BOWCOTT, Alma Pearl
October 3, 1912 – August 11, 2009
Sadly, I must tell you my loving Mom passed away into God's arms in the early morning hours of August 11th. She was surrounded by her friends and family and she did it in her own way and on her own terms and we all feel lucky for that. Mom was in her 97th year. Now she is with her beloved husband George, daughter Phyllis Beadle and sisters Nettie Pindar and Lottie Mercer. Left to mourn her are her daughter Linda and husband Lorne Farley, son-in-law Murray and wife Bea Beadle and grand-daughter Janice Beadle. Also her precious Maltese puppies Robbie, Joey, Teddy Bear and Miss Lily. Thank you to the Paramedics, OGH Emergency Ward and 9th Floor Doctors and Nurses who cared for Mom. You did your best to keep her pain-free and comfortable and for that I will always be grateful. You were always there with a hug when the tears came. Sincere thank you to our family at the Wynfield in Purple Woods where Mom lived for the last five years. Each day you gave Mom dignity, love and lots of care. Remember how she liked to go travelling in her wheelchair, one 'You-Who' and you knew where she was. She loved each one of you and I know you loved her. Many thanks and much love for always being there for her when I couldn't be. You made Mom's last hours so special, beautiful music, friends reminiscing, you really are 'The Best'. When I learned that the ladies who cared for my Mom had lovingly walked beside her to the waiting funeral vehicle, I was overwhelmed. I am so proud to call you my family, I will love each of you forever. I remember how you taught me to sew and knit, whenever I made a mistake you always said 'Give it to me, I'll fix it for you'. Oh, how I miss you, I make so many mistakes. We will be laying Mom to rest at a Graveside Service at GROVESIDE CEMETERY, in Whitby on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 11:00 am. Arrangements have been entrusted to McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-5558). 'The years fly by so quickly, where do they go!'
