DENYS, Sheila Madeline (nee Kimmerly)
Friday, January 12th, 2007 at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, peacefully with husband Alec and son Nicholas at her side. Mother Effie and other family members were also present. Sheila, loving daughter of Dr. Ralph Kimmerly and Effie Kimmerly of Oshawa, Ontario. Sister of Ruth and husband Brian Lynch of Dorset, Ontario, Barbara and husband Chuck Vessey of Washago, Ontario, David and wife Carol Kimmerly of Oshawa, Ontario, Megan and the late Jerry Heap of Oshawa, Ontario and Alan and wife Karen Kimmerly of Orillia, Ontario. Daughter-in-law to Teresa and the late Alec Denys. Sister-in-law of Michael and wife Susan Denys, Judy and husband Bob Stone, Ingrid and husband Mike Hentz, Jeff and wife Gail Denys and Ann and husband Edwin Smith. Will be fondly remembered by her many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. At Sheila's request a private family remembrance was held after cremation. Memorial donations to Spinal Cord Society of Canada or The Canadian Paralympics Committee would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905)721-1234 Oshawa, Ontario.

FINDLAY, Dorothy Eileen (nee Smith)
At Lakeridge Health-Bowmanville on Friday, January 12th, 2007 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late John. Loving mother of William (Katell), Patricia, John (Bev), Mary Marcinkiewicz (Butch) and grandmother of Rick, Eva-Lowmay, Ken, Debbie, Chris, Michael, Shelley, Tina and great-grandmother of 12. Predeceased by her parents, John and Elizabeth Smith, her sister Mildred and brothers Frederick, Jack, Ernest and Arthur. Thank you to the staff at Marnwood Life Care Centre for their compassionate care and to Dr. Michelle Albert. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Friday, January 19th from 1:00 P.M. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3:00 P.M. Dear sister of Eileen Moore, Maurice Stephens, Marion Elmy, Helen Cook, Peggy Frank, Gregg Stephens, Robert Stephens and the late Ruby Knapp, Betty Thompson and William Stephens. Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street N. Bowmanville on Monday, January 15th, 2007 from 2

GLADMAN, Madeline Anne, nee McGrail
On January 12, 2007, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in her 92nd year following hip surgeries in early November and December. Lifelong resident of Oshawa. Predeceased by her husband, Arthur (WWII Veteran, GM retiree), grandson Arthur Gladman Jr., two sisters, Elizabeth McMaster of Honey Harbour and Joyce Gill of Scarborough and brother Jim Warwick of Oregon. Loving mother of Dorothy Jamieson (Jim) of Newcastle, Arthur of Oshawa, and Robert (Lyn) of Mississauga. Beloved Grandmother of Lorne, Leanne Jamieson (Florida), Drew and Donna Sykes, Great grandmother of Andrea, Ryan, Trevor and Nathan Chinn (Florida), Melissa, Micheal and Nicole Sykes of Timmins, Zechariah and Kayla Sykes of Yukon. Great-Great Grandmother of Naomie. Survived by two sisters Marjorie Henry (Clay) and Margaret (Clark) Verby (John), one uncle, John Major (Stella) of Scarborough. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Madeline was a very active member of her church for many years, long-time member of Woodview Park Dart League. Private family viewing was entrusted to ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, on January 14 followed by cremation. A special thank you and "God Bless" to Gordon Whitney, chaplain at the Wynfield where she resided since 2003. At Madeline's request, a family Celebration of her life will be held at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens in the spring. Donations in Madeline's memory would be appreciated by the family to the Charity of your choice.

SMYTH, Catherine
With regret, we announce the passing of Catherine "Cathy" Adelaide Smyth on Friday, January 12, 2007 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in her 89th year. Loving wife of the late George Smyth. Mother of Noel (Sheila), Jennifer (Francis) and Rosemary (Adrian). Grandmother of Emily (Ken), Stephanie, Meghan and Brendan. Sister of the late Jack and Vernon Ogle. Catherine will be greatly missed by her sisters-in-law, Isabel and Marie, her nieces and nephews, extended family members and her many friends. Funeral Service to take place on Tuesday, January 16 at 2 p.m. at St. Timothy's Presbyterian Church, (97 Burcher Rd., Ajax, ON.) In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Timothy's Presbyterian Church or Amnesty International would be greatly appreciated.

Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with his family by his side on Friday, January 12, 2007. Bob Watson in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Alice Baker Watson. Loving father of Eveline & her husband, Gordon Brown, Marian & her husband, Chris Tanner, and Robert Jr. & his wife, Carol. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Stephen (Lori), Michael, Mark (Colleen), Andrew (Melanie), Alison (Chris), Robbie (Helen), Nicholas and Alan, and by his great-grandchildren Kyla, Stephanie, Cameron, Keith, Aiyan, and Maia. Passed away suddenly at her residence on the morning of Friday, January 12th 2007 at the age of 41 years. Ronalda, lovingly remembered by her life partner James MacFarlane of Bowmanville. Loved daughter of Audrey and her husband Jim Brookfield of Bowmanville. Dearest sister of Darrin and Dale White and their two children Nelson and Nathan of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Remembered by her loving grandfather Elmer Wheeler of Bowmanville and all her aunts, uncles and family on the White and Wheeler side. Also lovingly remembered by James's family members Cliff and Donalda MacFarlane of Deep River, Ontario. Don and Dianne MacFarlane of Barrie, Ontario and their four children Andrew, Sarah, Laura and Alison, Robert and Kathy MacFarlane of Pembroke, Ontario, Sandra MacFarlane and Robert Niesen of Indian River, Ontario and Greg and Alison Owens and family of Bowmanville. Ronalda will be greatly missed for her laughter and her loving gentle spirit that touched all our lives. Peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at home with his family at his side; in his 54th year. Beloved husband of Candy. Father of Kristy, Bradley, Matthew and family pets. Robert is survived by his mother Bertha; sister Bonnie and family; brother Brian and family; uncle Bruce and family. Robert was dedicated to his family and to his work at "Jerry's The Drug Warehouse". Guests will be received at the MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby (just north of Hwy 2) on Saturday, January 13th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 14th at 1pm in the chapel. A Private family cremation will take place at a later date.
