Mrs. Edna Eva Fleming
December 7, 1924 - February 26, 2008

Peacefully at the Village Green Nursing Home, Selby, Ontario, on Tuesday, February 26, 2008. Beloved wife of Keith Fleming. Dear stepmother of Janet Fleming and the late James Fleming and grandmother of James Fleming. Survived by brother Roy Miller and his wife Marie of Peterborough and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Dora Frankland, Florence Wood and Naomi Martin and brothers Stanley, Iner, Eldon and Garnett Miller.

Friends may call at the Central Chapel of the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 49 Colborne St. (at Clergy) on Friday from 10 - 11 a.m. Funeral Service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Village Green Nursing Home, Selby, would be appreciated by the family.

Mrs. Esther Adelstein
February 15, 1931 - February 27, 2008

ADELSTEIN, Esther - passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 77 years of age, with her beloved husband of 57 years Albert by her side. A wonderful mother to her three sons; Sam, Brian (Ilona) and Mark (Michelle). She leaves behind five grandchildren; Jordan, Michael, David, Danielle and Jared. Survived by brother Morris Skosov of Israel. Sister-in-law of Edith Adelstein. Loving aunt of Rochelle Glazer, Sid Morris and Bert Davidson. Born in Sarnia, Ontario she attended the University of Toronto. Later she returned to Brock University and obtained her teaching degree. Esther was a wonderful teacher of special needs children working for the District School Board of Niagara. She was actively involved with Haddasah, B'nai Brith, past president of B'nai Israel Sisterhood and a long standing member of B'nai Israel Synagogue. During her years of good health Esther was an avid reader and she enjoyed golfing and curling with many friends at the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club. The family would like to thank the many wonderful, caring and compassionate caregivers that helped care for Esther; Carol, Cindy, Shari, Sarah and Jessica. Funeral service to take place on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of PATRICK DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL (39 Court St., St. Catharines 905-685-6584). Interment to follow at B'nai Israel cemetery (Bunting Rd.). In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation "New Building Fund" (142 Queenston St., St. Catharines, ON L2R 7C6) would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully on February 25, 2008 at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto at the age of 90. Antonina, beloved wife of the late Antonino. Beloved mother of Franco Agueci and his wife Pina, Graziella Cutrona and her late husband Franco, the late Erasmo Grutta and his surviving wife Maria, Sina Internicola and her husband Sam, Lorenzo Grutta and his wife Savina and Leonardo Grutta and his wife Lina. Cherished Nonna to 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Grutta is resting at Scott Funeral Home, "Mississauga Chapel", 420 Dundas St. E. (one block west of Cawthra Rd.) Mississauga 905-272-4040, for visitation on Wednesday and Thursday 3 - 5pm & 7 - 9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday morning February 29, 2008 in Holy Angels Church (61 Jutland Rd., Etobicoke) at 10 o'clock. Entombment Holy Cross cemetery , Thornhill, ON.

Mrs. Patricia Hillis
January 22, 1931 - February 28, 2008

passed away suddenly in the hospital on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at the age of 77. Pat, beloved wife of the late Joseph. Dear mother of Deborah (Carlos) and the late Robert (survived by his wife Barbara). Loving grandmother of Michael (Kyla), Anthony, Nicolas (Karina), Kimberlea ( Jerry), Karolea (Rick), Kristopher (Tara), and Kevin (Trish). Great grandmother of nine. Sister of Bill (Joyce). She will be fondly remembered by her extended family members and friends. Visitation at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel & Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line (Dundas/403) in Oakville, 905-257-8822, on Friday, February 29th from 6pm 9pm and Saturday, March 1st from 10:00 am 11:00 am, with a funeral service to follow in the chapel at 11:00 am. Interment at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Mrs. Estelle "Blondie" Chamberlain
August 13, 1926 - February 27, 2008

Peacefully at home with family, on February 27th, 2008 our mom passed away after a hard fought fight with cancer in her 82nd year. Affectionately known as Blondie or Goldie, she was predeceased by her dear husband Walter in 2005.

Cherished mom of Bill Simon (Mary), Fred Simon (Margaret), Beverly Luey (Allan) and Debbie Martin (Gary). Special grandma to eleven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and their families. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Dear 'Mamma' to her cat Mickey.

Mom was the last member of her immediate family and she missed them all so much.

Predeceased by her mother Gladys Brewer (Allum), father John Allum, step-father Richard Brewer, sisters Joyce Campbell, Frances Richardson, Dorothy Cooke, Betty Kavanagh, Eileen Stephenson and brother Edward Allum. Survived by sister in law Helen Allum and brother in law Jim Kavanagh.

Mom loved to go to bingo, the casino, to the patios in Hess Village in the summer or Ray's Place for a cold one, and for car rides that included stops for treats.

We would like to thank everyone for the excellent care given to mom and support to us especially, Dr. Marie Noronha and her assistant Christine, Dr. Peter Ellis and nurse Sally and the staff and volunteers at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Jane and Nancy from Saint Elizabeth Health Care, Melissa from the CCAC of Halton, Jackie from THC and Faridah from Comcare.

Friends will be received at the DODSWORTH AND BROWN Funeral home ROBINSON CHAPEL (King street East at Wellington) on Sunday March 2nd, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9. Service to be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday March 3rd, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations can be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre.
