HORVATH, Susan
Passed away peacefully at Oshawa General Hospital on Wednesday, September 24th, 2009 at the age of 59. Beloved wife of Louis Horvath, loving mother of Attila Bakos, dear sister of Bela Nagy and step mother of Louis, Erica and Kristina. Dear grandmother of Samantha, Lauren, Jake, Madison, Shane and Olivia. Susan will be fondly missed by family and friends. Services will be held at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby (905-668-3410) on Tuesday, September 29th at 3:00pm, followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital, 610 University Avenue, Toronto, ON, M5G 2M9, would be appreciated.

HOUSEGO, James Gardner
(Ret. Bell Canada: Veteran WW II, Royal Canadian Air Force)
Passed away at Port Perry Hospital on Thursday, September 24th, 2009 in his 89th year. Dearly loved husband of Mary Ellen Housego (nee Tripp) for 61 years. Much loved Dad of Susan Turner, Brenda Schmeisser, Eugene Housego, Anne Pokocky (Eli), Cathie Schnarr and Paul Housego (Fay). Grandfather of Tammy, Joanne, Jennifer, James, Maya, Kimberley, Leah, Edward, Mary and Graeme. Great-Grandfather of Maggie, Teddy, Steven, Ashlynn and Erica. Shea-la will always be looking for Jim. Resting at MEMORIAL CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby (905-655-3662) from 2-6 pm Sunday. Funeral service in the chapel Monday, September 28th at 2:00 p.m. In memory of Jim, memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or Sunnybrook Veteran's Wing would be appreciated by the family.

HUNGERFORD, William Carl
1924 - 2009-09-25
Surrounded by his loving family, in God's arms, after a brief illness at Northumberland Hills Hospital on September 24th. Survived by his wife and best friend of 62 years, Shirley. So very proud of his sons: Bill (Pat), Martin, Jerry (Shirley), Philip (Marlene) and Curt (Kim). Grandchildren: Billy, Tracey, Amanda, Melissa, Tashanna, Rebecca, Eva and John. Great grandchildren: Jessica, Brittany, Austin, Ethan, Deacon, Olivia, Jordan, Talia. Many dear friends. Son of the late Lewis and Ivy Hungerford of Oshawa. Predeceased by brother, Eric. Oshawa born and schooled. Served as 2nd Lt. with the Armoured Corp. 4th PLDG in Europe 1943 - 46. 30 years Oshawa Canadian Legion. Worked 36 years at Oshawa GM and in 1977 moved to Campbellcroft. He loved walks in the woods, country life, and family gatherings. Friends are invited to call at the ROSS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 135 Walton St., Port Hope Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 and Wednesday from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Interment Providence Cemetery. Special thanks to Unit B Palliative Care Staff for their dedicated care. In lieu of flowers, donations to: NHH, War Amps or Cancer Society.

LEBLANC, Michel Claude Joseph 'Mike'
Passed away at his home in Port Hope on Thursday, September 24, 2009. Mike Leblanc beloved husband of Cathy Andrus. Dear father of Tina Leblanc (Scott Bray), Tami (Jeff O'Connor), Aaron Leblanc, Donna (Jason Smith), Dan Moore (Dawn). Also survived by grandchildren Skylar and Bailey O'Connor, Camdyn Bray, Taylor, Deacan and Tiyah Moore and Ethan Smith. Brother of Bob Leblanc (Marilyn), Carole Leblanc (Bill Smith) and the late Roger Leblanc survived by sister-in-law Judy. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the home of Rhonda and Dale Kamrath, 4598 Marsh Road, Port Hope on Thursday, October 1, 2009 from 12 Noon until Service of Remembrance at 2 pm. If desired, memorial contributions may be made by cheque to Access for Kids - 'Zac's Dream'.

MacLENNAN, Myra Lynn

On Thursday, September 24, 2009, at St. Michael's Hospital, in Toronto, at age 49. Myra, beloved wife of Iain Mackie of Port Perry. Dearly loved daughter of Winnifred and the late David MacLennan of Bracebridge. Loving sister of David MacLennan and his wife Sandra of Bracebridge, Kevin MacLennan and his wife Tracey of Newmarket, and Craig MacLennan of Toronto. Loved aunt of Samantha, Andrew, and Aislinn. The family of Myra MacLennan will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Sunday, September 27th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Port Perry United Church, 294 Queen Street in Port Perry on Monday, September 28th at 11:15 a.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.

NIDDERY, JANNETTE (JANE)
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Jannette, beloved wife of the late Jack Niddery. Loved mother of Connie and her husband Tom Dewell. Loved grandmother of Wade, Doug and his wife Tracy and Mike. Loving great-grandmother of Wade Jr., Jessica and Bryanna. Private family service will be held at the MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4 Divisiion St., Bowmanville. Cremation at Bowmanville Crematorium with interment of cremated remains in Bowmanville Cemetery. Donations in Jannette's memory to the Charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated.

PIPHER, Hilda
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Bay Ridges Long Term Care Facility in her 102nd year. Loving wife of the late William. Cherished mother of the late June (Arthur Hughes). Devoted grandmother of David (Jane), Diane (Ron Chin) and great- grandmother of Matthew, Sarah and Rebecca. Dear sister of Frances Forder. STUCKEY, Helen
Formerly of Guelph, Helen entered into rest with family by her side at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Thursday, September 24, 2009 after a courageous battle. Helen Jean Stuckey (nee Otter), in her 82nd year, was the beloved wife of William (Bill) Stuckey of Cannington. Loving daughter of the late Harry and Annie Otter. Dear sister of Stella Baker of Markham. Predeceased by her siblings Mary, Joe, Olga, John, Paul and Fred. Dear sister-in-law of Niece, Jean and Shirley Otter, Jean Vollett and Reta and Wally Frost. Dearly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St. S., in Cannington, on Sunday, September 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation will follow with interment of cremated remains later at Wideman Mennonite Cemetery in Markham. With great sadness and heavy hearts we announce that Gerry passed away peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009 in his 75th year. Loving father of Michael and wife Carolin, Tammy and husband Gregg, Susan and husband Shawn. Grandfather of Michael, Janalyn, Cameron, and Sydney. Long-time companion of dog Princess Lia. On Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at the Community Nursing Home, in Port Perry, at age 90. Lola (nee Barnard), loving mother of Thelma 'Bunny' and her husband, Bob Rowland of Port Perry. Loved grandmother of Margaret and Janet. Dear sister of the late Thelma and her husband, Archie McEachern. The family of Lola McEachern will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Saturday, September 26 from 12 - 1 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel at 1 p.m. with Reverend Elaine Sveet officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Port Perry United Church Memorial Fund.
