SMYTHSON, Barbara Ardena
At the age of 65, passed away peacefully with her family and best friend Shelagh Humphrey at her side on September 8, 2009. Barbara is survived by her loving mother Esther Nicholson, her loving husband Arnold Santos, and her loving and devoted daughters Jennifer (Jeff) and Michelle. Barbara's cherished grandchildren are Jack, Katie, Matthew and Nicole. She was fortunate to have many special siblings that adored her: Derek (Tana), Brian, Bill (Barbara), Phyllis, Geoff (Jan), Stephen (Sandie) and a host of nieces and nephews will always hold her in their hearts. Barbara is predeceased by her father Richard Ernest Nicholson and brother John Nicholson (Marilyn). Our mother will be sorely missed by her friends and we are dearly grateful to all of them for their endless love and support. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Leonard Frederick Stire at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on Tuesday, September 8, 2009. He was born on December 2, 1915 at Dashwood, Ontario. He was the dearly loved husband of Gwenyth Stire (predeceased) and Olwyn Stire (predeceased). He was the dearly loved father of Judith Rosanne Coppins. He was the son of Christina & Nicholas Stire (predeceased). Dearly loved brother to Walter, Milford, Lloyd, Gord and sisters Elda, Edna and Verna, all predeceased. He was a proud grandpa to David Randolph Coppins and great-grandpa to Boston & Hunter Coppins. He leaves behind many nieces & nephews. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. Anna Nagy joined her beloved husband Michael on Monday, September 7th, 2009 after passing away peacefully at home. She was surrounded by family and friends throughout a courageous battle with cancer.
