At her home after a long illness on Friday, July 31, 2009. Loving mother of Rhonda Fahrer, Jennifer Servinis and partner Ryder Gilliland, and Ellen Servinis. Adoring grandmother of Sadie, Lucille, and Delilah. Fondly remembered by her sister Jeanette Roome and husband John, and their children, Jackie, Shelley, and Darren. A dedicated artist, she remains a creative inspiration to all who knew her. Peacefully on Friday, July 31st, 2009 at the Bowmanville Hospital. Beloved mother of Jane (Mike), Archie (Carole), Alexis and Andrew (Teresa). Doting Grandma of Katrina, Graeme, Hannah, Kelly, Colin, Caitlin, Steven and Adam. Loving sister of Jean McMonigal and Tilda Rolfe. Will also be sadly missed by many other family and friends. CROZIER (Gower), Lorraine Marguerite
Peacefully in her sleep on July 30, 2009 in her 84th year, with her loving family by her side. Lorraine is predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Henrietta Gower, brothers George, Norm and Doug, sister-in-law Muriel Gower, and brother-in-law John 'Sonny' Paterson and grandson Todd Jeremy. Lorraine was loving sister to Bernice Paterson, and sister-in-law to Betty Gower. Lorraine raised five children on her own, and was affectionately known as 'Lorraine and the five J's'. She was devoted mother of John and Brenda, Joanne, Janice, Jamie and Peggy, Jeff and Cindy. Lorraine adored her grandchildren Matthew, Jamie-Marisa, Aaron, Jonathan and Judy, Danielle, Dylan, and great-grandchildren Ary and Liam. Many treasured memories spent with their 'Nanna' will last forever. Lorraine worked for 25 years at the Oshawa Golf Club, where she was admired for her warm, energetic and engaging personality. Lorraine will be fondly remembered by the staff and residents of Faith Place where she reconnected with her best friend Betty Gadzik. Lorraine loved to share stories of her travel adventures with brothers Norm and Doug, particularly of one trip, where, at St. James Palace in England, she chatted with Prince Charles! Heartfelt thanks to Lovell Drugs of Oshawa, Palliative Care staff, Para-Med visiting nurses, including Michael Vanderbruggen and especially Linda Garner, ComCare PSWs, Gem and Pauline, for making our mother's last weeks and days comfortable and peaceful. A private family farewell was held at home; cremation followed August 1, 2009 at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Lorraine's life will be held in the late fall when all family members can attend. If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Charity of your choice. Lorraine's unconditional love of life, friends and family, and her wonderfully spirited sense of humour will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and will be cherished always.

Peacefully at her home in Oshawa, on Thursday, July 30th, 2009 in her 85th year. Loving wife of the late Maksim Jakym. Dearly loved mother of Mary and her husband Terry Latta, Alex and his wife Rita and Orest and his wife Anne. Much loved Baba of Michael and Dina, Joseph and Tracey, Crystal, Mariana and Vanessa. Fondly remembered by family in the Ukraine. After a long and courageous battle with Leukemia, Valerie passed away peacefully at home. Beloved wife of Walter. Dear mother of son Christopher and son Gregory (predeceased). She leaves behind, siblings, Sylvia Anderson, Stephanie Powers, Gerald Kemp, and Chester Kemp, along with Sister-in-law Linda Lopak, Brother-in-law Gary Lopak, and many nieces, nephews and cousins, her friends and all our many caring neighbours in our little Village of Columbus. God bless you all! Special thanks to Dr. Brandwein and staff at Princess Margaret Hospital, Dr. Chiu and staff at Durham Region Cancer Centre, and Partners-in-Nursing (Palliative Care). Valerie's wishes were to be cremated and no service held. However, there will be a memorial service as soon as arrangements can be made. Family and friends will be notified as soon as these arrangements are completed. They will be held at Eldad United Church, Solina, ON. Peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at her home in Oshawa at the age of 93. Ada, beloved wife of the late Jack Walker (2006). Much loved mother of Carole Smith of Uxbridge, Susan and her husband Gerald Natale of Whitby, and Jean Walker. Loved grandmother of Tom Hammond and his wife Kathy, Jacqueline Bowes and her husband Peter, Jamie Hammond, Theresa Watts, Justin Watts and his wife Sonya, Jeffery Natale, and Jeremy Natale and his wife Tara and great-grandmother of Karissa, Brandon, Justine, Ridley, Jake, Emma, Darren, Meeya, Christian and Kaitlyn. Ada is predeceased by sisters Alice Cullen, Mary Bird and Rhoda Oates, and brother Joe McCormick. She will be fondly remembered by her family in England.
