RUSSELL, Irene Edith

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends on September 3rd 2009.
Irene will be missed deeply by her husband and companion, Jim of 59 years.
Beloved mother of Bob Russell & his wife, Jess; Kathie Rowsell & her husband, Allan and John Russell and his wife, Valerie.
Cherished grandmother to Blake, Blair, Jamie, Heather, Andrew and Christopher.
Born and raised in Franklin, New Jersey, and proudly American, Irene embraced her married life and professional life in Canada, and was a loving wife, mother and a talented teacher.
A sincere thanks to the loving and caring treatment by our primary caregiver, Brenda Ashton, and the PSWs and nurses from Comcare and Respite.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, Bowmanville, on Monday, September 7, 2009 from 7-9 pm.
A Memorial Service will be held at ST. ANDREWS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 11am.
A Reception will follow in the church basement.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, in memory of Irene would be appreciated.

JONES, Lloyd R.D.

Passed away peacefully at Rouge Valley Hospital, Ajax on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at the age of 82.
Lloyd, beloved husband of Betty.
Loving father of Stephen (Carole), Richard, and Elmer.
Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Kate, Hallee, and Travis.
He will be remembered by his nephew, Gary Kennedy.
Lloyd is predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Anne, and his sisters, Viola Jones and Dora Kennedy.
Donations made to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

LOEFFEN, Anthony

Suddenly at his residence, on Wednesday, September 2, 2009. Anthony Loeffen, in his 83rd year.
Dearly beloved son of the late Lambert and Wilhelmina Loeffen.
Oldest brother of Jules, Peter, Mientje Klumper, Bill, Jackie Kurtz, John, Annette Kea, Frank, Larry and the late Ria Spykerman, Lambert and Leo.
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street, East, Oshawa (905-433-4711) With Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 11 a.m.
Interment, Resurrection Cemetery, Whitby.
Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening at 8 p.m.
Memorial Donations to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Visitation commencing Friday evening from 7 - 9 p.m.

Suddenly at her residence on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009, Dena Maltese at 35 years of age.
Dena will be sadly missed by her mother, Margaret Giroux, her father, John Maltese, her son, Barrington and her extended family and friends.

After a brief illness with his family by his side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, in his 60th year.
Beloved husband of Patricia.
Loving father to Robert (wife Christine) and Kerry-Ann (husband Trevor).
Grandfather of eight precious grandchildren.
Tom will be sadly missed by his ten siblings and all who knew him.
Friends will be received at MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (north of Hwy. 2), 905-443-3376 on Monday, September 7, 2009 at 11 a.m. for a Celebration of Thomas' Life.
Cremation.

YARROW, Donald B.

Suddenly at Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville, on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 in his 69th year.
Beloved husband of 46 years to Sheila.
Predeceased by son, Brian Yarrow. Loving father to Mike Yarrow (Tracey), and Robin Dugas.
Missed by his many grandchildren.
Survived by his twin sister, Dale Marcotte (Vic).
Don will be sadly missed by his extended family and many friends.
Respecting Don's wishes, cremation will take place with no funeral service.

Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 in his 71st year.
Dearly loved husband of Carmelle (nee Lebel) of Nestleton.
Much loved dad to Micheline and her husband, Jason Rushton and Michelle Devost and her husband, Matthew Oliver all of Bowmanville.
Loved Pépé of Erik, Jordan, Branden, James and Logan.
Fondly remembered by close friend, Les.
Survived by his brothers, Mando and Noel and sister, Lorraine.
Predeceased by brother, Octave.
Resting at MEMORIAL CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby, from 1-3 pm Sunday (Sept. 6th).
A reception will follow immediately in the Funeral Home.

OLIVA, Jean Sally

Peacefully, with her family by her side at Rouge Valley Health System, Ajax, on Tuesday, September 1, 2009, Jean, at 87 years of age.
Beloved wife of the late Anthony Oliva, Cherished mother of Jeanette Smith (Richard), Joanne Warman (Fred) and Gregory Oliva.
Dear grandmother of Peter (Nadia), Timmy and Tanya as well as two step-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Survived by her brother, John (Lila), predeceased by brothers and sisters; Annie, Mary, Stanley, Rose, Helen, Kay, Michael, Bill and Olga.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 300 Dundas St. W., Whitby, on Friday, September 4th at 12 noon.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to service time.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
