear step father of Robert Coutts (Sharon), Heather Mirtl (Jay), Stephen Coutts and daughter-in-law Rachel Coutts. Loved grandfather of Kimberley, Daniel, Phoebe, Summer, Amy, Sophie, Todd, Cody, Breanna, Courtney, Caitlin, Analise, and Aaron. Brother of John Adamson, England and the late Ruby. Brother-in-law of Dianne & Robert Smith. Cousin of Sally Brown (Andrew). Also lovingly remembered by his many nieces, Nephews and their families. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King St. E., Oshawa on Saturday from 10 to 11 am. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, July 4th, 2009 at 11 am. Donations in memory of Tom to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Dear brother of the late Bryce jr. Brown and brother-in-law of John and Lloyd Stainton. Friends may pay their respects at the MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4 Division St., Bowmanville on Thursday from 2- 4 and 7- 9 p.m. Funeral service in the MORRIS CHAPEL on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby. Donations in Robert's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Oshawa Community Health Centre for the Dr. Bryce A. Brown Wellness Centre would be gratefully appreciated.

CLARKE, Everette
Avid golfer, Everette Clarke passed away on June 29th, 2009 doing what he loved best. Surrounded by friends and peers at Cedarhurst Golf and Country Club in Beaverton, his sun set while still in his prime at the age of 69. He lives on in his four children Dan, Steve, Geoff and Christy and grandchildren Kennedy, James, Lauren, Adam and Summer. His laughter and smile will be missed by wife Margaret, daughters-in-law Wendy and Mel and partners Jamie and Darren. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Everette's life which will be held at the Cedarhurst Golf and Country Club, 825 Concession Rd. 4 (between Durham Road 23 and Sideroad 17), Beaverton, on Thursday, July 2nd from 1 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is encouraging donations be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada in his memory.

After 86 years of a happy active life Florence died peacefully at Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa on Monday, June 29, 2009. Predeceased by her husband the late Cecil; her parents Mary and Robert Kerr; her step-children Robert Litster and Barbara Jones; brothers, William, Robert, Alex, Samuel and John; sisters Mae Emslie and Elsie Angus. Will be lovingly remembered by her step-grandchildren for her love and endless energy. Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Florence's Life at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 1:00 pm followed by interment of cremated remains at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens. Dear Grandmother of Dennis, John (Vivian), Brian (Karin), Robyn (Burke), Courtney (Pete), Melissa, Matthew, Debbie and Crystal (Don) and Great-Grandmother of Tyson, Haley, Justin, Jordan, Corey, William, Mackenzie and Hayden. Friends may call at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East in Whitby on Monday, July 6th from 10-11 A.M. at which time a Memorial service will take place in the chapel.
