Peacefully at The Wynfield with her family by her side on Saturday, June 27th, 2009, Alice Dearborn at 93 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Samuel Allan Dearborn. She was the last of 14 children of the late Maude and Daniel Gray. Dear mother of Janet Montgomery (Ron), Allan Dearborn (Frances), Joseph Dearborn (Bridget), and Michael Dearborn (Margaret). Lovingly remembered by her 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Sailed his "final Regatta" on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at the age of 64. Loving husband of Wendy, caring father to Jenn, the "Old Guy" to his grandson Curtis Tureck. Geoff was our family Tech Support, Handy Guy, Family Tree Builder, Passionate J24 Supporter, avid traveler, wine lover and crony. He will be truly missed by his nieces and nephews, cousins, Mom in Law and his grand circle of friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice, (905-432-8484) on Thursday, July 2nd at 2:30 p.m., to be followed by a celebration of his Life (casual golf or yachting attire if desired). Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, June 27th, 2009, at their cottage at the age of 73. Survived by his loving wife, and best friend of 51 years, Ruby (McKean). Papa will be sadly missed by seven grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Michelle, Darryl, Jennifer, Ryker and Carter. Predeceased by sister Marie (Nagel), and brother Bill in Canada and fondly remembered by brothers and sisters in The Netherlands, and Australia, and brothers and sisters-in-law in the Blue Mountain area. Peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Carole in her 68th year.
