Peacefully, at Ballycliffe Nursing Home, Ajax, on Tuesday, January 30, 2007. Marguerite, in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Cyril George Norris. Loving mother of Daniel Norris, Wayne and his wife, Carol Norris, Nancy and her husband, Fred Konkle, Tim Norris and the late Peter Norris. Mother-in-law of Carol Anne Norris. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Janice and Richard McPaul, Shelley and Roger Casement, Jeff and Jane Norris, Rene Konkle and Paul Skuse, Jennifer Norris, Shane and Lisa Konkle and great-grandchildren Kenneth, Chad, Brittany, James, Breanne, Ryan, Joshua, Amber, Katelyn and Tyza. Predeceased by her sister Muriel Wright, and twin sister Patricia McKenzie. ROSS, Clarke
Passed over peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Lakeridge Health in Port Perry. Devoted husband for 65 years of Lillian (Benny) nee Fralick. Beloved Father and Father-in-law of Karen and Bill (Huestis). Loving grandpa of Kathy (Darrell), Kim (Ralph) and Kevin (Catherine) and loving great-grandpa of Brendan, Stephanie and Alyssa. Clarke will be sadly missed by all, including his sister Marion (John) Quigley and his many nieces and nephews. Born in Canning, Nova Scotia, in 1918. He came to Toronto, in 1936, he worked for Danforth Radio and Multi-Tech. Clarke enlisted in the R.A.F. in 1941 and served overseas for 3 years. He was a member of Whitevale G.C. and worked and played at Crestwood Golf Club. Clarke was honoured with a Life Membership in the Lions Club. He was a longtime member of the Seagrave United Church and served as a Steward, Elder and Choir member. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Smith, all the nurses and staff who so lovingly cared for him during his long hospital stay, also many thanks to Rev. Ross Carson for his many visits and care. They will all miss Clarke's wonderful sense of humour. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation or the Seagrave United Church would be appreciated.

SPEIRAN, James Meldrum
Peacefully, at home with his family on Monday, January 29th at the age of 87. A WWII RCAF veteran, "Jimmy" was the beloved and devoted husband of 58 years to Ruth, loving father to Ian and cherished father-in-law of Catherine. Proud and loving Grampa to Evan & Charlotte. Dear brother of Ruth Overton and much loved uncle of Ellen and Jeff Overton (Lisa). Jimmy is also fondly remembered by the Walters family of Toronto, and Calgary. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Jim's favorite charity, The Salvation Army, would be appreciated. Cremation and a private interment ceremony have already taken place at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby. The family would like to invite all friends and relatives to join them on Saturday, February 3rd at the Wilmot Creek Community Wheelhouse (exit the 401 east at Bennett Rd., south and follow the signs) at 1 pm for a memorial service and celebration of Jim's life. Thanks go out to Deana and the rest of the palliative care team from Paramed and Dr. Leon Irish for their support during Jim's last months.

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on January 29, 2007 at the age of 75. Born in Holland, on August 4, 1931 and immigrated to Canada, in 1951 with his brother, Joe. Survived by his wife, Anne (nee: Deriet). Loving father of Peter and his wife, Pam, Mary Anne and her husband Robert, Gerald and his wife Anita and Debra and her husband James. Proud grandfather of Amanda, James, Jessica, Alex, Steven, Amy, Scott and Connor. Fondly remembered by his extended family and friends here and in Holland. Resting at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, (110 Dundas Street E, Whitby, 905-668- 3410). Visitation will be Thursday, February 1, from 6-9pm. A service will be held in the chapel on Friday, February 2, at 1:00pm.
